ABSOLUTE ESCAPE FROM TEMPTATION

by Tony Alamo

It is just as important for us to believe that we who are born again Christians are at this time sitting with Christ in heavenly places as it is for us to believe the scriptures regarding the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus into the kingdom of Heaven. Paul said in Ephesians 1:17-23, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.

We are anchored in Jesus from temptation when we constantly remind ourselves that Jesus is alive in us and that we are alive in Him, sitting with Him in heavenly places.1 He said that He was with His disciples, but after His resurrection and ascension, He would be “IN” them (us) and because of our being alive in Him, sitting with Him, and in Him, we would be hidden from the hour of temptation.2 Christians who are tempted are immediately released from the temptation when they know themselves that Jesus is alive in them and they are sitting with Him in heavenly places by Jesus the Holy Spirit being alive and active in them.

God is a Spirit, not a ghost, and those who worship Him must worship Him in their spirit, and in and by Christ the Holy Spirit, and in truth, the Word of God is Christ (John 4:23-24).3

The Father was always with Jesus and in Him while here on earth as a man (God-man) (John 8:29, 10:30, 14:10-11, 17:21-23). This is a very important message. Jesus was God was walking around in human flesh (the Son of Man). He had to be anchored to the Father in Heaven because human flesh is human flesh. “The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak” (Mark 14:38). This is why we must rely on Jesus living in us by the Holy Spirit, the Father, Jesus, the Word of God to be powerful and ready! Ready for what? Ready for everything and anything!! Ready for the rebuke and resistance of all temptation! Ready for every trial! Ready for every persecution! Ready for a martyr’s death! Ready for anything and everything!

So it is of the utmost importance for Christ Himself to live in us by the Spirit, and for us to be with Christ in Heavenly places. Christ is willing to keep you if you will live and abide in Him, with Him in Heavenly places!! But you must discipline yourself to do this! You must discipline yourself to be disciplined by the Holy Spirit, Christ in you, the Hope of Glory. We cannot sleep or slumber spiritually! You and I must fight the good fight of faith.4 When a person is near shore and is near death by drowning, they must, with all their might, fight to get to the safe haven of shore. You cannot just pray, you must pray and swim, or at least try to swim!

By your receiving this short but true message, you will for sure be free from every temptation! This will also give you full assurance that you are saved and on your way to Heaven because you will experience the power of Jesus living in you, healing you, anointing you, and keeping you in His life while you are in your mortal body here on earth, which mortal body is His which is the temple of God, where Jesus, the fullness of the Godhead bodily God lives in you in this world. You are alive when He lives in you by the Spirit living in you in heavenly places. To receive your initial salvation, say this prayer to God now:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the watery death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God in Christ on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourselves one to another and do what the Word says, so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.
Praise the Lord. May God bless and reward you abundantly.
Yours in the wonderful name of Jesus,

Pastor Tony Alamo
