DON’T LISTEN TO THE DEVIL
by Tony Alamo
Don’t listen to people who are telling you that it’s okay to sin, or fallacies such as that Jesus was married and had a son, and other lies, that King Solomon didn’t know God. Those who say these things are extremely ignorant to the Holy Spirit, or they are devils. The devil “was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it” (John 8:44).
The Bible was given to totally consecrated men by the Holy Spirit over the course of thousands of years,1 and those who tell you these unscriptural lies are not even saved. The Word of God tells us that these spiritually dead people or demons don’t know and can’t know the Word of God or the workings of God. The apostle Paul states, “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (I Cor. 2:12-14).
Jesus was never married. He never had a son the way men have sons. We are fathered into the kingdom of Heaven as adopted sons, with the same benefits as Jesus2 (the only begotten of the Father), by belief in the Word of God, to obey it, which is Jesus (John 1:1, 14, Rev. 19:13). “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together” (Rom. 8:14-17).
It doesn’t hurt Jesus or me if you believe these liars and false accusers, false prophets. I receive the same good reward from God, whether you believe me or not. God said to Ezekiel as He tells us, “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at My mouth, and give them warning from Me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul” (Ezek. 3:17-21).
Solomon was anointed by the Holy Spirit to write several books of the Bible. These include Proverbs, the Book of Wisdom, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon, among others. Jesus was with God the Father in the beginning, filled with the eternal Spirit of ecstasy, a Spirit completely unknown to natural man. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God” (John 1:1-2). Christ, having been begotten by the Holy Spirit, took on a human body, exactly like a man, but He, by being God Himself inside this human body, was able to have never sinned. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Heb 4:15). “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,Who by Him do believe in God, that raised Him up from the dead, and gave Him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God” (1 Peter 1:19-21). He never needed to be married. He never did marry, and He never had a son. ”For He whom God hath sent speaketh the Words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him” (John 3:34). “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works’ sake” (John 14:10-11).
The Holy Spirit living in our human bodies mortifies or kills the desire of the flesh as well as the ideas in the mind to sin that come from Satan’s influence in our flesh, influenced by the devil.3 Some people say they have a rough time trying to live a holy life, that the devil keeps coming to them with the same temptations they had before they were saved. I tell them what God says. The Holy Spirit mortifies all ungodly thoughts and desires. The Holy Spirit kills all satanic lusts, desires, and deeds. Seek God to receive the fear of the Lord. If you fear God with a true Godly fear, if you receive the fear of the Lord, you will always move in the Holy Spirit, which will keep your flesh mortified.4 Don’t live or work around places where you are being tempted but flee from the very appearance of evil!5 “Abstain from all appearance of evil” (1 Thes. 5:22).
The devil has been doing everything in his power to discourage people from coming to live at my churches because they are places of refuge for those who fear and love God and want to keep His commandments that they may spend eternity in Heaven. Only God could have kept us open all these years with all of the persecutions we’ve had. If I am not of and from God, then why are the powers of darkness persecuting me so much? I really thank and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for all His power and mercy and might, as well as His leading and guidance throughout all the years. God doesn’t tolerate sin at all! He hates the workers of iniquity, sin. He hates false accusers, liars. “These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood [for one, abortion—murder], An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren” (Prov. 6:16-19).
The devil knows that “Christians” have been deceived into believing that they don’t need to do works after they are saved.6 This is false! If Christians hear fallacy and don’t rebuke it with the Word of God, they will be judged as not doing or having works. James said, “I will show thee my faith by my works” (Jas. 2:18).
If you’re not paying attention to the Word of God, if you are shining Him on, then listen to what He tells you: “The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck. My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird. And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives. So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
“Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you [God says], I will make known My words unto you.
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out My hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all My counsel, and would none of My reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh [When you’re dying, God will laugh at you, and mock you, when you’re groveling and foaming at the mouth before Him. When you see that in less than one moment you’ll be in Hell for an eternity, and now you will begin screaming to the top of your lungs, ‘No, God!’ God will then mock you back and say, ‘No, God!’ You’ll scream out, ‘Please, no, God!’ and He will mock you back saying, ‘Please, no, God!!’ Then you will hear Him laughing at you!!]; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they [you] call upon Me, but I will not answer [you]; they [you] shall seek Me early, but they [you] shall not find Me: For that they [you] hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They [you] would none of My counsel: they [you] despised all My reproof. Therefore shall they [you] eat of the fruit of their [your] own way, and be filled with their [your] own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Proverbs ch. 1).
Don’t you want to be quiet from fear of ending up in Hell? None of us know when the Lord will take our spirits out of this world. If your choice is God’s way instead of your way—if it’s Heaven instead of Hell—then say this prayer of salvation to God in the name of Jesus and be forgiven of all your former sins. Then if you really want to learn all you can about God, you’re welcome to attend our church or move into one of our living facilities that God has provided!
My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11
You’ve just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.
Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.
Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
