The words of JESUS are for all mankind. Can you believe HE would say to us in these last days in which we are living, “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in GOD, believe also in ME” (John 14:1)? Now JESUS is telling us to believe in HIM as much as we are supposed to believe in GOD. John 1:1 says that JESUS is GOD, the WORD of GOD, and verse 14 says that HE became flesh. In other words, HE became a man. Now the Bible tells us that GOD is in JESUS and JESUS is in GOD by the HOLY SPIRIT. GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT are one GOD, and they want us to be one with them, one GOD.1

JESUS explains that GOD lives in many mansions, many bodies. Again, JESUS said, “Believe also in ME.” In John 14:2 HE states, “In My FATHER’S house [that is where GOD lives] are many mansions [or temples or human bodies, believers. These are only the bodies, temples, or mansions that do HIS will and keep HIS commandments. In other words, GOD, JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT, will live in us if we keep HIS commandments, if we do GOD’S will2]. If this were not true, I would have told you.”

Then JESUS says, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). When JESUS went away to prepare a place for all who would follow HIM, HE was saying that HE would become the HOLY SPIRIT, the COMFORTER. GOD was living in just one human body which was JESUS, so HE was confined to time and space. HE was the only temple or mansion of GOD that GOD lived in at that time, and GOD wanted to live in many temples, many mansions, many human bodies. In John 14:3, JESUS said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you [when I become the HOLY SPIRIT], I will come again, and receive you unto MYSELF; that where I am [by the HOLY SPIRIT], there ye may be also.” And in John 14:4, JESUS says, “Where I go, you know, and the way you know.”

In John chapter six, JESUS had previously told HIS disciples that HE came from GOD in Heaven.3 That is why JESUS told them, “Where I go, you know.” HE also told them that they knew the way. To make sure they knew the way, JESUS clarified HIS statement. In John 14:5, Thomas said unto HIM, LORD, we know not where you go; And how can we know the way? Jesus responded in verse six. JESUS said unto him, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man who has ever been born is able to come unto the FATHER, but by ME (John 14:6).

JESUS, by saying what HE said here, is stating that every religion is false, and every proud person that believes that they can enter into Heaven by any way other than HIM is a liar. GOD sent HIS SON into the world to save sinners.4 We are saved by faith in what HE says because HE is the WORD of GOD.5 If we believe what HE says, we will keep HIS commandments.6 The first and most important commandment of them all was stated by JESUS in Mark 12:30: “Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

How would I be able to love the LORD by viewing the pictures that uninformed artists painted of HIM? They depict a frail man with long, stringy, blond hair and blue eyes. I have seen JESUS. HE appeared before me with my eyes wide open (I was awake). HE doesn’t look like that. HE has curly black hair, a beard, and dark, brownish-black eyes. HE is a Jew. HE looks very much like I did when I was a young Jewish man. Our skin is the same color. Everyone’s skin in Heaven is a beautiful golden color. We are not to love GOD for the way HE looks; we are to love HIM for what HE has done, and for HIS coming into the world as a man for us humans.

The Muslims and members of many other religions believe they can’t know GOD. They believe that HE is far off, abstract, and we are like so many ants to Him. They believe it would be impossible for GOD to come into the world as a baby, have HIS diaper changed, and have to suck on HIS mother Mary’s breasts, let alone to show us that it is very possible for us to live in a human body and not sin IF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LIVING IN US.

“Ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY SPIRIT is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). JESUS has become the COMFORTER.7 What does GOD give us all of this power for? And what is the purpose of this power? The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT living in us gives us the power to keep the first and second commandments, which are “to love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength, and to love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:29-31).

GOD in JESUS came into the world to tell us what all of this means. “HE that has seen ME has seen the FATHER” (John 14:9b). HE rebukes Philip by saying, “Believest thou not that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of MYSELF: but the FATHER that dwelleth in ME [in my human body], HE [GOD] does the works.” Then JESUS commands HIS disciples in verse eleven, “Believe ME that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME: or else believe ME for the very works’ sake.” JESUS goes on to tell them that if they believe in HIM, “The works that I do shall [you] do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto MY FATHER” (John 14:12).

Loving the LORD means you love that HE shows you the way into Heaven. You love HIM because HE shows you the truth and gives you HIS eternal life to be in Heaven with HIM. HE gives you the power to love one another and to love your neighbor. The LORD came into this world to show us what we are to do to be in Heaven, and HE gives us the power to do it. “And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY name, that will I do, that the FATHER may be glorified in the SON” (John 14:13). JESUS says that if ye shall ask anything in HIS name, HE will do it. But in verse fifteen, the LORD tells us that this is a conditional promise. That condition is, “If you love ME, keep MY commandments.”

In verse sixteen, JESUS shows us how to receive the HOLY SPIRIT. Keep HIS commandments, “And I will pray the FATHER, and HE shall give you another COMFORTER [the HOLY SPIRIT], that HE [the FATHER in ME] may abide [live] with you for ever; Even the [HOLY] SPIRIT of truth; whom the world [unsaved false religions] cannot receive, because it [they] seeth HIM not, neither knoweth HIM: but ye [born-again Christians] know HIM; for HE dwells with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless [without ME living in you]: I will come to you” (John 14:17-18).

HE will come to you and live in you with the FATHER by the SPIRIT if you agree to lead an unsaved world to the way to Heaven, which is CHRIST, to the way to truth, which is CHRIST, and to the way to eternal life, which is CHRIST.8

GOD by the HOLY SPIRIT will give you rule over your own spirit, yourself, which will bear record to the unsaved people of the world that CHRIST in the FATHER by the SPIRIT is in you. HE will be in you by saying this prayer:

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
