JESUS CAME NOT TO CONDEMN, BUT TO SAVE
by Tony Alamo
Matthew 9:2 states, “And, behold, they [some people who had faith in JESUS’ faith in HIS ability to heal the sick] brought to HIM a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and JESUS seeing their faith [faith in HIS ability to heal the man, because they believed HIM to be GOD in the flesh] said unto the sick of the palsy; [HE said] Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” JESUS knew the sick man was not only aware that he was a sinner, but also worried that being a sinner might prevent him from receiving his healing. Because of this, the sick man was ashamed to be in the presence of the MAN with all of this power, who was, in fact, GOD in the flesh.1 When JESUS said, “Be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee,” HIS words gave the sick man the faith to be healed by the power that was not in himself, but in JESUS.2
“And, behold, certain scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And JESUS knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts [to believe that JESUS is not GOD and therefore incapable to forgive sins, and to believe that to heal someone is evil]? For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the SON of MAN has power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith HE to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house. But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled, and glorified GOD, which had given such power unto men. And as JESUS passed forth from thence, HE saw a man, named Matthew [a sinner, equivalent to an IRS man], sitting at the receipt of custom: [the FATHER in Heaven, by the SPIRIT, told HIM to speak to him] and HE saith unto him, Follow ME. And he arose, and followed HIM” (Matthew 9:3-9).
Now, many sinners knew Matthew. Everyone paid taxes to him, so it was customary for them all to have lunch together. “And it came to pass, as JESUS sat at meat [with Matthew] in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with HIM and HIS disciples. [Sinners were not afraid to sit and eat with HIM because they knew many of HIS disciples, and as far as they knew, they were still sinners]. And when the Pharisees saw it [the Pharisees were the self-righteous hypocrites who never witnessed to sinners regarding life after death or the Kingdom of Heaven for those who would follow the SON of GOD. They never witnessed regarding blasphemy, the pit of Hell, or the Lake of Fire awaiting them for not witnessing to sinners about all these things.3 The Pharisees said to the disciples of JESUS], Why eateth your MASTER with publicans and sinners? But when JESUS heard that, HE said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:10-13).
JESUS did not come to even try to save those who are self-righteous, those who stupidly believe that they don’t need the SPIRIT of GOD in CHRIST living in them. Those individuals think like Cain, believing they will please GOD with produce rather than mercy,4 rather than having faith in the WORD of GOD, which is JESUS, and rather than having JESUS by the SPIRIT living in them. If we don’t care enough to have mercy on the sinner and preaching to them instead of “murdering the infidels,” we are self-righteous hypocrites. JESUS says, “I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Matthew 9:13). “JESUS saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of GOD before you” (Matthew 21:31b).
JESUS is calling you to repent of your sins!5 It doesn’t matter what sin you are guilty of. JESUS died for us all, and the blood HE shed for us on the cross of Calvary washes away the most filthy sins and drowns them all in the sea of His forgetfulness. He will never remember them against us again.6 But JESUS says after this happens, “Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon thee” (John 5:14b). The worse thing would be that there would be no more repentance.7
To be born again of the SPIRIT, say this prayer to the LORD now:
Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Diligently study the KJV Bible, and do what it says.13

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
