The Bible states that in the beginning of the human race, GOD created Adam, one body. Genesis 2:18 states, “And the LORD GOD said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” And verse 21-25 states, “And the LORD GOD caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD GOD had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh [ONE BODY]. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” And why should they have been ashamed? They were one flesh, ONE BODY!

“This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that GOD created man, in the likeness of GOD made HE him; Male and female created HE them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam [meaning ONE BODY], in the day when they were created” (Genesis 5:1-2).

GOD placed Adam in the Garden of Eden. There were two trees in the Garden of Eden, one good, and one evil (Genesis 2:9). “And the LORD GOD commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17).

More than anything, GOD wants to be believed. The greatest sin of all is to doubt GOD.1 The Bible talks much about Satan, the devil. The devil does everything in his power to distract you from serving GOD and to get you to doubt GOD.2 It is also written that Satan, the devil, deceiveth the whole world (Revelation 12:9).3 Satan does a good job of this doubting business. Just think—he has deceived the whole world. He sits on a telephone wire laughing and clapping his hands at the stupidity of humanity.

Genesis 3:4-5 states, “And the serpent [the devil] said unto the woman [Eve], Ye shall not surely die [he does the same thing to you]: For GOD doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” In other words, he means, don’t believe GOD. Believe in me or yourselves, believe the scientists, believe the government, and believe the media. Satan says you can believe in anybody—just don’t believe GOD!

However, GOD says you are saved by faith in what HE says, and by doubting what HE says, you are damned. JESUS said, “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16). Believeth what? Believeth what GOD says, not what Satan or anybody else says.

So GOD had to create another race of people. HE created a people to believe in HIM, a new creation who would not believe in Satan. HE had Satan put out of Heaven unto the earth.4 He sinned, he usurped the authority of GOD in Heaven (Revelation 12:9).5 GOD will have HIS way in the whirlwind (Nahum 1:3). To show HIS power, HE created a new race of people out of dirt, people who were former sinners, to make their stand before the god of this earth, who is the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4).6 This would give great glory to GOD and really puts Satan down. The human flesh which GOD made from the dirt of the ground makes a strong stand before this world’s insane maniacs, and says to them, “GOD said it, I believe it, and that settles it.” However, before this, Satan deceived one third of the angels in Heaven (Revelation 12:4, 9).7 He thought after doing this, it would be much easier to deceive the people in the world made out of dirt, and he did deceive the first two (Genesis 3:1-13).

Again, GOD will never let this discourage HIM. He will have HIS way. So HE created a new race of people. The first Adam failed GOD miserably, so GOD sent a second Adam into the world which was CHRIST HIMSELF (1 Corinthians 15:45-47). “In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD” (John 1:1). Everything was created by the WORD.8 So GOD created a new race of people that would believe HIM, the WORD. Adam’s bride came out of his body, and the second Adam’s bride came out of HIS (CHRIST’S) body. The second Adam is JESUS, the WORD of GOD (1 Corinthians 15:45-47).

Down through the ages, we can clearly see the two nations of people, the believers and the doubters. The first Adam, the flesh, is not regenerated, not born of the SPIRIT, and not SPIRITUAL (1 Corinthians 2:11-14). The second Adam, the second body, the bride of CHRIST, the temple of GOD, the church, is totally SPIRITUAL by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD.9

Romans 12:3-4 states, “For I say, through the power given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as GOD hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office.” The word “office” means a service done for another, and a duty as a part of one’s work. It is position of authority or trust, as in government.

The WORD of GOD shows us one sinner in the body is like having a cancer in the body. The whole body would be contaminated.10 So the new creation, the new Adam, must be completely holy. This is seen with the children of the new Israel when ten men from ten different tribes of the twelve tribes of Israel sinned by discouraging the whole population of Israel from entering into the Promised Land (Numbers 13:17-33). They caused the entire nation of Israel to doubt GOD, even after they had seen GOD destroy Egypt with ten plagues, open the Red Sea, and allowed them, the entire nation of Israel, to walk through on dry ground. After they reached the other side, GOD allowed the Red Sea to collapse on the entire Egyptian army, drowning them all (Exodus 14:21-30). In the wilderness, GOD provided water for around three million people and all of their cattle out of a rock (Numbers 20:8-11).11 HE fed them manna, angel’s food from Heaven that filled them all (Exodus 16:14-18), and still, they doubted that GOD would be able to destroy the giants and deliver them successfully into the Promised Land.

Their doubting angered GOD to the point to where HE made them stay in the wilderness for forty years (Numbers 14:22-35).12 The sin of those ten men doubting GOD caused the entire nation of old-timers to be cursed for forty years and die, with the exception of the younger people of the nation if Israel. These scriptures and many other scriptures prove that one sinner does much harm to the entire SPIRITUAL body of the second Adam, and that every sinner must be put out of the camp or all the nation will be cursed.

Ecclesiastes 9:18 states, “Wisdom (the fear of the LORD13) is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.” The entire body of Israel suffered forty years because ten men caused Israel to doubt. The whole body of young Israel including Moses, Caleb, Joshua, and all the innocent believers had seen and lived through the curse these ten men caused. So even the children, the entire body of young Israel feared GOD, except for one man who troubled Israel. His name was Achan. Achan troubled the entire purged nation of Israel and caused several members of the body of Israel to be killed (Joshua 7:5).

GOD commanded Joshua in Joshua 6:18-19: “And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.” Achan didn’t believe GOD. He, like Eve, believed GOD was a liar, and was sure that he wouldn’t be caught or cursed, so he took some of the accursed things and hid them in his tent (Joshua 7:1, 11, 19-22). GOD sees every move that we make, and HE knows every thought that we think. Nothing is hid from “the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do” (Hebrews 4:13). GOD showed Joshua who had done this evil deed, that it was indeed Achan.

Joshua said to Achan in Joshua 7:19, “My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD GOD of Israel, and make confession unto HIM; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.” Verse 20 states, “And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD GOD of Israel, and thus and thus have I done.” Verses 25-26 state, “And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of HIS anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.”

In the first four chapters of the book of Acts, we see the birth of the true church of GOD, the church that is filled with GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT. There is only one CHURCH, one body of CHRIST, and only one SPIRIT that means anything at all. These people were one body because they were all of and in one SPIRIT (Acts 2:1, 4:32). In chapter 5 of the book of Acts, Ananias and Sapphira lied to the HOLY SPIRIT, and GOD caused both of them to drop dead (Acts 5:1-10).

Satan wanted to trouble the entire body of CHRIST, the newly formed church of GOD, with these two, Ananias and Sapphira. They lied to the entire congregation, which was filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, saying that they, like everyone else, had donated everything they had, including all of the money that they had gained from their property, to the church. In truth, they held some of the money back. My assumption is that possibly because of the great persecution which had befallen the church, scattering the church’s members, these individuals began to believe they were leaders, that they might be put in the position of leadership, not followers any longer. All donations of money were to be laid at the Apostles’ feet, with nothing held back (Acts 4:34-37). If anything was held back, they were to say so. Instead, Ananias and Sapphira lied to the HOLY SPIRIT. At this time, the LORD knew all the people of the holy church were not fully knowledgeable as to how to handle this type of thing (members lying to the HOLY SPIRIT), so GOD took the matter into HIS own hands, causing both of them to drop dead. GOD wasn’t going to allow the devil to destroy the body of CHRIST with anything that is sin.

Romans 12:4 states, “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office.” Again, office means a service done for another, which means that we, as one body, are to assist or service one another in the HOLY SPIRIT, SPIRITUALLY, keeping our bodies in unity with the WORD of GOD so that we may all enter Heaven. We are not to hate our brother in the LORD because hating our brother in the LORD without a cause is the same as murder (1 John 3:15), and no murderer shall enter the kingdom of GOD (Revelation 21:8, 22:15). We are not to lie to our brother or sister in the LORD because by doing this, we lie to the HOLY SPIRIT. It is the same as Acts chapter 5. This is why the SPIRIT says, “A little leaven [sin] leavens the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9), meaning a little sin causes the whole body of CHRIST to be filled with sin. A little sin in the church troubles the entire church, troubles all of Israel. Romans 12:5 states, “So we, being many, are one body in CHRIST, and every one members one of another.”

Paul, talking to the body of CHRIST in 1 Corinthians 12, is not talking to unsaved people, people not in the one body of CHRIST. Paul states in verses 1-7, “Now concerning SPIRITUAL gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the SPIRIT of GOD calleth JESUS accursed: and that no man can say that JESUS is the LORD, but by the HOLY SPIRIT. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same SPIRIT. And there are differences of administrations, but the same LORD. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same GOD which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the SPIRIT is given to every man to profit withal.”

Revelation 1:5-6 states, “And from JESUS CHRIST, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the PRINCE of the kings of the earth. Unto HIM that loved us, and washed us from our sins in HIS own blood, And hath made us [THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE WHOLE NATION of] kings and priests unto GOD and HIS FATHER; to HIM be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

First Corinthians 12:12 states, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is CHRIST.” If one member of your body has cancer, does it trouble the rest of your body? Yes, it does! And if there is sin in the church, does it trouble the whole church? Yes, it does! Read the whole Bible, and you will see that it does trouble the whole body of CHRIST, the church, the bride of CHRIST, the New Jerusalem.

When there is persecution, many people believe they must become leaders, and they are not leaders. Repent and believe the KJV Bible by saying this prayer:

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
