SEEK GOD AND HE WILL “BE FOUND OF YOU,” BUT IF YOU FORSAKE HIM, HE WILL FORSAKE YOU

(2 CHRONICLES 15:1-2)

by Tony Alamo
aka Bernie Hoffman

“And the SPIRIT of GOD came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with HIM; and if ye seek HIM, HE will be found of you; but if ye forsake HIM, HE will forsake you.” (2 Chronicles 15:1-2)

The true GOD is not anybody’s fool. If you turn your back on HIM, HE will turn HIS back on you! If you are disobedient to HIM, you are a witch, and HE will allow no witch (disobedient person) in Heaven.1 Some people will put lawyers, paralegals, men, women, or children before GOD instead of trusting in CHRIST, but CHRIST JESUS says in Luke 14:26-27, “If any man come to ME, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be MY disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after ME, cannot be MY disciple.”2

The LORD JESUS does say to those who keep all of HIS commandments that HE will never leave them or forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).3 However, if you leave HIM or forsake HIM, you are the one that left HIM, and you are the one that forsook HIM, and you will lose everything!

When you study the whole Bible, it’s easy to see that the LORD has not changed HIS WORD, HIS policy, HIS covenant, HIS standard. HE gives HIMSELF to live in us, so HE may give us HIS strength to do what HE commands, and if we do what HE commands, HE will give us the desires of our hearts when HE knows we mean business with HIM. If you’re not going to trust the LORD’S ability and serve HIM, you don’t deserve any of HIS blessings, and you don’t deserve to be in the house of GOD, or the kingdom of Heaven. You really don’t deserve children either because you would only raise your children to believe that something in the world is more important than GOD, the LORD who created us, and is more important than your children and all the other souls in the world going to Heaven.

Second Chronicles 15:3-19 states, “Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true GOD, and without a teaching priest [Jewish, not at all Catholic], and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD GOD of Israel, and sought HIM, HE was found of them. And in those times, there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries [as it is today]. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for GOD did vex them with all adversity [as HE is doing today]. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak [in faith]: for your work shall be rewarded.

”And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his GOD was with him.

“So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. And they entered into a covenant [amidst all their vexations] to seek the LORD GOD of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD GOD of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought HIM with their whole desire; and HE was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about!!!

“And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol [if your children are your idols and you live a secular life, GOD will take your children away. They will be gone if you say, ‘The beast government is stronger than the LORD.’], and [Asa] stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days. And he brought into the house of GOD the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels. And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa” (2 Chronicles 15:3-19).

Let’s end all of today’s wars! Let us serve the LORD and be blessed. Trust HIM and be blessed! GOD promises blessings if we serve HIM and trust HIM, and we are cursed if we serve man and trust man instead of GOD. Again, GOD says, “Forsake ME and I will forsake you!” James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to GOD, and HE will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
JESUS said, Repent; mortify yourselves.4 “Thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick [thy church] out of his place, except thou repent” (Revelation 2:4-5). Repent by repeating this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
