Summary of Investigative Journal Radio Program with Greg Anthony on First Amendment Radio August 7, 2014

Greg begins by saying Tony Alamo is in prison since 2008 for 175 years on trumped-up charges of sex abuse, and how Tony, for the last 40 to 50 years, has been telling us the truth regarding the Vatican’s influence over our freedom of religion and its diabolical way of getting into our political system. He explains how Tony is reaching thousands and thousands of people around the world with this anti-Vatican story which needs to be told because there is probable cause evidence showing that what Tony says is true, and he’s being persecuted for it.

Greg mentions the 2008 raid in Arkansas, saying it was like a Waco-style raid on this ministry which he heard about from the mainstream media who seemed to know a lot about it. He thinks their intention was to close down this very successful ministry which had churches in a number of different states, as well as to go after Tony. The way they did it was to attack the children of this ministry. He relates what a blogger said about the raid: when state and federal law enforcement officials swooped into Tony Alamo Ministries, many, if not most, of the major news media were in Texarkana, Arkansas, watching it all unfold, but writing nothing about it until it had already begun. So they knew all about this. The raid had been originally scheduled for October, but this raid came down in September. On Friday, the day before the raid, someone in the US Attorney’s Office inadvertently sent an email about the raid to over 50 media outlets across the state. That email was sent several weeks before the raid was scheduled to happen. Greg believes it was set up to convict Tony before he could have a fair trial.

A blogger named Frank Lockwood said this: “With the cat out of the bag, law enforcement officials moved up their time schedule. Newspapers had to decide whether to go with the story in Saturday’s edition or wait a day or two. With children reportedly in the church, and with allegations of child abuse, every news organization in the state voluntarily refrained from writing about the raid until it had already begun.” They get the media all hyped up about this; nobody knows exactly what’s going on. It’s an injurious conviction as soon as this raid takes place in swat-like fashion. He described how the swat team came in with guns and rifles, scaring the hell out of them, when the kids were outside playing, trying to arrest Tony, and Tony wasn’t even there, but was in Los Angeles at the time. There were no indications that there were weapons or anything on the church grounds. It was a peaceful organization, and if they wanted to arrest Tony, they could have done it in a quiet fashion, but this had to be a media display, and this had to be a way of convicting him prior to having a fair trial.

Six children were placed in state custody that day. The next day, the story was out in all the mainstream media. A nation-wide bust, and Mr. Alamo was convicted already. This story was placed on Oprah Winfrey and on some of the biggest crime channels.

Greg states that from an attorney’s point of view, they don’t have much here, and what they have could have been tainted. This is a watershed case to show you what they can do to you if you decide to come against the Catholic Church and the Vatican. Greg points out how hypocritical the United States is, the double standard, allowing the Vatican churches to remain open after there is so much evidence about what happened to kids in schools in Canada, in Ireland, the torture and abuse all over the world, and we still allow this church to operate?! They have money and power and control of our government so they can get away with child abuse. If you have a voice as loud as Alamo’s, they can come after you with the same charges they’re guilty of and use the media, the FBI, law enforcement, and bribery, and by forcing people to bring false charges who later recanted. He mentions the civil case in March and the half-billion dollar judgment.

Greg describes Tony as 79 years old and blind in prison. Then he relays what Tony said from prison: For almost 50 years, they’ve tried to put me away. First, they accused us of being communists, they harassed us and jailed us and our members relentlessly to shut us down and stop my wife Susan and myself from preaching the truth about the Word of God. Then they wanted us to be Waco, and kept accusing us of being a dangerous cult and armed terrorists. Then I was accused of child abuse which charges were finally dropped by the Los Angeles District Attorney. Then it was threatening to kidnap a Federal judge. The jury found me not guilty. Then the IRS was used to create a false case of not paying taxes on income that never existed. My attorney, Jeff Dickstein, a tax protester, was put into a position of selling me out or going to prison himself. I was given a 6-year sentence, and with good time, was out in four years in 1998. The FBI continued investigating me with no let-up. Finally, in 2008, they got a few false witnesses who had left the church several years earlier to agree to cooperate with them. The offer of restitution and money in the civil case was very enticing. The civil case used the same five witnesses and a sixth, also an ex-member that was used in the criminal trial, to bolster the case. But this time around in the civil suit, she wanted to get a money award so she created a new accusation that she was being groomed to be a wife but escaped first. The seventh was in the church until June, 2010, still knowing I was innocent and supporting me after the trial. Then she left in June. By August, she had joined the civil suit for money. The civil suit was in federal court, but close to trial, the judge finally addressed the motions for summary judgment that had been filed, and all the federal charges were dropped. So the case was closed and then refiled in Arkansas state court. The judge allowed all the charges she threw out to be reinstated in the state court. We didn’t have the money to fight the case all over again, so we lost by default.

Greg stated they attacked Tony and the church where it hurts most: the children. They searched every one of his ministries for the other children who weren’t taken in the first raid. He describes the first raid with the hundred police officers, swat team, and how they took six girls off the swings. Not one of the girls was proven to have anything improper to do with Tony. They hauled them away in a wagon as the girls sang gospel songs. He described the forensic interviews conducted the next day with the girls, how they came up with nothing, and how one was a sister of an adult who lived there, but they still refused to give her back to her parents. The DHS kept the six girls, even though they didn’t find anything wrong, and the judge issued a pick-up order for every child in the church at every location in the US. The congregation fled with their kids just to escape—a great way to break things up. He mentions how the two vans of kids were stopped on the freeway. They grabbed the babies and children and never gave them back. Greg said that was kidnapping. He reiterates that they never found any harm done to any of the children, and nothing was found against Tony that they could use on his case, as they hoped. They knew it was the way to demolish the entire ministry. Greg then asks if this is a Gestapo country. Greg says this was done to shut this ministry down, to stop Tony from speaking against the Vatican, and to get all of Tony’s property and money. Greg asks, “Why don’t they take all the money from the Vatican for all they’ve done?” There was a court case regarding this and they said, “The Vatican doesn’t do business in America.” They tried to demolish the ministry by scattering the people who typeset, printed, and distributed the literature, and who kept the ministry going to cities throughout the US every week, distributing the literature and mailing it out. Greg described the literature as being what he talks about on his show, the Vatican’s influence over our freedom of religion and over our government, and convincing everybody into believing that they are the one true church. If there ever was a cult, it’s the Vatican! Greg stated that the parents had the outrageous choice of leaving the ministry or losing their children, and losing their parental rights. Devastation of both the children and parents is putting it mildly. Then the children were fully brainwashed to become hostile against their own parents, and hate them and the church they once loved.

The question Tony asks from his prison cell is this: “When there is overwhelming proof of child abuse in the Catholic cult, why are children not stopped from going to their schools, their churches, their orphanages, convents, etc.? Why are Catholic parents who send their children back into this child-abusing cult daily not facing termination of their parental rights and their children being taken?

Greg relayed a story about how his mother died of leukemia when his prematurely born little brother was 6 months old and his dad had a multitude of bills to pay. There was a Catholic orphanage not far from where he lived where they brought all these children.

A monsignor came to his house, but instead of offering help to Greg’s dad, he wanted to take the children from his dad and put them in a Catholic orphanage. His dad grabbed the monsignor and threw him up against the wall, cussed him out, and kicked him down the stairs. Greg said, “That’s how I feel about the Vatican. Kick them in the ass and get them out of your house. That’s what my dad did, and we grew up very healthy and happy, and my brother’s a very successful businessman right now.” His dad vowed never to set foot in a Catholic church again, which he never did. And he never sent his brother to a Catholic school. His dad asked Greg to allow him to pull him out of the Catholic school, but Greg begged him to let him stay there because his friends were there and he had just lost his mother.

In the second half, Greg mentions the prisons Tony has been in and how they review all communications and how the visits are conducted; there is nothing private. The government paid the Cult Awareness Network over $5,000.00 for each of the three witnesses against Tony for an intense two-week deprogramming at the remote location called Wellspring Retreat. The government paid for round trips for them and paid $1,500.00 for the child of one of the witnesses to be supervised while the mother was in counseling. They paid the witnesses under the guise of paying the bills they would not be able to work to pay for while there, such as car insurance, etc. The former head at Wellspring, Paul Martin, personally worked on these witnesses. It was done in December of 2008, and right after this Mr. Martin came down with an illness, was found to have leukemia and he died several months later.

In the past, testimony of those deprogrammed at Wellspring was thrown out of court. But if anyone from the defense even speaks to a witness, he can be charged with tampering with a witness. Yet the government can ship off their witnesses to this place to deprogram them. People maybe go in neutral and come out very hostile. It’s an important point in this case.

He said Dorothy Curry stated that Unsolved Mysteries lied, and that Tony Alamo didn’t abuse her little girl. This was in 1991 when they were trying to do the same thing to Tony, unsuccessfully. Greg read some of what Dorothy said in the literature where she refutes the accusation by Jim Griffin that Tony abused Carissa.

Greg read from an article in the Protestant Mission Newsletter of British Columbia how the brothers from the ministry went to Canada and distributed Gospel literature when Pope John Paul II was scheduled to visit there. The day the Pope arrived, the brothers were arrested. No charges were laid, no reasons given, but they were kept in jail until the day the Pope left Canada when they were released without explanation or apology. Greg goes on to say that the author of the article says he knows that the distribution of literature exposing Roman Catholicism is the real reason Tony Alamo is in jail once again. The authorities are trying to set up false witnesses. If the authorities are so concerned about the children being physically and sexually abused, how come they don’t shut down every Roman Catholic institution since it’s a proven fact that children by the thousands (Greg adds by the hundred thousands, millions over the years) have been sexually and physically molested, tormented, and even put to death by the celibate priests? He asks, “How often do you hear of a priest who has been charged by one of their victims of sexual rape and abuse, expecting justice, only to find that this pervert has been moved to another monastery or another church secretly so he can carry on with the abuse in another place? Where’s the justice? How come the Catholic parents who already know about all the children being molested by the priests just keep on sending their children to these sexually perverted pedophiles? Where is their natural affection? Is that not neglect? They know and can read about pedophilia in the newspapers every day. Why are the authorities not concerned about this huge ring of sexual abuse of children? There is a double standard, one for Rome, and one for the rest of the world as in the Tony Alamo story.”

Greg reads something written by a man named Shane in 2009 who calls the DHS the department of human suffering. He said the DHS stole 35 children, jailed Tony Alamo, and by doing so, is effectively putting the Bible on trial. The Alamo ministry is not a cult or sect, but a peaceful Bible-believing Christian community active in preaching the Bible all over the world. The pathetic reason the judge gave for taking these children from their parents is that they had not been vaccinated and had not been registered with the government as home-tutored. Greg then mentions that they could put the Ebola virus in a vaccine, so stay away from them and flu vaccines. He says they have been shutting down some of these anti-vaccination websites. Shane says that the real truth behind these kidnappings is that the Alamo ministries preach “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5).

Greg says the only reason they got Tony is because he is very successful. His ministry is very, very popular, and he got his message out to thousands and hundreds of thousands of people. If he was sitting in his home talking to 20 people, they would never have bothered with him, but they don’t want their secret out in the open, and that is why this has happened to him. The only solution is not to believe what you hear on the mainstream media on this story because they didn’t tell you about the coercion; they didn’t tell you about a lot of stuff. They had him convicted and only mentioned this story from a prosecutorial point of view, and anybody who listened to it would walk away saying, “He must be guilty.” That’s how the government, the media, and the Vatican work together.
