BLOOD

by Tony Alamo

"Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me ... until He plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness. Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the Lord thy God?"1

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."2

As the Bible states, everyone must subject themselves unto the will of God in this life, making everything within their mortal soul to serve Him that their main objective, Heaven, will be attained.

In the world where we presently live, the air is thick with the fiery darts of Satan. These darts are all aimed by Satan himself at our immortal souls to interrupt, to hinder, and especially to stop our attainment of the kingdom of Heaven.

We are commanded to seek God for a spiritual, protective covering around and about our soul, that we may escape Hell and attain Heaven. This protective covering is called "the whole armour of God."3 Without God’s shield, it is impossible to live an overcoming life and eventually receive God’s gifts. The "shield of faith"4 is the grace of all graces (the power of all powers) because it is the necessary factor for salvation, and it covers every area of defense for the soul from the tempting assaults upon it. Satan is continuously shooting fiery darts to bring horror and terror into the conscience of true saints by the use of false accusations. The shield of faith catches the shock of every dart which preserves the Christian’s salvation. The Psalmist David stated, "I had fainted, unless I had believed."5 David states in the verse before that, "false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty."6 Faith was David’s wall of defense, his shield against the false accusations from the fiery darts shot from those, the false witnesses, that hated him. The Apostle Paul stated, "Above all, taking the shield of faith."7 This shield is the only way to achieve salvation and preserve it by quenching "all the fiery darts of the wicked."8

We know that we have faith when we resist temptation. If you are unable to resist temptation, you don’t possess that piece of armour which Paul states is "above all" other pieces of this covering.

The devil has faith, but not the type of faith that can justify him before the Lord. "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."9 Neither will temporary faith justify anyone before the Lord. Fiery darts are never quenched by temporary faith, a faith that first runs hot, then cold. True, saving faith, faith that will sustain salvation until the day of judgment, is a constant faith that grows and overcomes every obstacle daily. "Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world"10 because the overcomers have made faith a growing, multiplying, daily, moment by moment habit, until they grow "in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ."11 It is not temporary, but constantly steady and enduring. "And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."12

The Apostle John reared a church full of Christians who achieved this stature by constant, daily, moment by moment, multiplying faith. Through the Holy Spirit, the apostle commended them by saying, dearly beloved "Ye have overcome the wicked one."13

We may understand the Word of God and agree with it mentally. This is not faith. God and the world will only believe our faith when we are doing the works commanded by God. The Apostle James stated, "Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."14

To agree with the Word and not do it is simply an act of acknowledging the Word, which reprobates and devils can do. However, the faith that will gain one's entry into the kingdom of Heaven is the faith that grows constantly into Christ’s fullness.

God must be believed in with "all the heart."15 The manifestation, the substance of faith is the doing of God’s work, according to the Word, the will of God.16 The root of the initiative necessary to perform the works of God is the "fear of the Lord,"17 which is "the beginning of wisdom"18 and "the beginning of knowledge."19 The fear of the Lord must be seated in the understanding and the will of the soul. This spark from our infinite Creator makes the difference between a person who is merely religious but lost, and one who is truly BORN AGAIN OF THE SPIRIT, saved, the difference between a mannequin and a real, LIVING, BREATHING CHILD OF GOD.

The Word of God states we must believe with all the heart.20 That is, we must believe that Christ came into the world to be the one and only sacrificial offering for our former sins. He was born to die21 and shed His blood for the cleansing away of our former sins.22 Without this, all the work that He had done would have been labor undone. We must have faith that there is no redemption, no salvation, no being born again without Christ’s blood, which was shed at His crucifixion.23

Ephesians 1:7 states, "In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace [His Power]." All who are saved have been purchased with God’s own blood.24 There would be no church of God without Christ’s own blood. The entire church of God, the bride of Christ, was and continues to be taken out of the dying Saviour’s bleeding side as Eve, the bride of Adam, was taken from his side.25

There is no other salvation for the entire human race but through the blood of Christ.26 "The life [eternal life] of the flesh is in the blood [the soul cleansing blood of Christ]."27 We must place our faith in the bleeding Christ, "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation" for us, "through faith in His blood."28 But our faith must rest on Christ’s crucifixion and His blood for both our pardon from all former sin and for eternal life.

The powerful fact of the crucifixion and the blood of Christ is for us God’s merciful love. When we truly accept, by faith, this powerful act of God’s love and mercy for us, it will crucify all of our own thoughts, our sinful, fleshly ways, our doubts, and all of our satanic fears. It will make us rise triumphantly, as He did, over every obstacle, including death, Hell, and the grave.

We were created to live in harmony with God. This can only be achieved by accepting Christ. Our voice was created by God to pray to Him, to sing praises unto Him, and to give Him glory by our witness of Him to others. Our hearts were created by God to respond to His every Word, to His voice alone. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."29 "And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."30

Our souls were created by the Almighty God and His Son Christ Jesus for Him to live in our body, His temple,31 that we may be channels through which His suffering and love may continue to flow till His return. 32

Those of us who accept Him by our shield of faith may, without interruption, allow His Words to flow through us into this God-starved world, that those souls who are hungry and thirsty may eat and drink the power of His Word, which is His body and His blood,33 which created and keeps our souls and all the galaxies of the universe.34

Man’s conscience will not allow him to live a happy, abundant life with the knowledge from God’s Word that sin is on his soul. Nor can the heart be secure, confident, and happy in its own self conceit when it knows that God’s law is contrary to him.35 His vain confidence in himself must die. Confidence in God must replace it, in order for him to have peace and happiness with God.36

We must personally become acquainted with Christ. We must "know Him."37 If we do not, Christ will say on the final day of judgment, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." 38

We must believe as the Apostle Paul who said, "I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."39

God’s Word, Christ,40 has a very special, spiritual technique of His own. God’s technique for true salvation is simply this: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."41 "If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."42 "He that believeth on Him [Christ] is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already." 43

In Isaiah 27:5, Christ is called God’s strength. "Or let him [you] take hold of my strength, that he [you] may make peace with me; and he [you] shall make peace with me." Make peace with God. Receive His strength and His Life, which is Christ, right now by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

Now that you are saved and forgiven of your sins, raise your hands and praise the Lord. "Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth."44

Christ now lives in you through the Holy Spirit.45 There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of God in you. God the Father lives now in you also. The more of the divine nature of God that lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that so easily have moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. This is caused by more man in us than God in us. Mankind has become so wicked that if Satan and his impish army were abolished, we would be our own devil.

Now that you are saved, pray for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Prayerfully study the Word and pray always for more of the divine nature.46 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and to receive more of God’s holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness no man shall see God.47

Now that you are saved it is a commandment to be fully submerged, baptized in water in the name of the Father and in the name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Spirit.48 Follow all of God’s commands and live.49

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
