EATING AND DRINKING LIFE

On the night in which the LORD JESUS was later arrested, HE and HIS disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane. JESUS prayed to GOD HIS FATHER there. “And HE went a little farther, and fell on HIS face, and prayed, saying, O MY FATHER, if it be possible, let this cup pass from ME: nevertheless not as I will, but as THOU wilt. And HE cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with ME one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. HE went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O MY FATHER, if this cup may not pass away from ME, except I drink it, THY will be done” (Matthew 26:39-42).

Soon Judas, leading a huge armed crowd, arrived to arrest JESUS. After Judas betrayed HIM with a kiss, they laid hands on JESUS to take HIM.1 “Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. Then said JESUS unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which MY FATHER hath given ME, shall I not drink it?” (John 18:10-11).

What JESUS is saying here is, that which MY FATHER has told ME to do, shall I not do it? Shall I not be murdered as an atonement for the sins of the world? Shall I not die on the cross as an atonement for the sins that everyone has committed so that they will know MY forgiveness and love for them, and do GOD’S will, and have everlasting life in Heaven with ME?2 As I must drink the cup that MY FATHER has given unto ME, and do what HE has commanded ME to do, so say I unto you, if you eat MY flesh and drink MY blood, which means living the kind of life I lived, you shall be MY disciples, and you will never die, but will have eternal life.3

During HIS ministry on earth, JESUS taught throughout Israel. Large crowds followed HIM because they witnessed the miraculous healings that HE did. While on a mountain, HE saw multitudes coming to HIM. There were about five thousand men plus many women and children. They were all fed after JESUS gave thanks to GOD who miraculously multiplied the five barley loaves and two small fish (John 6:2-13).

The following day, JESUS said to the multitude, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, You seek ME, not because you saw the miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the SON of man shall give unto you [the SON of man will show you the work that you must do to have everlasting life]: for HIM hath GOD the FATHER sealed [has put HIS seal of approval upon]” (John 6:26-27).

John 6:28-29 states, “Then said they unto HIM, What shall we do, that we might work the works of GOD? JESUS answered and said unto them, This is the work of GOD, that you BELIEVE on HIM whom HE hath sent.” We must believe everything JESUS, the WORD of GOD, says and tells us to do.4 We are to spread the good news of the gospel to the whole world and bring souls to salvation.5 We are to walk as HE did and heal the sick and cast out demons from those oppressed by the devil.6 We are to raise the dead and even do greater works than JESUS did.7

When JESUS gives us the cup to drink, then we are to drink it, if we want to obtain eternal life in Heaven. This is what drinking HIS blood means, and this is what eating HIS flesh means, to live life as HE did, to do what HE has done, which is to obey HIS FATHER in all things.8 After all, if we are saved, born again of HIS SPIRIT, we are one with HIM.9 We are HIS body!

After making JESUS our LORD, we need to receive the promise of the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT.10 The LORD will help us to renew our minds, die out to our old sinful ways and desires, and follow HIM.11 JESUS said, “If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow ME” (Luke 9:23).

The book of James teaches, “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation” (James 3:1). This is because as overseers, we will be held to a higher standard of judgment. Just do the work of GOD. We are one body in CHRIST and coworkers with HIM. “For the grace [power] of GOD that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great GOD and our SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST; Who gave HIMSELF for us, that HE might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto HIMSELF a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:11-14).

“Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, MASTER, we would see a sign from THEE. But HE answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the SON of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here” (Matthew 12:38-41).

After JESUS had shown them all of the many miracles that HE had done for over three years, they still said to HIM, What sign do YOU show us that we may see and believe YOU? What kind of work do YOU do? (John 6:30) “Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, HE gave them bread from Heaven to eat. Then JESUS said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from Heaven; but MY FATHER giveth you the true bread from Heaven” (John 6:31-32).

“For the bread of GOD is HE which cometh down from Heaven, and giveth life unto the world. [What JESUS is saying here is that the bread of GOD is JESUS, who came down from Heaven and gives supernatural power, authority, the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT, many promises and blessings, as well as life eternal in Heaven. This is for those who believe, repent, make JESUS their LORD, and continue living HIS life as their lives.] Then said they unto HIM, LORD, evermore give us this bread. And JESUS said unto them, I am the bread of life [JESUS is the WORDS of life that are to be believed, obeyed]: he that cometh to ME [for life eternal] shall never hunger; and he that believeth on ME shall never thirst” (John 6:33-35).

JESUS is saying that if you believe and do everything HE says to do, it is the same as being in HIM, drinking the cup which HE gives you and eating HIS flesh, the bread of life.

For instance, does JESUS, GOD in the flesh, command you to be a homosexual?12 No! Does JESUS tell you to murder, to abort babies?13No! Does JESUS tell you to commit adultery?14 No! Does JESUS tell you to betray your brother or sister in the LORD?15 No! Does JESUS tell you to lie or steal?16 No! Does JESUS tell you to use population control? No! However, JESUS does tell you to be fruitful and multiply, doesn’t HE?17 Does JESUS who is GOD allow you to commit fornication,18 or to follow the secular government when it contradicts HIS WORD?19 No! Does JESUS, the SON of GOD who came into the world in the flesh, tell you to blow up sinners? No! HE tells you to preach the gospel to them. Does HE tell you to follow the Antichrist government, which is using the United States armed forces as a hammer to smash all the remaining governments who have not yet submitted to be under control of the one-world government of the beast?20 No!

JESUS said, “But I [say] unto you, That ye also have seen ME [you’ve seen MY life, heard MY WORDS, MY commandments], and believe not. All that the FATHER giveth ME shall come to ME [shall gladly keep MY commandments for their own welfare]; and him that cometh to ME I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from Heaven, not to do MINE own will, but the will of HIM that sent ME. And this is the FATHER’S will which hath sent ME, that of all which HE hath given ME I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of HIM that sent ME, that every one which seeth the SON, and believeth on HIM, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day” (John 6:36-40).

“Then JESUS said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the SON of man, and drink HIS blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For MY flesh is meat indeed, and MY blood is drink indeed. He that eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, dwelleth in ME, and I in him” (John 6:53-56).

Again, when Peter cut off the ear of the High Priest’s servant, “JESUS [said] unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which MY FATHER hath given ME, shall I not drink it?” (John 18:11). JESUS despised the shame of the cross and prayed to the FATHER that this cup would pass from HIM (Hebrews 12:2). But HE said, “FATHER, if THOU be willing, remove this cup from ME: nevertheless not MY will, but THINE, be done” (Luke 22:42).

The spirits of Moses and Elijah came to JESUS to encourage HIM to go through with the extreme whippings and abuse and the crucifixion (Matthew 17:1-3).21 JESUS would have gone through the crucifixion anyway, but if HE would not have, no one in the world would have received forgiveness for their sins and become restored children of GOD.22

JESUS saved everyone who would be saved.23 The faithful believers in the future coming of JESUS, prophesied of in the Old and New Testament, who all drank the cups that they were given to drink, are some of the ones whom JESUS saved. If it were not for the faithfulness of JESUS, all the righteous and faithful saints would not be saved.

Time is short before the return of the LORD JESUS. Now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). It’s time to surrender completely to GOD. GOD has given us all the life of JESUS to drink and the life of JESUS to eat. Will you eat and drink JESUS? Will you do what HE says? If so, then begin right now by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
