THE EVIL SPIRIT POSSESSED SAUL BECAUSE HE LET HIM IN WHEN HE DISOBEYED GOD

by Tony Alamo

“And the LORD said unto Samuel [the prophet], How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill your horn with oil, and go, I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided ME a king among his sons. And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD. And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew you what you shall do: and you shalt anoint unto ME him whom I name unto you.

“And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Do you come peaceably? And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice. And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before HIM. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:1-7).

“Again, Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD has not chosen these. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are these all your children? And he said, There remains the youngest, and, behold, he keeps the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the SPIRIT of the LORD came upon David from that day forward” (1 Samuel 16:10-13).

Time passed and Saul, the king, was possessed with an evil spirit because he let him in when he disobeyed GOD. So Saul commanded his servants to find a man who could play skillfully on the harp, so that his demon would temporarily depart from him. A servant of Saul suggested David, a shepherd boy.1 The servant told Saul, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters [not like anyone in today’s administration], and a comely person, and the LORD is with him” (1 Samuel 16:18).

So Saul sent for David, “And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he [Saul] loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight” (1 Samuel 16:21-22). When David played the harp, the evil spirit would temporarily depart from Saul.2

When the President of the U.S. is perplexed at what to do insofar as showing us pictures of Bin Laden both because he is afraid the public won’t be able to bear it, but also because of the question as to whether or not a murderer of thousands of people should have a fair trial, let’s look at what GOD’S favorite prophet decided to do. Let’s go to GOD to decide for us what to do. Agag had killed many mother’s sons. GOD told Saul to kill him; he didn’t.3 Samuel told Saul, “Bring you hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past. And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal” (1 Samuel 15:32-33).

David killed Goliath, who was the champion of the Philistines, in front of the mocking Philistines. Then, in their sight, he cut Goliath’s head off and brought it to Saul while everyone cheered and while the Philistines all fled.4 Well, what if the Philistines got mad? No one cared! No one was afraid. When we dropped the bomb on Japan, they surrendered. No one respects fraidy cats! Let these terrorists know that we will defend ourselves against them.

Also, they will soon find out that there are no virgins waiting for them in Heaven.5 They will be in the Lake of Fire, where GOD says they will be.6

“And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with you: for you [as the people of the world today] have rejected the WORD of the LORD, and the LORD has rejected you from being king over Israel. And as Samuel turned, about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. And Samuel said unto him, The LORD has rent the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbour of yours, that is better than you. And also the STRENGTH of ISRAEL [GOD] will not lie or repent: for HE is not a man, that HE should repent” (1 Samuel 15:26-29).

When GOD says HE hates homosexuality,7 murder,8 which you earthlings call abortion, murderous suicide bombers, liars,9 adulterers,10 fornicators,11 the actual teaching of devious sex practices in the public school system, utter blasphemy,12 the millions breaking every LAW of GOD, the government’s kidnapping of Christian parent’s children and putting them in public schools, and those who attack the WORD of GOD, GOD, and Christians, GOD means it and will avenge for this. GOD is not a man that HE should lie or repent.13 When HE says all these and more shall spend eternity in Hell and the Lake of Fire, BELIEVE IT!14 No liar or drunkard shall enter Heaven,15 nor will all of the above-mentioned. “The fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone” (Revelation 21:8). The first commandment is “Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength” (Mark 12:30).16 It takes some people time to be able to do this, and there isn’t too much time left. If you disobey GOD, you’re letting the evil spirit, the devil, into your soul. So why don’t you start now by saying this prayer?

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow JESUS for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of CHRIST.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of CHRIST. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for GOD in CHRIST on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the WORD of GOD, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the WORD says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to GOD’S WORD, HIS order, and HIS authority in and by you.

Praise the LORD. May GOD bless and reward you abundantly.

Yours in the wonderful name of JESUS,
Pastor Tony Alamo
