FILLED WITH
TRUTH

by Tony Alamo

“But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light” (Ephesians 5:13). John 1:4 says, “In Him [the light] was life [eternal life]; and the life was the light of men.”

We are living in a world of darkness.1 John 1:5 reproves us by saying, “And the light [Christ] shineth in darkness; and the darkness [the people of this dark world] comprehended it [Christ] not.” Jesus says, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46). Jesus said also, “While ye have light, believe in the light [that is, while ye have Me, believe in Me], that ye may be the children of light” (John 12:36).

Paul (by the holy, life-giving Spirit, the light of the world, which again is Christ) reproves us in this warning: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit [colleges, universities, and other worldly schools], after the tradition of men [lost men], after the rudiments of the world [this darkened world of those who are blind], and not after Christ [the light of the world]. For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead [the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit] bodily [in one body; and we who are saved are members of that one body, the church2]. And ye [all of us, we who are saved] are complete in Him [Christ], which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ” (Colossians 2:8-11).

Christ became the Holy Spirit, the quickening or life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45, 47), after His ascension into Heaven, which made it possible for Him to dwell in everyone who wants to escape Hell and live forever in Heaven with Him, with God, and with all those who gave up the world of darkness to live in the light (Christ). To be “Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins [because sin separates us from life eternal,3 which is Jesus: “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)] and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened [brought into spiritual life by His life-giving Spirit] together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses” (Colossians 2:12-13).

When we are filled with the Spirit, this means we are filled with life, Christ, and you can’t get any more full than filled (Ephesians 5:18). “And ye are complete [full, filled, stuffed, packed to the brim] in Him” (Colossians 2:10).

Everyone shall, when we die, go into eternity, and we all will see Him and come to the full realization that He has been seeing us all the years we have been alive.4 How embarrassing to go before Him empty or half full with His Spirit, unclothed, unfit for eternity!5 The Spirit, which also is Christ, the other Comforter,6 makes the indwelling of Christ a reality only for those of us who believe.

Are you a believer? Do you see the Light, the Way, the Truth, and the Life? The Light of the world? Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6). John 1:17 says, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” Christ came with salvation from condemnation of the law, if we continue in the sinless life of Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.7

God’s operation, His formula, is so simple: “For God so loved the world [His creation], that He gave His only begotten Son [the Way, the Word, the Light, the Truth, the Life], that whosoever believeth in Him [the entire Word of God, not the new, modern versions that are leading people astray] should not perish, but have everlasting life… He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already [The whole world is already condemned; the only escape from condemnation is to believe in the Word of God and do what it, He, tells you.8], because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God [who is the Word of God (John 1:1)]. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light [Jesus], lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God” (John 3:16, 18-21).

If you do the truth, you will come to the light, you will come to Christ through this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow Jesus for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God in Christ on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the Word says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.

Yours in the wonderful name of Jesus,
Pastor Tony Alamo
