FOLLOW THE ARK

“Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of GOD, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of HOSTS that dwelleth between the cherubim. And they set the ark of GOD upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of GOD: and Ahio went before the ark. And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals. And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of GOD, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and GOD smote him there for his error [his sin, his disobedience]; and there he died by the ark of GOD. And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day” (2 Samuel 6:1-8).
Uzzah was killed because none of them, including David, had taken the time to thoroughly and diligently search the scriptures to discover the instructions given by GOD for the ark to be built and carried, and the names of the only ones allowed to carry the ark. The ark was never to be moved on a cart, and only Levites of the priesthood were allowed to carry it. There were two golden rings on each side of the ark. Staves were to be put through the two rings on each side, and it was to be carried by the priests by placing the staves on their shoulders.1 No one, other than specified priests, was to touch the ark, unless they wanted to die.
This passage in the Old Testament of the Bible, and the many other scriptures in the Old and New Testaments, show the judgment of GOD for not following HIS commands—such as the passage regarding the married couple, Ananias and his wife Sapphira, who lied to the HOLY SPIRIT. The book of Acts explains that every person in the body of believers in Jesus sold what they had, tithed money to the church, and had no lack of anything they needed (Acts 2:44-47, 4:32-35). However, Ananias and Sapphira kept back some of the money from the sale of their possession in case they ever decided to leave (which showed they had a tremendous amount of doubt). They lied to the HOLY SPIRIT who was living in the apostles. After lying about the amount of the proceeds, both Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead and were buried (Acts 5:1-10). “And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things” (Acts 5:11).
So, after Uzzah was killed by GOD, Second Samuel 6:8 says that David was displeased with GOD!! Big deal! GOD lays down the law, and if you break the commandments, you will pay a big price.2
What can anyone do against GOD? After having been cursed by God, King Nebuchadnezzar was made to graze with the cattle and eat grass for a long season (seven years). This happened because he began believing he was GOD (Daniel chapter 4). GOD not only knows how to kill people and how to make them live, HE knows how to humble them.3 GOD said to Nebuchadnezzar (the king of Babylon), “And thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the MOST HIGH ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever HE will” (Daniel 4:32). The same hour this was pronounced upon this most powerful king on earth (and this is history), “He was driven from men, and did eat grass [for seven years] as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws” (Daniel 4:33).
Then, after he was delivered by GOD from that terrible curse, this great king gave his wonderful testimony. He said, “I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto Heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the MOST HIGH, and I praised and honored HIM that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and HIS kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and HE doeth according to HIS will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay HIS hand, or say unto HIM, WHAT DOEST THOU? At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the KING of Heaven, all whose works are truth, and HIS ways judgment: and those that walk in pride HE is able to abase” (Daniel 4:34-37).
Now, back to the sixth chapter of Second Samuel, verse 9: “And David was afraid of the LORD that day [which is very good because ‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge’ and ‘the beginning of wisdom’ (Proverbs 1:7, 9:10)], and [David] said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?” Well, read the instructions and you will know how. Don’t try to do anything your own way, but seek the LORD.4
David, Ananias, Sapphira, Nebuchadnezzar, and every single one of us, including whoever you are that reads this message, must keep GOD’S commandments to live a successful life.5 Moses told Israel that GOD “Humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that HE might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word [every commandment] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live” (Deuteronomy 8:3).
“Your heart shall live that seek[s] GOD” (Psalm 69:32). If the people would have sought the LORD, Uzzah would have lived, and David would not have been displeased with GOD for HIS doing what HE said HE would do. Sinners will be displeased when they are in the Lake of Fire forever and ever, but what good will it do them? No one can get out of the eternal liquid Lake of Fire, and none can stay HIS hand.6 No person can say to HIM, “What doest thou?”7 They will know what HE is doing when they are writhing in pain and screaming their heads off. If it were only for a few minutes, or hours, or days, it would be bad enough, but it is for forever. It never will end, and they will experience torment forever. The world government is powered by the great red dragon, the spirit of the devil,8 and GOD will fry him, his evil angels, and all who follow them, all who don’t care to read how to please GOD.9
So, David feared GOD. Again, it is good for him that he did. David asked how the ark of the LORD would be able to come home. Well, let’s find out. Exodus 25:12 states, “And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.” (The rings were already there on the ark. They must have thought they were only decorations). “And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne [or carried] with them. The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof” (Exodus 25:13-17). All these items were already on the ark, but they were not to transport the ark on a cart.
There were also two cherubim of gold, one on one end and one on the other. The ark is symbolic of our hearts of gold (which are now pure from sin by the blood of JESUS, with all the dross washed away by the cleansing water of the WORD) with the mercy seat of the LORD and the guardian angels on both ends.10 The two tables of the moral law were in the ark.11
Now, if we are saved, we have JESUS, and HIS power is given to us, enabling us to fulfill the law. But, to have this, you must be born again.12
GOD said, “And I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel” (Exodus 25:22). Later, HE gave the instructions as to who was to carry the ark.
After the death of Moses, GOD chose Joshua to bring HIS people into the promised land. Then, in the book of Joshua, chapter 3, verse 3, the people were told: “And they [the officers] commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD [the very covenant of the LORD] your GOD, and THE PRIESTS THE LEVITES BEARING IT [NOT UZZAH, NOT DAVID, NOT YOU, NOT ME, NO ONE ELSE BUT THE PRIESTS, THE LEVITES], then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.”
GOD will not care if all the world is displeased when HE burns the heavens and the earth up with fire, sending all the unrepentant sinners to the Lake of Fire.13 GOD made the rules, and we must keep them, or else!! “When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your GOD, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it [or wind up like Uzzah, Ananias, Sapphira, Saul, Dathan, Abiram, Judas Iscariot, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the whole drowned world,14 all of whom will be burned forever with Satan, his angels, and all those who are in today’s world who pay no attention to the LORD15].” Those who believe the false prophets, the one-world beast government, the wicked Roman law of Satan, the secular media, lawyers, or anyone except GOD the FATHER, CHRIST, and the HOLY SPIRIT, the WORD of GOD, will burn forever in the Lake of Fire. JESUS said to be zealous about it, or HE will spit you out of HIS mouth (Revelation 3:15-19).
Follow your heart, which is filled with the SPIRIT [the breath (Genesis 2:7)] of GOD.16 Say this prayer to GOD! Why? Because you must be born again of the SPIRIT of GOD if you want to escape Hell and make it to Heaven for eternity (John 3:3-8). GOD says so!
Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
