GOD IN YOU

The words of JESUS are for all mankind. Can you believe HE would say to us in these last days in which we are living, “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in GOD, believe also in ME” (John 14:1)? JESUS is telling us to believe in HIM as much as we are supposed to believe in GOD. John 1:1 says that JESUS is GOD, the WORD of GOD, and verse 14 says that HE became flesh.1 In other words, HE became a man. The Bible tells us that GOD is in JESUS and JESUS is in GOD by the HOLY SPIRIT.2 GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT are one GOD, and they want us to be one with THEM.3

JESUS explains that GOD lives in many mansions, many bodies.  In John 14:2 HE states, “In MY FATHER’S house [where GOD lives] are many mansions [temples, or human bodies, believers. These are only the bodies, temples, or mansions that do HIS will and keep HIS commandments. In other words, GOD, JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT, will live in us if we keep HIS commandments, if we do GOD’S will4]. If it were not so, I would have told you.”

Then JESUS says, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2). JESUS went away to prepare a place for all who would follow HIM. HE also said that HE would become the HOLY SPIRIT, the COMFORTER.5 GOD was living in just one human body which was JESUS, so HE was confined to time and space. HE was the only temple or mansion of GOD that GOD lived in at that time, and GOD wanted to live in many temples, many mansions, many human bodies. JESUS said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you [when I become the HOLY SPIRIT], I will come again, and receive you unto MYSELF; that where I am [by the HOLY SPIRIT], there ye may be also. And where I go, you know, and the way you know” (John 14:3-4).

In John, chapter six, JESUS had previously told HIS disciples that HE came from GOD in Heaven.6 That is why JESUS told them, “Where I go, you know.” HE told them that they knew the way, but to make sure, JESUS clarified HIS statement. “Thomas said unto HIM, LORD, we know not where YOU go; And how can we know the way?” JESUS responded, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the FATHER, but by ME” (John 14:5-6).

By this, JESUS is saying that every religion is false, and every proud person that believes that they can enter into Heaven by any way other than through HIM is wrong.7 GOD sent HIS SON into the world to save sinners.8 We are saved by faith in what HE says because HE is the WORD of GOD.9

GOD knows we love HIM, if we believe what HE says and keep HIS commandments.10 The first and most important commandment of them all was stated by JESUS in Mark 12:30: “Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31).11

Uninformed artists have often created paintings of the LORD inaccurately. They depict a frail man with long, stringy, blond hair and blue eyes. I have seen JESUS. HE appeared before me with my eyes wide open while awake. HE doesn’t look like that. HE has curly black hair, a beard, and dark, brownish-black eyes. HE is a Jew. HE looks very much like I did as a young Jewish man. Our skin is the same color. But everyone’s skin in Heaven is a beautiful golden color. However, we are not to love GOD for the way HE looks; we are to love HIM for what HE has done, for coming into the world as a man and sacrificing HIS life for us humans.12

The Muslims and members of many other religions believe they can’t know GOD personally.13 They believe that HE is far off, abstract, and we are like so many ants to HIM. They believe it would be impossible for GOD to come into the world as a baby, needing HIS diapers to be changed, and having to be nursed by HIS mother. And even more, they feel that it is impossible for us to live in a human body without sinning. But it is possible IF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS LIVING IN US.14

After being crucified, JESUS rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven, and became the COMFORTER so we could be filled with HIS SPIRIT. 15 “Ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY SPIRIT is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our GOD shall call” (Acts 2:38-39).

Why does GOD give us all of this power? What is the purpose of this power? The baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT living in us gives us the power to keep the first and second commandments, which, again, are to love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength, and to love thy neighbor as thyself (Mark 12:29-31). The HOLY SPIRIT dwelling within also gives us the power to keep all the commandments as GOD requires, and so much more.16 True, lasting peace will abide with you, no matter what trials you go through in life.17

GOD in JESUS came into the world to tell us what all of this means. “HE that has seen ME has seen the FATHER” (John 14:9). HE rebuked Philip by saying, “Believest thou not that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of MYSELF: but the FATHER that dwelleth in ME [in my human body], HE [GOD] does the works.” Then JESUS commanded HIS disciples, “Believe ME that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME: or else believe ME for the very works’ sake.” JESUS told them that if they believe in HIM, “The works that I do shall [you] do also; and greater works than these shall [you] do; because I go unto MY FATHER” (John 14:10-12).

Loving the LORD means you keep HIS commandments because you are grateful that HE shed HIS blood and died so your sins could be forgiven. You love HIM because HE has given you the truth in HIS WORD, peace, power over sin by HIS HOLY SPIRIT, and the ability to live in Heaven with HIM forever. HE alone gives you the power to love one another and to love your neighbor. The LORD came into this world to show us that through HIM, we are able to attain Heaven, and HE gives us the power to do it.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY name, that will I do, that the FATHER may be glorified in the SON” (John 14:13). JESUS says that if ye shall ask anything according to HIS will, in HIS name, HE will do it. But the LORD tells us that this is a conditional promise. That condition is, “If you love ME, keep MY commandments.”18

JESUS shows us how to receive the HOLY SPIRIT. “Keep MY commandments. And I will pray the FATHER, and HE shall give you another COMFORTER [the HOLY SPIRIT], that HE [the FATHER in ME] may abide [live] with you for ever; Even the [HOLY] SPIRIT of truth; whom the world [unsaved false religions] cannot receive, because it [they] seeth HIM not, neither knoweth HIM: but ye [born-again Christians] know HIM; for HE dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless [without ME living in you]: I will come to you” (John 14:15-18).

HE will come to you and live in you with the FATHER by the SPIRIT if you agree to lead an unsaved world to the truth, which is CHRIST, and show the way to eternal life, which is CHRIST.19 GOD by the HOLY SPIRIT will give you rule over your own spirit, which will bear record to the unsaved people of the world that CHRIST in the FATHER by the SPIRIT is in you. HE will enter your heart by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
