RESIST

The word “resist,” according to Webster’s Dictionary, means “to withstand; fend off; to oppose actively; fight against.”
James 4:6-11 states, “GOD resists the proud, but gives grace [GOD’S strength] unto the humble [‘Humble’ means ‘to lower in condition or rank; abase; the opposite of pride; make modest.’ The meaning of ‘pride’ is ‘an unduly high opinion of oneself; haughtiness; arrogance.’]. Submit yourselves therefore to GOD. RESIST the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to GOD, and HE will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD, and HE shall lift you up. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.”
To resist the devil, we must obey the law, not judge it. The Prophet Samuel said, “Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” (1 Samuel 15:22). To resist Satan is to love GOD and keep HIS commandments. In Exodus 20:4-6, GOD stated in HIS law, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy GOD am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate ME; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love ME, and keep MY commandments.”
It is sin to hate GOD, but it is not sin to hate the devil. GOD loves, but HE also hates. Evil “King Ahab of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war” (2 Chronicles 18:3). However, according to Scripture, it is wrong for the people of GOD to help the people of the devil, those that hate GOD. The prophet Jehu came to Jehoshaphat after Ahab had been killed in the battle, and said, “Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD” (2 Chronicles 19:2).
Psalm 97:10 states, “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: HE preserves the souls of HIS saints; HE delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.” If you are to resist Satan, you must hate evil. Otherwise, you are not resisting the devil. Do you hate evil? Do you love GOD? If you love GOD, you keep HIS commandments,1 and one of HIS commandments is to resist.2 The devil will give you many ungodly urges every day that must be resisted if your wish is to enter Heaven on the day that you expire.3
Proverbs 8:36 states, “All they that hate [GOD] love death.” JESUS, who is GOD, swallowed up death. HE was murdered, and then showed that HE is GOD by rising from the dead. Everyone that dies out to this world’s urges and impulses, everyone who has accepted CHRIST’S death to the world by resisting their fleshly desires, is risen from the dead in CHRIST and is saved forever as long as they continue resisting until the end.4
First Peter 5:5-9 states, “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for GOD RESISTETH the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of GOD, that HE may exalt you in due time: Casting ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM; for HE careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom RESIST stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” Vigilantly walking uprightly before GOD is resisting the devil.
Many false teachers say that the people of GOD should not hate under any condition. Many Christians’ consciences are wrongly convicted because of this false teaching. However, the truthful WORD of GOD shows that we shouldn’t condemn ourselves for hating the things GOD hates. GOD said by the SPIRIT in Malachi 1:2-3 that HE loved Jacob, but hated Esau.5 King David by the HOLY SPIRIT said in Psalm 101:3, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes [this is resistance]: I HATE the work of them that turn aside [when the people of GOD turn aside, away from the WORD of GOD, they become antichrist, and the work that they do is exceedingly evil and HATEFUL]; it shall not cleave to me [it shall not cause me to turn aside from GOD’S WORD].”
Psalm 119:104 states, “Through THY precepts I get understanding: therefore I HATE every false way.” Psalm 119:113 states, “I HATE vain thoughts: but THY law do I love” (“vain” means “having no real value; worthless”). Psalm 119:128 states, “I HATE every false way.” “False” here means sinful rebellion against GOD’S laws, which includes committing homosexuality, same-sex marriage, abortion, and also includes rejecting the greatest commandment, which is to love the LORD thy GOD with ALL thy heart, and ALL thy soul, and ALL thy mind, and ALL thy strength (Mark 12: 30).6
Psalm 119:163 states, “I HATE and abhor lying: but THY law do I love.” Psalm 139:21 states, “Do not I HATE them, O LORD, that HATE THEE? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against THEE?” King David adds in Psalm 139:22, “I HATE them with perfect HATRED: I count them mine enemies.”
King Solomon stated in Proverbs 6:16-19, “These six things doth the LORD HATE: yea, seven are an abomination unto HIM: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 8 state, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven... A time to love, and a time to HATE.”
In Jeremiah 44:4-6, GOD told Jeremiah, “Howbeit I sent unto you all MY servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I HATE [so many times, it’s a sin not to HATE]. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods. Wherefore MY fury and MINE anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.”
GOD also shows HIS HATRED in the New Testament in several verses of Scripture, one being Revelation 2:6, where JESUS is rebuking the church of Ephesus, but tells them, “But this thou hast, that thou HATEST the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also HATE.” And JESUS said to the church of Pergamos in Revelation 2:14-15, “But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I HATE.”
The Nicolaitans can be likened to today’s worldwide Roman Catholic cult. They literally HATE CHRIST, the FATHER, and the HOLY SPIRIT. This is one of many reasons that they worship Mary and other deceased humans which they call a multitude of saints. This holy-looking, beyond wealthy organization is the head of the one-world church, which includes the United Council of Churches (and all false religions). They are also the head of the one-world government, which includes the United Nations. They are a worldwide organization, which GOD calls “the beast” and the Antichrist (Daniel 7:7, Revelation chapters 13, 17).
GOD’S WORD states that the Roman Catholic cult is the mother of every abomination on earth (Revelation 17:5). They were the cause of every world war as well as the Civil War and the Vietnam War. The Catholic cult murdered millions of Christians in their three inquisitions, and murdered over six million Jews during World War II. (Hitler was a Catholic and was studying to be a Catholic priest.) Today, all the wars and rumors of wars are planned and executed by this well-hidden, powerful cult, whom CHRIST HATES and wants us to resist. Revelation 18:4 states, “I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, MY people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”
This cult is also called “Jezebel.” In Revelation 2:20, JESUS says to the Church in Thyatira, “I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess [self-proclaimed], to teach and to seduce MY servants to commit fornication [to worship and follow Satan’s Catholic doctrines, which secretly include the practice of homosexuality, lesbianism, pedophilia, child molestation, child abuse, sorcery, and idolatry].”
There are more statues of Mary and saints in most Catholic buildings than there are members in their congregations. They believe that having large temples and monasteries, loud-sounding bells, huge choirs, art, wealth, gold, precious stones, large organs, costumes and the like make them look as though they are holy. However, in the New Testament, JESUS made HIMSELF poor, and had nowhere to lay HIS head at night.7 HE would never have made HIMSELF head of the IRS, as this cult has. Nor would HE have ever walked in pomp, wearing elaborate costumes, as the Roman Catholic cultists do. JESUS was not a taker; HE was a giver.
The Vatican Nicolaitans HATE the WORD of GOD. They are terrorists. We are not to be involved with them because CHRIST HATES them and HATES their sinful deeds against the moral law of GOD. It is sin to murder people as they have done throughout the centuries. It was this group that slaughtered the beautiful Christian church people at Waco, Texas, and countless martyrs throughout history.
Remember, JESUS said, “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5).
They are a very secret and clandestine governmental, political organization, propelled by the spirit of Satan. They label every church a “cult” that is not obedient to them. They defame, destroy, and slaughter their people. They said the Branch Davidians were a cult, but they were a division of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which is not a cult but a church that HATES the Vatican, as JESUS and I do. E.G. White, founder of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, speaks of the Vatican’s evil in the many books she wrote. This is why Rome slaughtered the Branch Davidians, a division of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Layers of deception and protection hide the true identity of the center of Satan’s headquarters on earth. The most specific identifier of this evil entity is: “And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth” (Revelation 17:9). There is no other worldwide, powerful organization sitting on seven mountains but the Vatican, the very seat of Satan.
The Apostle John said, “I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of JESUS” (Revelation 17:6). Revelation 17:18 says, “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth” (Revelation 18:24).
Finally, Mystery Babylon will be burned down and destroyed in a single day.8 When Satan is thrown eternally into Hell and the Lake of Fire, “They that see thee [Satan] shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?” (Isaiah 14:16-17).9
We have never murdered anyone, nor will we ever. We don’t break the commandments of GOD. You can now see that the Vatican is the head of the world’s political and governmental system and is so entrenched in Rome’s New World Order that they ensure members of churches that resist Catholicism are unable to receive justice. When I say we are to resist Satan and his satanic church, Roman Catholicism, I am saying we must resist the deeds of the Nicolaitans and that evil woman, the self-appointed Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess.
We are commanded to “Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good” (Romans 12:9). There really is no compromising with sin or any evil once you have made JESUS your LORD. HE stated, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of MY mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16). We are commanded to give NO place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).
People without understanding often blame GOD for the evil that happens in this world, but it comes from the devil—not GOD. JESUS said, “The thief [Satan] comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). First John 3:8 states, “The devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the SON of GOD was manifested, that HE might destroy the works of the devil.”
The Apostle Peter warns, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Satan, the deceiver, who hates GOD and those created in HIS image, is secretly behind all evil,10 while GOD loves us and wants only the best for us.11 The Apostle Paul called the devil “the god of this world” and he is, for a short time (2 Corinthians 4:4).12 But the LORD gave us HIS authority to decree what will be and forbid evil to continue.13 HE gave us power and authority over the wicked one and his demon followers, but we have to use that authority!14
The FATHER sent HIS beloved SON, JESUS, to bring the light of truth into this world and to expose the evil works of Satan. JESUS healed everyone who came to HIM for healing and cast out demon spirits from all who were oppressed of the devil, and HE raised many from the dead.15 HE then empowered HIS twelve disciples and then seventy more to go and do the same.16 The job has now been handed to us as ambassadors of the LORD JESUS.17
When JESUS was beaten beyond recognition, that was for our healing.18 “But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM; and with HIS stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
JESUS then willingly laid down HIS life and was crucified although HE did no wrong and HE never sinned.19 HIS blood was shed as an atonement for our sins, so we could have a second chance and be forgiven of all our sins that would send us to Hell. When we repent and receive HIS sacrifice for us, and make HIM our LORD, the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD will enter into us, empower us, and give us dominion over all the deeds of the enemy.20 The WORD of GOD has been preserved for us to have guidance, instruction, and encouragement every time we read it.
The truth is that GOD has done everything to help us in this life and for all eternity. If you want all that GOD has provided for you, start your new life now by saying this prayer:
Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
