UNCHANGEABLE POWER

by Tony Alamo

Those who are saved, born again of the Spirit, are immortal. They have a steadfast anchor for their souls, knowing that they, in Heaven, are forever exempt from death.1 They have a promise from God, who cannot lie, that they will have a life, or being, as an immortal soul, that shall never end, but be free from pain, sickness, aging, and corruption in the paradise which is Heaven.2 Our new lives as new creatures are never ending; they will be everlasting, perpetual, imperishable, and free from annihilation. “Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (II Tim. 1:10).

The promise of God to those of us who are born again of the Spirit cannot be altered. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever, because God, who promises this, is also unchangeable.3 He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! God is immutable, which means unchangeable. He is not capable of ever changing. Hebrews 6:17-20 states, “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability [unchangeableness] of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable [unchangeable] things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we [who are saved] might have a strong consolation [reward for faith and holiness], who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil [eternity]; Whither the forerunner [Jesus] is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

This is why, no matter what we will go through, nothing must ever separate us from the love of God.4 If it would, according to God, who cannot lie, it would be better that we had never known the truth.5 “For if we [even us apostles] sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins” (Heb. 10:26).

Jesus had to sacrifice Himself just one time (for the remission of our sins).6 He will not die again for anyone, especially for those who believe they can continue sinning. “But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant [the promise of immortality], wherewith he [the person who was once saved] was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace [which means mercy]? For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people [as He promised]. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Heb. 10:27-31). These promises are immutable, which again means unchangeable!!7 They are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8).

Other immutable (unchangeable) promises of God are: “But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in Heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword [this sword is the Word of GOD, which the world hates]. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

“He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me [Why? It is because your mother, father, sister, or brother didn’t die for you. Jesus, and no one else, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into Heaven for you. Only Jesus is able to give you eternal life. This is immutable, unchangeable!]: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me. He that findeth his [secular] life shall lose it: and he that loseth his [secular] life for My sake shall find it [eternal life]. He that receiveth you receiveth Me, and he that receiveth Me receiveth Him that sent Me” (Matt. 10:33-40).

These scriptures are to be believed on if you wish to become immortal. If you want to be immortal, begin the process now by saying this prayer to God:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
