WHEN JESUS IS LORD
You know, we hear so much about GOD these days, and there has been, down through the years, a lot of talk about GOD. A lot of churches talk about GOD. A lot of churches talk about a god. Other churches talk about the GOD. But I want to say to you tonight that the enemy of our souls isn’t at all concerned with how many gods we have. We can have all of them we want. We can have gods that are made of gold. We can have gods that are made of clay, china, porcelain, mortar, any of these things, and this is totally acceptable to the enemy of our souls.
As a matter of fact, we can even believe that there is one GOD, and we can even believe that HE’S the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and we can even believe that HE is the FATHER of JESUS CHRIST. Mentally, we can even believe all of these things and still be condemned to Hell.
Bear in mind that the devils in Hell know who JESUS CHRIST is and tremble at the name of JESUS, and yet their souls are confined to Hell. When we become a mortal threat to Satan, to the powers of evil, and to the powers of darkness, is when GOD becomes LORD. When we accept HIM into our hearts as our LORD and our MASTER, and we walk daily beside HIM and keep HIS commandments, then, I’m going to tell you that you will shake up every troop in the pits of Hell. If they weren’t too concerned about you before, you’re going to stir up some enthusiasm that is unbelievable. You have never been so important in your life. You become so important that Satan begins to send out troops. He knows your name. He knows who you are. Oh yeah, he knows all about you and he begins to tremble. He says, “Look out for that one! Look out for him! He infuriates me! Go after him with everything you’ve got! But the way to go after him is to deceive him, and make him think there’s no such thing as a devil, because if you can make him to believe there’s no such thing as an enemy, then you’ve got nothing to worry about. But go after him, deceive him!”
Look at the people in the Bible that believed there was a GOD. I am sure that Adam believed there was a GOD. I don’t think there could even be any question about that, that Adam believed there was a GOD. He knew there was a GOD. He had talked to GOD. He had fellowshipped with the living GOD, and GOD, out of HIS own mouth, had given the commandment to this first creation of HIS.
So Adam was well aware that there was a GOD. But yet, when the power of darkness, the deceiver entered in, he didn’t even try to make Adam believe there wasn’t a GOD. He made him believe there wasn’t a Satan. “You see, I’m not really a serpent, I’m an angel. I’m not really an evil one, but I’m coming to clue you in. I’m going to help you out. There really is an easier way to do this thing. Now let me help you out.” But even he wasn’t foolish enough to say there’s no GOD. Even Satan was more intelligent than that, for he said, “Hath GOD said?” Didn’t He? He didn’t even deny that there was a GOD, but he didn’t say who he was, did he. He came as an angel of light, subtle, and he cost the first creation of GOD his life, and he cost him his soul, because he deceived him.
And the GOD that Adam had known and talked to—HE was GOD, HE was CREATOR, but HE wasn’t LORD, HE wasn’t LORD in the moment that the deceiver came. LORD is MASTER, LORD, my LORD means that HE is my MASTER, that I am under subjection to HIM as a ruler of an empire, a king of the earth.
What man is there among us, or even child of any age of sensibility, that if a king, with a big crown upon his head, sitting upon a throne would say, “I want you to do an errand for me,” would have the nerve or the audacity to question the right or the wrong of the decision of the king? They would bow down low before the king. “Yes, my lord. Yes, my lord.” For he is king, master, lord. Unquestionable, regardless of what the servant might think about the errand or the decision. He’s lord, and there is no way he can question without losing his head. So he goes on and he does what the king commands for he is a servant and owes his allegiance.
But to Adam, GOD was CREATOR, He was GOD, he knew HE was there, but HE had not become the LORD of his soul. The deceiver became the lord of Adam’s life for he chose to take the decision of the deceiver rather than that of the living GOD. What was the end result? Sin, torture, torment, and eternal, everlasting Hell when it was all over.
So we could know that there’s a GOD. We could know and believe the Bible. But until HE becomes the LORD of our soul… That’s when every devil in Hell begins to tremble, when JESUS CHRIST is the unquestionable LORD of your heart and your soul. When you look to HIM, and regardless of what HIS word says, “I believe it! I may not understand it, but LORD I believe it! YOU’RE LORD! YOU’RE my SAVIOR! YOU’RE my GOD!” I’ll have no other gods before me, but I’ll bow down before HIM who is the KING of my heart, the unquestionable KING of my life. HE is my LORD and I am HIS servant.” Then the powers of evil and darkness become concerned, when you’re a moving powerhouse. Your perspectives, your desires, your ideas, your ideals, your life is turned toward the Living GOD and you’re sold out to HIM. Oh! What a threat you become then to the powers of evil and of darkness.
I think about the difference in the two forces. Of how, as time has gone on, how there have been more imps, more demons, added to the confines of Hell. But how JESUS CHRIST is LORD, VICTOR, POWER ETERNAL and EVERLASTING. I think of the difference in the movement of these two forces. Of how JESUS, if we as person to person would talk to JESUS, “SAVIOR, how many demons are there?” “MY child, MY child, thousands, thousands of them. But why do you even ask ME that? Why are you even interested in that? I told you to keep your eyes upon ME. As long as you follow ME and keep MY commandments, they’re no threat to you whatsoever. Why do you even ask ME that?”
And I think about how much more interest is stirred up from the forces of Satan by the LORD JESUS CHRIST and HIS power. Oh! When you talk about JESUS, every devil in Hell gets upset. They start shaking and quaking. When JESUS met the man that was coming out of the tomb, there wasn’t any doubt but that the demons in the body of that man knew HIS name. They knew who HE was. “Thou Son of David, why have YOU come, to torture us before our time?” But JESUS was so disinterested in them…”Come out of that man! HE dragged them and stated…“Come out of there! Identify yourself you little imp! What’s your name?” Do you believe that JESUS CHRIST was so disinterested in them, HE didn’t even know what their names were because he had power and victory over them. But when they started coming out, “Legion, identify yourself.” HE wasn’t concerned enough about them to call each and every one of them by name. They were conquered! For HE had the power and the dominion to conquer every devil in Hell!
Listen to a conversation from the powers of darkness about JESUS CHRIST. Listen to a bunch of old demons sitting around in the pits of Hell rappin’: “I was down here when HE came and let me tell you right now, never, beyond your wildest, most vivid imagination, could you ever believe the power THAT MAN has got. I’m telling every one of you little imps that didn’t happen to be in existence during the time that JESUS CHRIST came down here, don’t you ever underestimate HIM! HE walked right into the pit of Hell! The flames had no power on HIM! Every one of us, HE backed us into our own flames, and then HE had the nerve to walk up and down and preach the Gospel while we were in torture! Don’t you ever underestimate the power of THAT MAN called JESUS CHRIST!” “But is it really true, Satan? Is it really true that HE did rise up?”
“Oh! Oh! BELIEVE IT! IT’S THE TRUTH! BELIEVE IT! AND HE REALLY ASCENDED INTO THE HEAVENS! Oh, HE sure did. And I’m going to tell you something else. Our time is short. You don’t want to have any encounter with HIM because, I’ll tell you, I was down here when HE did it. You don’t want any encounter with HIM. And get out there and do your work! Fast! For the time is short. Oh! HE’S coming back. HE’S coming back! And HE’S going to take power and dominion over this earth! Over mankind! And it will be too late! And whatever we’re going to accomplish, we’re going to have to do it now, for our time is short!”
And as these two legions of powers, the power of the Living GOD, the resurrected glory of LORD JESUS, who is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. That is HIS name, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. And as HIS army and HIS people go forth under the power of the living GOD, moving in and out, dedicated to their cause, I’m telling you that if every born again SPIRIT-filled Christian tonight would hit their knees to the floor, begin to cry out to God, and make a surrender before the living GOD, and make HIM the LORD and MASTER of their heart and their soul, we could bring this thing to a head in twenty-four hours. It’s the truth! It’s the truth!
But to many, “Oh, there’s a GOD, yeah, there’s a JESUS.” But let JESUS become LORD. Let HIM become your LORD, and when HE does, there’ll be excitement in the forces of evil and darkness over you. You’ll create some excitement.
I want to say in closing, there is a GOD. And as surely as there is a GOD, there is a Satan for GOD’S WORD says so, and HE’S our LORD, we believe HIM. We really believe HIM. It’s manifested in our lives, in our desires towards GOD that we believe it. That’s why we have given our lives that others may know JESUS CHRIST as LORD.
And in closing this evening, I invite you to come. Let JESUS become your LORD.
Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, Jesus said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Diligently study the King James Version Bible, and do what it says.13

Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
God commands us to correct and discipline our children.14 Marriage is allowed by God at puberty when children become men and women. Forbidding this is the doctrine of devils (1 Timothy 4:1-3). Pastor Alamo is in prison for preaching and doing what the Bible says.
