TRUST AND OBEY GOD’S LAWS
FOR THERE IS NO OTHER WAY

There are many events which happen only once in the Bible. (1) Creation (Genesis Chapts. 1 and 2); (2) The ten plagues of GOD resulting in the destruction of Egypt (Exodus Chapts. 8-11); (3) The opening of the Red Sea, where Israel walked through on dry ground (Exodus Chapt. 14); (4) The virgin birth of CHRIST, our LORD (Matthew 1:23-25, Luke 1:35, John 1:1, 13-14); (5) All the firsts of JESUS (Matthew 8:23-27, Luke 7:11-17, 8:1-4, John 2:2-11, 13-17); (6) Hosea, the prophet, was told to marry a prostitute (Hosea 1:2-3, 3:1-3); (7) Isaiah was told by GOD to go nude for three years (Isaiah 20:2-3); 8) David, who killed the giant, Goliath, was told by GOD to take several wives (2 Samuel 12:8); 9) John the Baptist’s mother, Elisabeth, was filled with the HOLY SPIRIT when Mary saluted her (Luke 1:41); 10) Elisabeth’s baby (John the Baptist) was filled with the spirit of Elijah and the HOLY SPIRIT at the same time (Luke 1:44). It is written that he would go forth in the spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:17), and JESUS said that John was Elijah (Matthew 11:11-14). So he (Elijah) had come back to earth, did what GOD told him to do, then was beheaded, murdered, martyred, and returned to Heaven (Matthew 3:1-6, 14:10). (11) JESUS died once by crucifixion, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into Heaven once. The list from Genesis through Revelation goes on and on.
Adam and Eve—at that time, one husband, one wife—were both holy, but after sinning, they were holy no more. Now, laden with curses which include dying, men are commanded by GOD not to be overrun by their wives, but to have dominion over them, and to be led by the SPIRIT of GOD. (Genesis 3:16, Romans 8:1-6, Galatians 5:16-18, 25, Ephesians 5:22-24, Colossians 3:18, 1 Peter 3:1, 5-7).
There are many instances in the Bible where holy men of GOD were given more than one wife (Genesis 29:28-30, Exodus 2:21-22, Numbers 12:1-3, Judges 6:11-12, 8:30, 10:3-4, 12:8-9, 13-14, 1 Samuel 1:1-2, 2 Samuel 3:2-5, 12:8). As a matter of fact, to deny this fact is to deny the truth of GOD, HIS WORD, and the faith. If you do, you shall be damned for disbelieving CHRIST, who is the WORD OF GOD (Mark 16:16, John 3:36, 12:48).
Kings are not to multiply horses or wives (Deuteronomy 17:16-17). Don’t multiply horses for the purpose of taking a trip back to Egypt (Egypt is symbolic of sin), and don’t multiply wives (instead of letting GOD give you wives, as HE did David and others, if HE wishes). If GOD gives anything to you, it is not sin!! Who are we to instruct GOD or to confuse the people of GOD after GOD has instructed HIS people? Who is able to say unto GOD, “What doest THOU?” (Job 9:12, Daniel 4:35), especially when they don’t know GOD, they don’t know HIS WORD, they don’t know HIS personality, and they don’t know what they are talking about?
If GOD gives, adds, or multiplies something for HIS servants, including wives or anything else, it is not wise to question it. Moses wrote Genesis. He spoke of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were one man, one woman, yet Moses had three wives.1 He had a large ministry. He needed more than one helpmate. When Adam and Eve were created by GOD, they were naked and not ashamed, but everything has changed since then!
If you’re not saved, you are not able to understand GOD (1 Corinthians 2:10-14). We may think we know what is right or wrong in the eyes of GOD, but we don’t. It will be much better for us on the Day of Judgment if we study GOD’S WORD before we teach! You must become born again of the SPIRIT (John 3:3-7). We should study the WORD of GOD, then tell the world what GOD says, instead of Polly-parroting the heresy we may have heard from the unsaved media and unskilled, unsaved, ungodly mentors of all types! Believe GOD and CHRIST’S ability (Genesis 15:6, John 8:31-32, 15:14, Acts 16:31). Believe and be saved; doubt and be damned (Mark 16:16)! You are free to believe and free to doubt! We are the ones who must choose what we will believe.
Joshua, while speaking to the nation of Israel said, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. And the people [of Israel] answered and said, GOD forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods; For the LORD our GOD, HE it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for HE is our GOD.
“And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for HE is an Holy GOD; HE is a jealous GOD; HE will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then HE will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that HE hath done you good. And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD. And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve HIM. And they said, We are witnesses. Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD GOD of Israel. And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our GOD will we serve, and HIS voice will we obey” (Joshua 24:15-24).
You, if you have an honest heart, should be able to understand the Bible (KJV), the WORD of GOD, much better after you have accepted HIM, JESUS (John 1:1), as your personal SAVIOR. Accept HIM now by saying this prayer!
Prayer
My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11
You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow Jesus for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.
Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God in Christ on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the Word says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.
Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
