VENGEANCE IS MINE SAITH THE LORD

Vengeance from God is just retribution, or recompense.1 Vengeance from God is His love to support HIS LAWS, and it is warrantable and just. When it is from God, vengeance is just retribution, recompense, or punishment. The scriptures are full of God’s vengeance and judgments. “For all His [God’s] ways are judgment” (Deut. 32:4). God’s vengeance is frequently the punishments He inflicts on unrepentant sinners. God says, “To Me belongeth vengeance, and recompense” (Deut. 32:35). Deuteronomy 32:8 also states, “He separated the sons of Adam [the sons of Seth from the sons of Cain who murdered his brother Abel. Seth and his sons were the sons of God, which were those who believed in God].” The daughters of men were those ungodly women who were the seed of ungodly Cain. The sons of God, were the sons of Seth (the godly), who began marrying one another, ungodly women, the godly with the ungodly. They were sinning because they were unevenly yoked with (married to) the unbelieving daughters of men, Cain, the unbelievers’ seed. God separated the sons of Adam, but against God’s will they married and raised ungodly children. Heretics say that angels had sex with the daughters of men and this produced giants. They also say that the angels are sons of God, but God never ever called any of the angels sons. “For unto which of the angels said He [God] at any time, Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He [Jesus] shall be to Me a Son?” (Heb. 1:5). Angels cannot have baby angels, children, or giants because they don’t have reproductive organs. So it is impossible for them to have sex or children! Neither will we when we are in Heaven. We will be like the angels. Jesus said they and we will not marry or be given in marriage. “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in Heaven” (Matt. 22:30).

These are God’s judgments. (Judgment: Deuteronomy chapter 32, read the whole chapter.) “The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries” (Nah. 1:2). Judgments come from God with great violence or vehemence: He strikes with vengeance.2

This was the prayerful request of David in Psalms 94:1-23: “O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, show Thyself. Lift up Thyself, Thou Judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud. Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? How long shall they utter and speak hard things? And all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They break in pieces Thy people, O Lord, and afflict Thine heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see? He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not He correct? He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not He know? The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity [empty]. Blessed is the man whom Thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of THY LAW; that Thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. For the Lord will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. When I said, my foot slippeth; Thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul. Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with Thee, which frameth mischief by a law [as today’s government]? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And He shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off [kill them] in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off [kill them].”

Jesus, in Luke 21:10-12, 16-19, spoke of the time in which we are currently living: “Then said He [Jesus] unto them [His disciples], Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences [many diseases]; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for My name’s sake. But there shall not a hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.”

Never give up. You’ve paid some price for your beliefs. It will be just a few more minutes, then you will gain an eternity of ecstasy, beyond anything anyone could ever imagine! Jesus paid the ultimate price. We may also pay the ultimate price.

Say this prayer, then continue to the end so you can be there with Jesus and the rest of us:

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You’ve just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.
