REGGIE
THE STORY

TONY ALAMO LEADS REGGIE JACKSON (notorious Memphis, Tennessee gang leader)
TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST WHILE IN HIS FEDERAL PRISON CELL

First of all, I would like to give all unto our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for allowing me to testify in the name of the Lord. And I would also like to thank Jesus for delivering world Pastor Tony Alamo to me to guide me to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

My name is Reginald Jackson, and I would like to have just a brief moment of your time to tell you about the Lord Jesus.

Not long ago, I was touched by the Holy Spirit. For the first time in my life, I had feared the Word of God.

Now, I’m a young man that had erred too much in life. I was led astray from the Lord by false preachers and poverty.

Now these false preachers, when I was a child, would always pass offering plates around and they would use words like, “We need to raise money for the Pastor and his family” or “We need to raise money because the Pastor needs a new car.” These pastors’ words would always lead me to believe that the pastors were crooks and they were out for personal gain only.

I used to watch elderly women walking home after church, just barely making it, and here comes this same preacher in that brand new car passing by the same elderly woman who put her last money into the offering plate. And that preacher would just honk his horn and keep moving on.

Now, I know many of you people that are reading this can relate to what I’m saying. What about these words, “We need to raise fifty thousand dollars so that we can build a bigger church, and we need this by the end of the month so that we can build a church,” but they never tell you about the new house that they built with your hard earned money they just paid for.

Now, if these pastors would use the fifty thousand to teach the Word of Christ, or to print tracts so that we can understand the Word of God better, then it would be all right.

Take, for example, the Alamo Church that helped millions of unsaved and saved people to overcome poverty and to lead them to Christ. I pay close attention to all of these things as I came up in different religions and different churches. Those things and more drove me straight into gangs and crime.

At the age of sixteen, I was a member and also the leader of a gang named, the Bone Family. I didn’t believe in the Word of the Lord because the only word I heard was from crooked pastors. So I thought I had to work for Satan only, doing whatever it took to make a buck. Now when I say whatever, I mean whatever.

In the month of March 1984, I was convicted of four armed robberies. Now I had just turned the age of eighteen. Now my juvenile situation was totally outrageous. At this time, at the age of fourteen, I was put in juvenile by my mother for being disobedient. When I was turning the age of fifteen, I was charged with burglary and stealing out of stores. What about the age of seventeen, being picked up for murder? What about being kicked out of school and being banned from every school in the city? So as you can see, my life was totally with Satan.

Now at this present time, I am in a federal prison in Memphis, Tennessee, serving time for a counterfeit charge.

It has taken me twenty-nine years to finally become a man and start accepting my responsibilities. I found Christ in a jail cell. It happened so strangely.

I walked into a cell where Pastor Alamo was having a Bible study with another inmate, Jerry Chapman. I was asked to have a seat and listen to the Word. While I was listening to the Word of God, something struck me. It was like my life was in danger. It was like my soul was in danger. These Words of the Lord were touching me. They were scaring me. I was afraid of the words that were being read to me out of the Bible.

I bowed my head and prayed right there on the spot, but these words were still attacking me. So I prayed, and I prayed, and I prayed again, asking and begging the Lord to forgive me for my sins, to please accept my soul in Heaven, to please take me out of darkness and lead me into the light.

After this experience, I told Pastor Alamo about what had just happened. He told me that the Lord was calling for me. After that day I felt glorified. I felt brand new. And then things started changing. Money was coming in the mail. I found myself writing Christian poetry. I found myself praising the Lord. I found myself forgiven. See, I don’t know about you and what you have been through, but I do know that Christ is here, and I do know that Jesus is the only way, and I do know that God sent a messenger to guide me to my Saviour. And I do know that if I was trusted by Jesus, then you can be trusted by Him also. See, I’m walking, see, I’m working for the Lord now. See, now I have a leader, a true leader, Jesus Christ.

Please don’t fall in the same trap that I fell in throughout my life. Your treasure is not here on earth, it is in the kingdom of Heaven. You don’t have to stay on drugs, and murder, steal or rob. All these things are from Satan. Satan would love to cause your soul to be burnt in hell forever. Don’t give your life and soul to Satan. Give it to Who brought you into this world. Give it to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He works for me and He’ll work for you.

I’d like to thank God for sending His messenger, Pastor Tony Alamo, my way. Pastor Alamo has encouraged me to find the Lord. Pastor Alamo, through Christ, has made it possible for me to write my testimony so that the world can read it and know that Christ is the only way. Pastor Alamo is truly a messenger from God, and I am sure when he is finished here on earth, the doors of Heaven will be wide open to accept him.

So thank you, Pastor Alamo, for being there for me and with me because God says, where there are two or more gathered in My name, there I am also. 1

I have watched Pastor Alamo, as a fellow inmate, stand toe to toe with the nonbelievers, battling for the Word of Christ against Satan, with some of the toughest and hardest criminals around and he has led many of them to Christ, just like me. I have watched, I have learned, and now I will battle for Christ. I will not bend down. These words were spoken by Pastor Alamo and they will always be remembered.

When I, Reginald Jackson, am released from my prison cell, I’m going to preach and keep God’s commandments. I’m going to change the hearts of nonbelievers. I am going to lead souls to Jesus. Jesus has called and I have answered. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, praise the Lord.

If you want to know Jesus and you need Jesus in your life, start out by saying this prayer just as I did.

Reggie Jackson

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

Now that you are saved and forgiven of your sins, raise your hands and praise the Lord. “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.”2

Christ now lives in you through the Holy Spirit. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of God in you. God the Father lives now in you also. The more of the divine nature of God that lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that so easily have moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. This is caused by more man in us than God in us. Mankind has become so wicked that if Satan and his impish army were abolished, we would be our own devil.

Now that you are saved, pray for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Prayerfully study the Word and pray always for more of the divine nature. For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and to receive more of God’s holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness no man shall see God.3

Now that you are saved it is a commandment to be fully submerged, baptized in water in the name of the Father and in the name of the Son and in the name of the Holy Spirit. Follow all of God’s commands and live.

If you would like to write to Reggie Jackson we will forward the mail for you.

Alamo tracts lead multi-millions of souls to Christ in over 170 countries worldwide.

My Dear Pastor (Tony Alamo),

Greetings in the holy name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I received the gospel tract you sent me along with your monthly newsletter. Thank you so much.

I have organized and established a church here, and named it “The Alamo Christian Church,” because it was through you that I got to know the Saviour, and today not only myself, but others are saved. Praise be to His wonderful name.

We need more copies of your tracts so that everyone in our congregation may have his or her own copy. I need to translate your literature into our language here, but I need sufficient funds to bear the cost. Please send us more of your tracts, as we derive our sermons from them. We are babes in Christ, so please send us anything that you feel will help us. Thanks.

Hoping to hear from you very soon.
Yours in Jesus Christ, J. Narteh
