To whom it may concern:

My name is Don Thorne. I’ve been living at the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries since 1974. The church took me in, off the streets of Hollywood, CA. I was in the middle of a drug deal when approached by the people from TACM. At first I thought them to be Jesus freaks, weak people, and started mouthing off to them, but to my surprise they opened the Bible, and from scripture convinced me of the truth. I received Jesus as my personal Savior, then came to their church services the next night.

I wanted to serve the Lord, and learn more about the Bible. The opportunity was presented to me that I could move into the church and become active in the Ministry, so in turn, I could become a soul winner, a fisher of men, as Jesus said. I was given the best food diet possible, for I was under weight. I received not only food and shelter, but clothing, housing, dental, and medical aid right from the beginning up to today, April 16, 2013.

I remember pulling nails out of donated lumber; lumber we used to build our homes, our schools, cafeterias, play grounds, and swimming pool facilities. The brothers rolled up their sleeves and we’d work on our vehicles, run grocery stores and gas stations. We weren’t into begging on TV or radio stations. We’ve always believed if you don’t work, you don’t eat. Currently I go into Hollywood everyday for about the last 6 months. I’m doing the very thing that was shown to me back in 1974. The Gospel hasn’t changed, nor has the soul winning; not me, the drug rehab, the work ethic, the Gospel; nothing has changed.

This church is about others; we believe in taking care of others, the Lord’s flock, feeding and clothing the needy. I’ve personally delivered truck loads of food to other Christian and non-Christian people.

When the Lord fed the multitudes, He didn’t ask of their faith, nor look at their background. Jesus fed and ministered to as many that came to Him. We built this church on much work and labor, for our families, and also for the new converts which would say, "Yes, Lord."

I hope this letter will help those who need information; I’m a first-hand witness. Don’t second guess; listen and learn. We are the reliable source; we have lived it.

Praise the Lord,

Don Thorne
