My name is Mary Jane Scheff. I have been in the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries for nearly 43 years.
This ministry is not just an ordinary church. We are very dedicated to get the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world. We send out witnessing crews all over the U.S. and have missionaries to India and Africa. We have been doing this nearly 50 years.
We go to hospitals, prisons, and nursing homes bringing the Good News of the Gospel to them. We go to the streets everyday and have been since the ministry started over 50 years ago. We send vans with witnesses to the streets, and witness and bring souls to the church to hear the Gospel, and feed the homeless as well, and bring them back – every day.
When we went to Africa, we set up a water tank and provided fresh clean water – helped them build their own bathroom facilities – provided food and clothing. We brought salvation to hundreds of millions there. We all work and put our money together to make this happen.
We print tracts and ship them all over the world, and it takes money. The members of the ministry work and donate their time and money to the furtherance of the Gospel – this has nothing to do with Tony Alamo.
I worked in our Christian soul-winning restaurant for nearly 10 years, and also in our clothing store in Nashville, Tennessee, off and on for 5 years. It was for the furtherance of the gospel. Our businesses were churches in disguise. Our proceeds paid for printing and shipping thousands of pieces of literature all over the U.S. and all over the world.
The trustworthy, faithful brothers and sisters that have been in the ministry for very many years are the ones that own the different properties and facilities in the ministry. This has nothing to do with Tony Alamo. He owns nothing. My house belongs to my husband and I. It has no benefit to Tony Alamo. We own the different properties – not Tony.
Tony is in prison for 175 years – how is he benefiting from anything? His name is not on any deed of any property or facility – it all belongs to the different members of the church.
This is an on fire church of the Living God and we are exactly like the book of Acts. We are disciples of Jesus Christ finishing the work He started. We are evangelists and missionaries totally dedicated.
