The media keeps printing that the Southern Poverty Law Center has named Tony Alamo Christian Ministries as a "hate group." In reality, the government is the hate group that has tortured and murdered innocent men, women, and children in Waco. They are responsible for the great loss of life in the Oklahoma City bombing and in the destruction of the World Trade Center. This government has cause immeasurable evil in Iraq by invading and occupying a foreign country, and terrorizing and murdering untold numbers of innocent human beings there.

In 1975 Dees was arrested and removed from court for attempting to suborn perjury (by means of a bribe) on behalf of the defendant in a North Carolina murder trial. Though the felony charge against Dees was subsequently dropped, the presiding judge refused to re-admit him to the case; that refusal was upheld on appeal.

In one case cited by Mr. Silverstein, Morris Dees won a judgment for a black woman whose son was killed by Klansmen. She received $51,875 as settlement. Mr. Dees, according to an investigation by the Montgomery Advertiser, pulled in $9 million from fund-raising solicitation letters that featured a particularly gruesome photograph of the grieving mother's son. Mr. Dees, who pays himself an annual salary of $275,000, offered the grieving mother none of the $9 million her son's death made for him.
