Encouragement

by Tony Alamo

God created the heavens for man, and God created the earth for man. 1  The outward body of the first man, Adam, was created from the dust of the earth. 2  God created the inward part of man out of His breath. 3  Thus, man himself is part earth, and because inwardly he is God's breath, he is also part Heaven.

Every human consists of three parts, the body, the soul, and the spirit. 4  The body is the external part of man. 5  The soul and an organ of the soul called the spirit are the internal or inward parts of man, which live within the body of the man God formed from the dust of the earth. 6  The spirit within the man is the organ of the soul that both communicates with God and, upon salvation, is the part where God lives in man . 7  After salvation, man's spirit is able to contact God and to contain the life of God.

GOD'S PURPOSE

God's purpose or plan is to, through man, express or represent Himself as God to the world so that He might acquire a bride for Himself. 8  However, before God can live, express, or represent Himself in man, man must first agree with God's Word, the Bible. 9  To say we have faith in God is the same as saying that we wholeheartedly agree with God's Word, the Bible. 10  If we agree with God, that is, if we believe everything God's Word says, we are the same as believing on the Lord Jesus Christ so that we might be saved. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). The Word also states, "Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God" (I John 4:2). The way we testify that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is to let Him enter us and express Himself through us to the world. 11 Talk is cheap. The things that God does in and through us are the same as our confession that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. A person who does not allow God to live out His life in him is not confessing that Jesus has come in the flesh. He is anti-Christ. "Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist" (I John 4:3). This Scripture means that we are to allow Him to live out His life in us as a testimony of God living and working in OUR bodies. Many people testify with their lips, but God is not living and working in them. 12 God cannot testify, express, or represent Himself in people in whom He does not reside. God's plan and purpose is to express Himself by living and working in regenerated humans' spirits. All those who let God live in them to express and represent Himself are called the Body of Christ. 13  This is why we are called the continuation of God's incarnation. 14

For God to express Himself and represent Himself in us, our old life must be nailed to the cross with Christ. 15  This must occur for us to be resurrected into the spiritual realm, the spiritual, divine world where only the truly born-again Christian lives. 16  This new life is renewed daily by our reading and hearing the Word, which is the same as the Spirit and the life of God, so it can be absorbed into our body and into our spirits for Him to continue living therein daily. 17  As we renew God in us daily, the Spirit of God, which we absorb through the Word will also keep our old life crucified to the cross. 18  We are in this way able to have victory over sin, over Satan, over the world, and over our flesh, death, Hell, and the grave. 19  We are also able to have victory over every problem, every distress, and all oppression. 20

GOD'S TRUTH REIGNS OVER FACT

With God's powerful life and authority with the Father by the Spirit in us, it's a completely different life and a completely different world. 21  It is not the world of fact. It is the world of truth. It is the world of miracles, where all things are gotten from God by total faith in what God says. 22  This takes us out of a depressing world where there is only grim facts. God's truth is far stronger than all of the grievous facts in the world. 23  Faith in God means believing we can have everything, if we let Him live and work in us, and if we ask Him. 24  "If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7).

God takes us out of the ghetto and puts us into partnership with Him on everything He owns. This is the entire universe. I'm talking to you young men in the ghetto who are killing one another. This is for you black kids, along with all kids of every color and race who say, "There isn't any way for us to go." Jesus died for you and resurrected for you. 25  He is telling you, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matt. 11:28). You unsaved young people have no rest or peace for your souls. Your mothers don't have any peace or comfort in their souls either, because they don't know from one minute to the next whether or not you will be the next one lying dead in the Little Rock morgue or in another morgue in some other city. Don't destroy your life and corrupt your soul any longer. Give your worthless, restless, malfunctioning life unto the Lord and receive His life, which is not only far more precious than your own life but also more precious than gold, diamonds, and rubies. 26 You can serve God at my church, where everything is provided for you, because my church is the house of the Lord, a spiritual oasis for those who really want to serve God on this condemned earth. Go with God in Jesus. He will surely spare you in these last days if you do. 27  There is no future for you elsewhere. God's world is the world where "all things are possible" (Mark 9:23). The only thing you must do is believe. 28

When the entire population of the Hebrews, the Jews, were being delivered by God through Moses in Egypt, the fact was that they were at the Red Sea, and the Egyptian army was hot in pursuit. 29  However, the truth that happened was far beyond man's reason. God's truth overpowered the fact of what was happening.  30 God's truth caused the Red Sea to open and let the Jews walk through the Red Sea on dry ground safely, and God's truth wiped out the entire Egyptian army by covering them with the waters of the Red Sea, drowning them all.  31  This will happen for every gang member in every ghetto who will put down his guns, his knives, his drugs, and every other corruption he is currently involved with.  32 God is the very same God, "yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Heb. 13:8). 33 Have faith in God.  34  At the Red Sea yesterday, and in the ghettos today, you will see God is far more powerful than the morbid facts that surround you.

Fact says we're all going to die, and we will, but the truth of God states, "If the Spirit of Him [God] that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you" (Rom. 8:11). It may also be a fact that you are sick with cancerous tumors throughout your entire body, with AIDS, or with some other dreadful plague. The doctor tells you these are the facts, but God's truth says you're healed. 35  We must choose who and what we will believe. Will it be morbid facts from the doctor, or will it be God's supernatural truth? Everyone's life depends upon whether they will believe the negative facts and corruption that is in the world or whether they, in faith, will believe God's truth and be delivered from the facts. 36

DON'T THROW A CAREER WITH GOD IN THE GUTTER

Many of the young men in the ghettos were born to be ministers of God. Don't let the devil convince you to throw your call from God into the gutter. Let this truth from God encourage all the people who are living in every ghetto of the world: "God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to [nothing] things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence" (I Cor. 1:27-29).

All those of you who are sick, depressed, and oppressed, receive God's healing in the name of Jesus. 37  Start out now by opening your heart to God in Christ. Let Him save your soul and the souls of your loved ones. 38

ALL THINGS BELONG TO THOSE OF US WHO ARE SAVED

In the beginning, the plan for God's purpose would never have been fulfilled if He hadn't created the heavens and the earth for man. 39  God created man in His image to be His tabernacle, which consists of the body, the soul, and the spirit. 40 God's living place and communion place is in man's spirit, man's body. 41  It would be impossible for God to communicate with man if He were not the Holy Spirit. It would also be impossible for man to communicate to God without man's spirit, which was put there by the breath of God. 42

Two important parts of the heavens that God created for man are the sun and rain. 43 Without the sun it would be impossible for man or anything else to live upon the earth. Without rain it would also be impossible for any life to exist upon the earth. 44  Fish, fowl, cattle, beasts, creeping things, plants, and man must all have rain to live and to grow. 45 Fruits, vegetables, and other vegetation are necessary for all living things to exist.

If God had not taken the time to plan a Heaven and an earth that would be compatible with man's life on earth, it would be impossible for man to exist on earth and coexist with the Trinity so that he could fulfill God's purpose of expressing Himself to mankind in the human body of Jesus, the Messiah, as well as in the human bodies of all those who would be the continuation of God's incarnation on earth throughout every age. 46  Nor would God, since the day of Pentecost, have been able to express Himself and represent Himself as God in many millions of other humans if His creation for man did not include the heavens, the earth, and God in man living His life with His power, dominion, and authority in His saints. 47  Therefore, God created the heavens and the earth for man, as well as the body or frame of man, the soul of man, and the spirit of man so that man could both contact God by his spirit and contain God in his spirit. 48  Therefore, the heavens belong to us, the earth belongs to us, and for those of us who are saved, God in Jesus belongs to us, just as we, by His Spirit in us, belong to Him. 49

In First Corinthians, the Apostle Paul tells every Christian that all things belong to us if the Trinity dwells in us in these words: "ALL THINGS ARE YOURS; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come [Heaven]; all are yours; And ye are [Jesus']; and [Jesus] is God's" (I Cor. 3:21-23). Paul testifies to every Christian that will ever live throughout the ages: "The Spirit [which is God 50] itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together [with Him]" (Rom. 8:16-17). 51  All those who allow God to live out His life in them shall experience persecution from the world system, from its government, from its cult church, and from its one-world government controlled "media" or propagandists. 52

The Gospel reveals God as He is, man as he is, and Satan as he is. 53  Unregenerated men and Satan do not like it. But God, Who created the heavens, the earth, and everything else, dwarfs Satan, his government, his "church," his "media," and man. Praise the Lord. All things are ours. Jesus said, "All power is given unto Me in Heaven and in earth" (Matt. 28:18), "All power." 54

OF GOD, BY GOD, FOR GOD

People that are on this trip, "of the people, by the people, and for the people" are on a cultish trip. The reality of truth is that everything is of God, by God, and for God. "For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist" (Col. 1:16-17). 55  If people intend to enter Heaven, they must be transformed to God rather than conformed to the world. 56 The true people of God are transformed to God's government, not to "the people." Worldly government conforms not to God, but to "the people." That's why worldly government is so foolish, so perplexed, and so wicked. They have man's will and wisdom at heart rather than the will and wisdom of God. God states, "The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain" (I Cor. 3:19-20). God is the truth. 57 "Let God be true, but every man a liar" (Rom. 3:4). 58

Unregenerated man has always been wrong. 59 God is righteous, right.60  Since God's Word tells us how wicked man is unless he is being used as a living place for God to dwell in and work in, 61   why would we, if we want to live in Heaven, resort to unregenerated man's lawless, sinful ways and thinking? Paul, by the Spirit, tells us, "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind [to God's truth], that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Rom. 12:2). Do this. Be converted 62 and let God live out His life in you. I'm telling you these things because until you get to the place where you know everything is of God, by God, and for God, there will be no peace in your life, no blessings from God for you, and no eternal life in Heaven with God for you. 63

GOD SEES

Proverbs 20:27 tells us that "the spirit of man is a lamp unto the Lord" (orig. Heb.). God can tell everything we think, say, or do by the human spirit that He placed within us. 64  Our spirit is as visible to Him as if it were lit by a floodlight. He can thoroughly search everything we've ever thought, said, or done by our spirit. 65  He knows if we are seeking Him or not. Jesus commands His saints to "pray always" (Luke 21:36) for good reason: we are living in dangerous, perilous times. 66 Paul by the Spirit commands every believer to "Pray without ceasing" (I Thes. 5:17). Again, by our spirit God knows if we are doing this. There is a reason for our obeying God in everything. It is because if we do, we become heirs and joint-heirs with God in Christ, owners of everything that He has, which is the entire universe, and, best of all, we can live forever with Him and all the saints in Heaven. 67 When God gives us everything, there is nothing more He can give. Satan gives you nothing but misery and, at the end, an eternity in Hell, which is our being cast into the eternal lake of fire. 68  God will give you eternal life. Satan can give you nothing but eternal death.

MOVING AS THE SPIRIT MOVES

When we read God's Holy Word, we can easily see that God created everything as the third part of the Godhead, that is, as the Spirit. 69  The Father is the Father, the Son is the Son, and the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit. All three are distinct, yet all three are one. 70  God cannot do anything other than as the Spirit, and the Triune God will not do anything other than as the Spirit. 71  He does everything as the Holy Spirit, the third part of the Godhead.

Later in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit, living inside the man Jesus, the Messiah, "called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power" to "Heal the sick [and all manner of disease], cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils" (Matt. 10:1, 8).

The Word of God, the Bible, tells us every time God moves, He moves as the Spirit. 72  He moved in creation in the same way He moved on the Old Testament writers of the Bible. 73  We see this throughout the Old Testament, in all the miracles, 74  and throughout the New Testament, in the conception of God in Jesus for His incarnation, 75  in the Spirit's anointing of Jesus at His water baptism, 76  and in the Spirit of eternal life in His Word, 77  as well as in Jesus' miracles, 78  His death, His resurrection, 79  and His ascension into Heaven, where He became a life-giving Spirit so He could dwell in millions of His believers as the movement and the growth of the Spirit. 80  Second Peter chapter one, verses twenty through twenty-one states the first thing we must know is "That no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were MOVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT." 81

In the first chapter of Genesis, we see the Spirit of God moving upon the face of the waters, giving the waters the ability to accommodate all the things which would live in the waters. 82  In the same chapter we see God saying, not to Himself in the mirror but to the other two parties of the Trinity, "Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness." "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them" (Gen. 1:26, 27). This shows that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are one but have three functions. 83  All three mutually agree on everything and function as one Spirit, which is the one and only God. 84  Our God is a Spirit, and the Spirit is the same as the Father. 85  The Father is the Spirit, and the Spirit is the Father. The Spirit, the Father, is in the Son, Jesus, and they together are the Spirit. This is the resurrection, our eternal life, if we let them abide in us and if we renew our relationship with Him daily through absorbing the Word, which is God, by reading it and hearing it daily. 86

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the Word of God, and after salvation they live within man's being or person as the Spirit. 87  Together they created everything as one God. 88  Because they coexist, that is, they live within each other, they are never separated. 89  They, the Father in Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, were conceived together in Mary's womb. 90  John 1:1 states "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:4 states, "In Him was life; and the life [of God] was the light of men." John 1:14 states that God, the Word, the Triune God, came to the world as a man.

FROM ETERNITY TO ETERNITY, THROUGHOUT ETERNITY

Eternity existed before the heavens and the earth. 91  We who are saved, though we live on earth now, are eternal, and at the end of the world, at the end of time, we will continue to be eternal if we continue serving God with our spirit to the end. 92  God knew the end of everything at the beginning, before the foundation of the world. 93  From eternity to eternity and throughout eternity, God knows us. 94 It is the Spirit, which is the same as the Father in the Son, who created everything, the Spirit that does His work in and through us when we are His. 95

THE THREE FUNCTIONS OF GOD

The function of the Father is to plan. The function of Jesus, with the Father or Spirit in Him, is to accomplish or carry out God's plan or purpose. The Spirit of God applies every achievement, everything that Jesus has accomplished, to us, that is, to those of us who are saved. 96  Since Pentecost, the Holy Spirit brings every accomplishment of Jesus into every one of us who have had the Pentecostal experience. 97  God, in Jesus, accomplished everything as the Spirit of God so that He, by being in us, could continue accomplishing all of His works through us as the Spirit. 98  We are helpers of God in Jesus by the Spirit, if we let Him use our bodies to continue His work both in and through us. 99  "Likewise the Spirit [of God] also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Itself [living and working in us] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God" (Rom. 8:26-27). 100  In other words, there is only success for God's children. 101  If God is living in you, there is nothing but success, because all that Jesus has done and continues doing is applied to us by the Spirit.

Again, God is one, but has three distinct offices. 102  The Scriptures tell us that when Jesus talks, it is the doing of the Father. Again, "God is a Spirit" (John 4:24). When the Spirit comes, it is obviously the coming of the Father. It is also the coming of the Son, because the Father, by the Spirit, is in the Son. They are never separate. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit live within each other. Revelation 19:13 states that Jesus is "The Word." John 1:1 says the same thing. Again, our God is a Spirit. God's Spirit living in us is our eternal life. 103  Since the Spirit of God and the life of God are in Jesus the Word, Jesus the Word is both the Triune God and the Trinity, because the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the one and only true God. 104  The Word of God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is the Trinity.

SAINTS AND SINNERS

Those who live according to the Spirit by the Spirit of God are saints. 105  Those who live according to the soul are not saints. 106  Sometimes they are able to control themselves because of their own will, but they never receive God into their spirits so they can become children of the Most High God and have eternal life, or so they can live by the power of God's Spirit mingled with their human spirits. 107  They make an outward show of piety and give themselves an air of self-righteousness. 108  However, self is never righteous. 109  This is the soul or self-life. Those who live according to the part of man's soul which is the body are like beasts, or sometimes much worse than beasts. 110

This is a short description of man's soul and the different parts of man's soul that people choose to live by with their own will. Those living according to the Spirit have chosen to be harnessed or controlled by the Spirit of God. 111  Those who live according to the soul life choose to attempt to control themselves. Those who live close to them know they are not real Christians. The spirit of Satan will cause many disruptions in their lives and will cause them to do things they eternally will regret. Those who live according to the body part of the soul or the outward tabernacle, that is, according to the flesh, could have their time or number up at any time. 112  God, knowing the future, knows whether or not they will ever repent. If He sees they will never repent, He will come to them at a time when they least expect it, entering their home, their business, their car, or wherever they may be to take their souls off the face of the earth. If they don't repent of their wicked sinfulness, He will cast them permanently in the place He has created for Satan, his angels, and all those who follow their unlawful ways. 113

DON'T TRUST ANYONE BUT GOD WITH YOUR SOUL

Hundreds of millions of people think they are Christians merely because a religion, a political order, or an unspiritual church or person has told them they are Christians. In order to experience the Christian life, we must certainly know God and have God in Christ living in us. 114  We must also know that we have a spirit. 115  This we must be aware of if we are to have joy and communion with God. 116

If you cannot stop sinning no matter how hard you try, it is because the power of God's life is not in you. God in Jesus is the only One who can give you the power to never sin again. 117  The fact that you can't stop sinning should show you that you're not a Spirit-filled Christian. God holds the universe together by His Word, by the Spirit, the life, and the power in His Word, and if you trust Him, He can hold your universe, your little world, together. 118

If anyone told me I was a Christian and I couldn't stop myself from sinning, I would be despondent. I would believe that God was powerless, and that He was a sadist for commanding me to do things that were impossible for me to do 119  such as be perfect 120  and be holy. 121  I would believe there was no hope for me because the Bible says we have to be perfect, holy, and without sin to enter Heaven. 122  Many others besides me can testify that they are more than able to have victory over sin, Satan, the world, and their flesh by the presence of God in Jesus by the Spirit in them. 123  Jesus said, "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest...For My [work] is easy, and My burden is light [because the Father in Jesus by the Spirit does the godly work in us]" (Matt. 11:28-30). It's His divine, powerful Spirit that delivers us from our weaknesses. 124  It is a great sin to tell people they have Christ in them if He is not in them. If you haven't the faith to believe a Christian life can be lived, it is because the very element of Christian life is not yet in you. 125  "God is a Spirit" (John 4:24). The very essence or substance of God is Spirit. 126  Again, you cannot stop sinning just because you've been told by some unspiritual person that you're saved when you're not. To be a Christian, God's essence, or the substance of God, which is the Spirit, must be in you. 127  We know that we know Him if we keep His commandments. 128  We also know that we know Him when His essence and substance enters us. 129  Again, "The Spirit [of God] itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Rom. 8:16). If this hasn't happened to you, then don't be surprised if you can't stop sinning. You've been lied to all your life. It's time to listen to the truth. Jesus is returning to this earth very soon. 130

Give glory to God. God will wipe your sins away in the precious blood of Jesus and give you the power to live a true Christian life by Him living and working in you. 131  Surrender your meaningless, miserable, worthless life over to God. 132  Let your own life be nailed to the cross with Jesus so that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit will resurrect you into His meaningful, divine, eternal, heavenly life. 133  Then you will surely be able to realize the evidence of God's power living in you. 134  When this occurs, you will know the truth of God's power and authority over everything for you, and when you know the truth of this, "The truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). Then, if people ask you, "Are you a Christian?" you will no longer have to tell them, "Well, I am a this kind of religion" or "that kind of a religion," or "I go to this church" or "to that church," or "I do the best I can." You will be able to say, "Yes, I am a born-of-the-Spirit Christian." God doesn't want us to do the best we can. That isn't why He died and rose from the dead for us. The best we can is like filthy rags unto the Lord. 135  He doesn't want us to do the work by ourselves. If we do the work by ourselves, then it's our work. If He does the work in us and through us, it will be the work of God. 136 There is no reward for attempting to do God's work our way, because our way is not the work of God. Again, God wants to express or represent Himself to the world as Himself in humans. All we can do to not be condemned on the last day of time is to walk with Him in the Spirit, for, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Rom. 8:1). 137

TO THE DESPONDENT WORLD

Today, many people are committing suicide. Many people think that if they commit suicide, it'll be the same as going to sleep in their beds or on an operating table, under anesthesia. This is wrong. When you're asleep in your bed or on an operating table your spirit is still in your body. But when you kill yourself or die of natural causes, your spirit leaves your body. You become wide awake because "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27). 138  Planned murder, whether it is murdering yourself or someone else, is first degree murder because it is premeditated. You are immediately sent to Hell. Why? Because no murderer shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  139

No matter how bad things are on this side of eternity, it is like a Sunday school picnic compared to the horror and torments in Hell, which are forever. 140 It is so frustrating to know you can never get out of Hell, and so very horrible and bitter to even think of it. It is so stupid, so foolish to reject God's mercy in Jesus. The Spirit of God takes the sting and the harshness out of this life both in this world and forever more in Heaven.  141  Just to know you're saved makes everything wonderful. Like the Word of God says, it's a whole different world. When God is in us, God will victoriously take us through all storms, just as He took Jesus through every storm, even to the death of the cross. 142

THE DEVIL IS OUT OF THE CLOSET

The devil knows he's going to Hell soon. Naturally, he's full of wrath and wants to take everyone with him. 143  He doesn't even try to hide the fact that he is the devil anymore. He's operating right out in the open. Everyone knows there's a devil, but God wants you to know that there is a God in Heaven who wants to live in you. 144  He has defeated the devil, and He has condemned him to an everlasting Hell, along with his evil angels and all those who follow him. 145  Satan has already gotten to most people on earth by his deceptions, by convincing people that don't have anything, to believe that they're going to lose something by coming to God through Jesus. 146  Are you going to be one of the foolish ones who believe this hogwash? The devil lives in people just like God lives in people. 147  If you're depressed and oppressed by the world conditions and by the things that Satan is doing to you, call on the Lord who loves you to deliver you from your oppression, from your depression, and from all the evil circumstances you're in. 148  All the prophecies of these things are happening in front of your nose, before your very eyes, and before the eyes of the whole world.  149  The only possible way for us to survive the satanic oppression and the dangerous perilous times ahead in these last days is to get out of the darkness, get into God's light, and be filled with God in Jesus by the Holy Spirit. 150  Let Him live in you so you can be spared from an ugly life here on earth and one which is much more awful throughout eternity. 151  God in Jesus overcame the world and destroyed the works of the devil. 152  Jesus became the Spirit of the Triune God to live in us so that we too could have the power of God in us to overcome our flesh, sin, Satan, the world, and every trial and tribulation the devil planned for us.  153

I'm happy when My Lord and God shepherds me beside the still waters and causes me to lie down in green pastures, but I love it best in the valley of the shadow of death. 154  That's where God keeps me, because it is there I know I shall permanently fear no evil. Thirty-seven years ago I agreed to give up my old life. My old life is now nailed to the cross with Jesus. Because I have surrendered my worthless, non-achieving, non-accomplishing life, which had no value or eternal life, to Him, I have qualified to be resurrected with Jesus into the new life, the spiritual, everlasting life. 155 Jesus, the only begotten of the Father, the first human with the Triune God living in Him, He who was and is the incarnation of God, the Word of God, died on the cross for me, and I believe it. I also believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit, that Jesus ascended into Heaven, and that He, as the Spirit, lives and works in Christians like myself throughout the world. 156  Though He paid the price for my sins, I agree it should have been me on the cross. 157  Therefore, I gladly, willingly took my place there with Him. My old life is going to stay there so that the new life of Jesus, the Messiah, with the Father by the Spirit, the Word of God, may abide in me and help me overcome the world with all of its wicked oppression. The millions of oppressive, unjust things that are occurring in the world will not cause me to separate myself from the love of God, which is in Jesus, the Trinity. 158  I'm going to go on for God. I'm going to let God's divine Spirit continue to dispense Himself, the Word, in and through me by my reading the Word and by my hearing the Word so that He will be able to continuously dispense Himself, the Word, through me into others.

"Cast...[every one of] your care[s] upon Him; for He careth for you" (I Pet. 5:7). He loves you! Do not be despondent about anything that's happening to you. Let God change all that now by accepting the life of God, which is in Jesus, into you now. Say this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
