LIFE AND POWER

by Tony Alamo

The devil "was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him" (Rev. 12:9). Satan has deceived the whole world, with the exception of a few people on earth who fear God, 1 that is, who fear the truth of God's Word and do everything it says because they are aware of the eternal condemnation revealed in God's Word for all those who do not fear God and, as a result, do not keep His commandments. 2 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Psa. 111:10). 3 "The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom" (Job 28:28), and "to obey [God's Word] is better than [any] sacrifice" (I Sam. 15:22).

After we have asked Christ to save us from an eternity in Hell by washing all our former sins away with His precious, soul-cleansing blood, 4 we are told clearly in God's Word to never sin again. 5 If we do, God assures us in His Word that the moral, condemning law will again condemn us to Hell forever for our new sin. 6 In addition, all our former sins that God had forgiven will again be placed on our souls because we desire to be under the penalty of the law again. 7 Then we will be once again in Satan's prison house without the power of God to free us or pardon us. 8 There will be no more forgiveness, no more removal of sins, and no possible way for us to enter Heaven. 9

Esau, who loved this present world rather than the world to come, "was rejected [by God]: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears" (Heb. 12:17). It is written, "There shall in no wise enter [the kingdom of Heaven] anything that is impure, nor will anyone who does what is shameful, or deceitful [those who lie]" (Rev. 21:27, Orig. and KJV text). "Outside [of Heaven] are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood" (Rev. 22:15, Orig. text).

Jesus commands everyone who has just been saved and cleansed from all their former sins to go and "sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto them" (John 5:14). This means if any willfully sin after they've been forgiven of all their former sins, there is no possible way they can be forgiven. Only a sin of ignorance can be forgiven. 10 The moral law will condemn us once again if we willfully sin again, and this time we will be without remedy. 11 "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation" (Heb. 10:26-27).

I've written many pieces of literature regarding these truths which are written in God's divine Word. I believe that 99 9/10% of all professing Christians have never been born-again of the Spirit. They've never been washed in the blood of Jesus, which would take their former sins away. 12 Nor have they ever been filled with the Spirit of the Triune God. 13 Christ is not living and working with His life, power, and intelligence in them. Therefore, they are still accountable for every sin they've ever committed, as well as for the Adamic sin, 14 and they have no power to resist sin, Satan, and the allurements of the world. 15

Unconcerned false teachers and preachers have told them they are saved, cleansed, and born again of the Spirit if they simply join their church or send them money. Because the Triune God's life and power is not in them, they cannot cease from sinning. 16 Therefore, they continue in sin, believing it is because God has no power, no wisdom, and no high intelligence to guide them into all truth. 17 The abundance of false teachers, preachers, pastors, and prophets are guilty of causing this dilemma. The blood of millions of souls will be on their souls for having caused so many multitudes to enter Hell. 18

Because these people cannot cease from sin even after they're told they are saved, they feel there is no more repentance for them. 19 They begin hating God because they don't have His life, power, and intelligence living and working in and through them unto others. They think there is no God because they've never met Him. They've never received His life and power in them. They've never known Him. 20 God's Spirit is not mingled with theirs in holy matrimony for the purpose of doing His will on earth as it is in Heaven. 21 They should have read the Word of God, the Truth, for themselves rather than receiving a lie from others. When, like Eve, they have been deceived, they go on to become evangelists for the devil, just as the Apostle Paul before his conversion. If this has been the case with you, let me tell you there is good news for you. There is great hope for those of you who thought you were saved but never were, just like the Apostle Paul, a devout religionist, thought he was saved because he was a Jew, a Pharisee, until Christ revealed Himself in a supernatural way unto him. The Apostle Paul stated that he was the chief of sinners because he persecuted the saints of God. 22  This very moment you can be saved, just as the chief of all sinners, Paul, was forgiven and saved. 23 You will experience the tremendous life and power of God living and working both in you and through you unto others. 24

If you are tired of not being able to resist temptation, and if you are tired of not having the power to overcome sin, Satan, and the world, then get ready for the most marvelous and incredible experience in the entire universe. You can personally know Christ, His Father, and the Holy Spirit, which are all one God. 25 You can have His IMMORTAL LIFE AND IMMENSE POWER, and you can share the entire universe with Him forever. 26 Believe it or not, this is all possible by simply praying to God with all of your heart and soul. 27 You can leave all your earthly weaknesses behind, nailed to the cross of Christ, 28 and gain Heaven's salvation and power by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner.1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins.3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer.5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus.6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary.7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so.8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me.9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved.10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more.11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
