ARE YOU BELIEVING THE PROPHETS OF GOD
OR
THE FALSE PROPHETS?

by Tony Alamo

Ephesians 4:13 states, “Till we all [arrive at the oneness] of the faith, and of the [full] knowledge of the SON of GOD…unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST.” We are to be filled with CHRIST.1 We are to be the fullness of GOD, filled with GOD. To arrive at the oneness of the faith is to arrive at the oneness of the full knowledge of the SON of GOD. We are to arrive, and we must arrive! However, Paul first speaks of the knowledge of the SON of GOD, then speaks of the measure of the stature of CHRIST, not of the SON of GOD, though HE is the SON of GOD. What is the difference between the SON of GOD and CHRIST? In terms of HIS person, the LORD JESUS is the SON of GOD; HE is also CHRIST. In terms of HIS work, HE is CHRIST. The ONE we know is the SON of GOD, the LIFE of GOD; we also know HIM as CHRIST, the MESSIAH, the MIGHTY GOD, GOD WITH US, EMMANUEL. In the end, we grow up unto the measure of the stature of CHRIST, if we continue in HIM.2

In us, there is the LIFE of GOD.3 Through us, HE does HIS work, and on us is the yoke, the work of CHRIST in GOD.4 The term “SON of GOD” emphasized the fact that GOD’S LIFE, which is CHRIST, has entered into us. Without CHRIST, GOD has no LIFE; and without CHRIST, we have no LIFE, because CHRIST is the LIFE.5 JESUS said, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE” (John 14:6).

GOD’S work is CHRIST HIMSELF; CHRIST’S work is to work GOD HIMSELF into us. The ONE we know through CHRIST is GOD, as well as the SON of GOD. Eventually, however, the issue of our growth is GOD in CHRIST.

We need to have the realization through the HOLY SPIRIT that the SON of GOD is always GOD, the LIFE of GOD, and CHRIST always does GOD’S work both in and through us, if we are saved. Since the SON of GOD is the LIFE of GOD, HE has the nature of GOD. Since CHRIST is GOD’S work, HE is GOD’S plan. In the church, GOD wants the saints to grow into the measure of the stature of CHRIST by knowing CHRIST. This implies that GOD’S LIFE and nature are in the saints. At the same time, GOD’S yoke, HIS work, and HIS plan are also upon the saints. In other words, the saints have GOD’S LIFE and nature within them as a result of the accomplished work, the yoke, of CHRIST which is upon them.

If anyone tells you that you don’t need to work, they are not telling you the truth.6 What they are doing is telling CHRIST not to work both in and through you, even though CHRIST says, “Come unto ME, all ye that labor [do secular work] and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest [permanent Sabbath]. Take MY yoke [Spiritual labor] upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest [permanent Sabbath] unto your souls. For MY yoke [Spiritual work] is easy, and MY burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

JESUS tells us in Revelation 3:21, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with ME in MY throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with MY FATHER in HIS throne.”

Our service in the church should cause the saints to know the SON of GOD, to know the LIFE and nature of GOD in HIS SON, which is to know the LIFE and nature of GOD HIMSELF. A newly saved person may only know that he has peace and joy. He may not realize that the LIFE of GOD is in him. Through our service and fellowship, newly saved individuals should realize they have the LIFE and nature of GOD through CHRIST living in them.

First John 5:12 states that he who has the SON of GOD has the LIFE; the ETERNAL LIFE is in the SON of GOD. When we speak of the SON of GOD and LIFE EVERLASTING, we speak of GOD’S LIFE and GOD’S nature; GOD’S LIFE and nature are in the SON of GOD.

We are an extension of CHRIST in this world. CHRIST spoke to the multitudes, and wherever CHRIST was, the multitudes followed HIM.7 This is because they loved what HE was telling them and doing for them. If you are an extension of CHRIST, you are doing the same thing. Whether you are in a large city or small town, you are winning souls, praying for people, helping them, and teaching them. If you’re a Christian, GOD is in you, and GOD produces the work of GOD both in and through you.8

Matthew 11:1-19 shows us the kind of work we are to do. JESUS tells us in these verses: “And it came to pass, when JESUS had made an end of commanding HIS twelve disciples, HE departed thence TO TEACH AND TO PREACH in their cities [not to just distribute literature]. Now when John had heard in the prison the WORKS of CHRIST, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto HIM, Art THOU HE that should come, or do we look for another? JESUS answered and said unto them, Go and show John AGAIN those things which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, AND THE POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in ME” (Matthew 11:1-6).

But JESUS, are YOU saying we are not to believe someone who tells us YOU’RE born out of wedlock? If people tell us YOU’RE a glutton and a winebibber, are we not to believe them?9 What if they tell us YOU’RE also having a sexual relationship with Mary Magdalene? Are we not to believe that? What about that other woman they brought to YOU who was caught in the very act of adultery? YOU never had sex with her? Even the Pharisees said YOU did all these miracles in the name of Beelzebub, the devil,10 and didn’t YOU say that YOU’RE the SON of GOD?11 Come on, JESUS! Fess up! Are these accusations true? What about all those accusations against one of YOUR followers, whose name is Tony Alamo? Are we supposed to believe that YOU and he are of GOD? JESUS said, “The disciple is not above his MASTER, nor the servant above his LORD. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his MASTER, and the servant as his LORD. If they have called the MASTER of the house Beelzebub [the devil], how much more shall they call them of his household [call Christians the devil]?” (Matthew 10:24-25).

“JESUS answered them [the Pharisees, the religious people], Verily, verily, I say unto you [Pharisees], Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the SON abideth ever. If the SON therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill ME, because MY WORD hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with MY FATHER: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

“They answered and said unto HIM, Abraham is our father. JESUS saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill ME, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of GOD: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father.”

“Then said they to HIM, We be not born of fornication; we have one FATHER, even GOD. JESUS said unto them, If GOD were your FATHER, ye would love ME [keep MY commandments12]: for I proceeded forth and came from GOD; neither came I of MYSELF, but HE sent ME. Why do ye not understand MY speech? even because ye cannot hear MY WORD. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a LIAR, and the father of it” (John 8:34-44).

“Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his LORD. If they have persecuted ME, they will also persecute you; if they have kept MY saying, they will keep yours also” (John 15:20).

Our service in this present world is to lead the brothers and sisters, along with those in the world who will come, to acquire GOD’S LIFE and nature, thereby allowing GOD’S plan to work in them. The result of the work of GOD’S plan in us is the increase of CHRIST, the church.13 When CHRIST increases in us, the stature of CHRIST is increasing in us. For example, if a newly saved person lives in the LIFE of the SON of GOD, GOD’S plan will work inwardly and cause the element of CHRIST to increase in him. The measure of the stature of CHRIST will also increase. To walk in the SPIRIT is the goal we must both focus on and arrive at while we are carrying out the work of ministering the WORD (CHRIST) to the saints and to the world.14

Our service in the church is to lead the brothers and sisters to know the SON of GOD with the view that CHRIST will increase in them so that eventually they will arrive at the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST. In order to arrive at such a goal, we need to constantly pay attention to the building blocks we use. The building blocks that we use in order to bring people to know the SON of GOD and have the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST are a very important matter. For example, when we manufacture anything, we must pay attention to the material that we use in addition to all the other details of the product. In Christianity, the material we use must be CHRIST.15 We can bring the saints to know the SON of GOD only by using the SON of GOD as the material we build with. We can cause the increase of CHRIST in the saints by using only CHRIST as the material. Our preaching alone will not necessarily help the saints or the world to know the SON of GOD. In order for the saints to know the SON of GOD, we must use the SON of GOD as the building blocks; in order for the saints to have the increase of CHRIST in them, we must use CHRIST as the building blocks.

If we preach the Bible with the teachings of Buddha, the pope, or anyone else, will we cause people to know the SON of GOD, or have the increase of CHRIST? The answer is, “No! Not at all!” We can bring people to know the SON of GOD only when our preaching, our utterance, and our eloquence are the SON of GOD, when CHRIST HIMSELF is speaking through us. We cannot be loose in this matter; rather, we must grasp it firmly.

People have told me several times that I should speak about husbands loving their wives and wives submitting to their husbands because it would be difficult for them to attend church without such messages. Frankly speaking, if I give messages on honoring parents, submitting to husbands, and loving wives, I could move many people to tears. However, I have not been sent by GOD to give this kind of message, or to reform people’s ethics. Such messages do not cause people to have more of CHRIST. I am not a servant of ethics; I am a servant or slave of CHRIST.

At different times, people have told me to preach regarding Heaven and Hell. Actually, it is much easier to preach regarding Heaven and Hell than it is to preach regarding CHRIST and the cross. I could preach about Hell and Heaven forever. I could incite tremendous fear in people when preaching about Hell, and I could stir up a strong yearning in people when preaching about Heaven. However, I have not been sent to preach regarding Heaven or Hell; rather, I have seen the LORD of glory, and I have been sent by HIM. I am filled with HIM, and all my inward life, mingled with HIS LIFE, is toward HIM.

All messages are different, and not every message can cause the element of CHRIST to increase in people. Only CHRIST HIMSELF can cause people to know CHRIST and have CHRIST increase in them. If we speak to people about loving their wives, submitting to their husbands, honoring their parents, and nurturing their children, we must speak CHRIST into them as their love, submission, honoring, and nurturing. By loving CHRIST, being filled with CHRIST, fellowshipping with CHRIST, and allowing CHRIST to live both inside and outside them, people will experience the reality of submission to CHRIST. This also applies to husbands. The love with which they love their wives must come from the dispensing of CHRIST into them (Ephesians 5:25-32). Those who fellowship with CHRIST and allow CHRIST to live in them surely will respect, love, and be considerate of their wives. The care of parents for their children should be so spiritual that it is evident their care is CHRIST working through them. Hence, the love with which husbands love their wives is CHRIST; a parent’s love, teaching, and care for their children should also be CHRIST. All of these virtues must come out of CHRIST. If we are filled with CHRIST inwardly, how can we not take care of our children? How could we not honor and be considerate of our parents? This care, honoring, and considerateness are CHRIST HIMSELF.

Our church life must be so strong that a husband’s love for his wife should enable others to see CHRIST.16 A wife’s submission should enable others to see CHRIST,17 and a child’s considerateness and honor toward his parents should enable others to see CHRIST.18 If everything is filled with CHRIST, then whether we are speaking about filial piety, love, or submission, others can gain CHRIST through witnessing these actions.

Many false prophets, such as Joyce Meyer, preach that it’s wrong to keep rules and regulations. This is very wrong. JESUS said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the LAW, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matthew 5:17-18). JESUS, in Revelation 3:16 and 19, stated we must even be zealous in keeping the law, or HE will spit us out of HIS mouth.

The Apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 11:2, “Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and KEEP THE ORDINANCES, as I delivered them to you.” The word “ordinances” means statutes or regulations of GOD. A “statute” means an established rule of GOD, and a “regulation” means a rule or law regulating conduct given by GOD. A “precept” is a rule of moral conduct; a maxim. (All these meanings are found in Webster’s Dictionary.) These show us we are commanded to follow all of GOD’S rules, regulations, and laws. Romans 8:2 states we are to walk in the “LAW of the SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST JESUS.” How is it that so many people believe the false teachers, preachers, and prophets, who say the WORD of GOD is false and they (the false prophets, teachers, and preachers, such as Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen) are true?

Joyce Meyer teaches that a true Christian always smiles and laughs, and that we’re always to enjoy life as she does, shopping for expensive clothing and dining out.19 I don’t see any of this in the testimony of JESUS or any of HIS disciples, and I don’t see this in any true Christian’s suffering, being maligned or being persecuted in any way, which is happening today in this present world.20

The Apostle Paul states in 2 Corinthians 11:23-27, “Are they ministers of CHRIST? (I speak as a fool [facetiously]) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths, often. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren [such as Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, and thousands of today’s other false prophets]; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.” Can you picture the Apostle Paul enjoying this as everyday life? Do you think he was smiling and laughing through all these tribulations? Satan is not angry at the false prophets because they are on his team. They don’t do anything to anger Satan; they make him happy. However, Christians do anger Satan. And this is why Satan, his army of false prophets, and other evildoers persecute us.

As I said at the beginning of this literature, “Till we all [arrive at the oneness] of the faith, and of the [full] knowledge of the SON of GOD…unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST.” How could any person come to the fullness of the stature of CHRIST by listening to these false prophets with their false doctrines? The Apostle Paul states in Galatians 1:8-9, “Though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man [or woman] preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

You will either be filled with the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST, and because of it, spend eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven, or you will believe the false prophets with their false doctrines and spend eternity in Hell and the Lake of Fire.21 If your desire is to spend eternity in Heaven with CHRIST and all the saints, then for your own good, begin walking in the Law of the SPIRIT of LIFE in CHRIST JESUS by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

Then be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.21 Diligently study the King James Version Bible, and do what it says.22

Then, as JESUS commands, be a soul-winner. You can do this by becoming a distributor of Pastor Alamo’s literature. We print Pastor Alamo’s literature in many languages, and we ship them all over the world. We spend millions of dollars on paper and shipping, so we need your prayers and financial help. If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will you rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
