THE DEVIL TALKS TO THE LORD AND THE LORD ANSWERS HIM

by Tony Alamo

The devil talks to GOD, and GOD talks back to him.1 GOD sometimes answers his prayers (requests), as in the case of Job. For you deceived people today who don’t believe anyone is perfect, GOD said that Job was perfect and upright, one that feared GOD, and hated evil (Job 1:1). Job had seven sons and three daughters. He was very rich, the greatest of all the men of the East. Job worshipped GOD, and prayed to GOD continually (without ceasing) (Job 1:5).

“Now there was a day when the sons of GOD came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD [spoke unto him saying unto him], Whence comest thou [where are you coming from]? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. [In other words, from doing whatever I well please in the world, causing everyone in the world as much trouble as possible, tempting them, because they are all sinning and need to be condemned to the Lake of Fire with me. The LORD continued the conversation with Satan by saying,] Have you considered MY servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that fears GOD, and hates evil?

“Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Does Job fear GOD for no reason? [The devil began talking to GOD again, more than most professing Christians talk to GOD. If the LORD hears the devil and talks with him, what’s wrong with you? Satan said, YOU have blessed Job and put a hedge around everything that he has on every side.] YOU have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth YOUR hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will curse YOU to YOUR face.

“[The LORD answers the devil’s prayer:] And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power; only upon himself put not forth your hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD [then wiped out everything Job had—his children, his livestock, everything!]… Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged GOD foolishly” (Job 1:6-12, 20-22).

After all this testing, Job was given much more from GOD,2 but look what happened when Satan prayed to GOD and got an answer. What would happen if Christians would pray as commanded, “without ceasing”?3

Another part of the WORD of GOD which tells us that Satan, the devil, prays without ceasing is in Revelation 12:10: “For the accuser of our brethren is cast down [out of Heaven], which accused them before our GOD day and night.” Verse 11 tells us how to overcome the accuser. “And they [we] overcame him by the blood of the LAMB [by staying sin-free], and by the WORD of their [our] testimony,” which WORD tells us to pray at least as much as Satan. “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

If GOD talks to the devil—and HE does—HE will talk to you! JESUS commands, “PRAY ALWAYS” (Luke 21:36). HE starts out by saying, “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY WORDS shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch you therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS [like Satan, the devil], that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the SON of MAN” (Luke 21:33-36).

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please HIM [GOD]: for he that cometh to GOD must believe that HE is [even as Satan does. ‘The devils also believe and tremble’ (James 2:19)], and that HE [GOD] is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek HIM. [But not Satan. He has blasphemed the HOLY SPIRIT and will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire].”4

One of the many great promises of GOD is that if HE hears and answers Satan, it’s for sure HE will hear you and me and answer you and me, and anyone who will call upon HIM.5 GOD says, “Call unto ME, and I WILL answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).

I’m sure you must have questions you would like answered. You will get them answered if you diligently seek HIM through HIS WORD; HE will be found by you (2 Chronicles 15:2).6 The promise is to those who diligently seek HIM though, at least as diligently as the devil goes after you to send your soul to Hell and to the Lake of Fire with him.

The Apostle Peter warns everyone: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour [he sees if you’re not praying as he does]: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” (1 Peter 5:8-9). JESUS also is A LION, THE LION of the TRIBE of JUDA (Revelation 5:5). HE created Satan, defeated him, and shall send him into the Lake of Fire forever.7

Don’t ever forget GOD. It would be to your own hurt. GOD says, “Offer unto [ME] thanksgiving; and pay your vows unto the MOST HIGH: And call upon ME in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify ME. But unto the wicked GOD saith, What have you to do to declare MY statutes, or that you should take MY covenant in your mouth? Seeing you hate instruction, and cast MY WORDS behind you. When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partakers with adulterers. You gave your mouth to evil, and your tongue framed deceit. You sat and spoke against your brother; you slandered your own mother’s son. These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes. Now consider this, you that forget GOD, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.”8

Keep the commandments. Pray always and let your soul be saved. Start out by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow JESUS for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of CHRIST.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of CHRIST. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for GOD in CHRIST on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the WORD of GOD, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the WORD says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to GOD’S WORD, HIS order, and HIS authority in and by you.

Praise the LORD. May GOD bless and reward you abundantly.

Yours in the wonderful name of JESUS,
Pastor Tony Alamo
