ENVY NOT THE OPPRESSOR

Proverbs 27:4b asks, “But who is able to stand before envy?” Envy is “discontent and ill will over another’s advantages, possessions, etc.; desire for something that another has, which is also covetousness or jealousy,” according to the dictionary.

Matthew 27:18 is where we discover that Pilate knew the priests had delivered JESUS because of ENVY. The priests wanted HIS power, HIS authority. They, like Satan, the devil, wanted to be GOD. As Satan said in Isaiah 14:13-14, “I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the MOST HIGH.”1

How could anyone be so stupid as to be envious of JESUS when it was HE that created everything in Heaven and in earth?2 We must depend on HIM ONLY to save us.3 We must depend on HIM ONLY to raise us from the dead on the last day, if HIS SPIRIT is in us.4 We have to depend solely on HIM to unite our bodies with our spirits, if we are in Heaven. We must depend on HIM for everything.5

Acts 1:1b-5 says, “All that JESUS began both to do and teach, Until the day in which HE was taken up, after that HE through the HOLY SPIRIT had given commandments unto the apostles whom HE had chosen: To whom also HE showed HIMSELF alive after HIS passion [crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection] by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of GOD: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the FATHER, which, saith HE, ye have heard of ME. For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT not many days hence.”

“But you shall receive power, after that the HOLY SPIRIT is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

“And when HE had spoken these things, while they beheld, HE was taken up; and a cloud received HIM out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward Heaven as HE went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, You men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into Heaven? this same JESUS, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen HIM go into Heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a Sabbath day’s journey [half a day; the Sabbath begins when the sun goes down on Friday, and ends on Saturday when the sun goes down6]” (Acts 1:8-12).

The Bible tells of the envious devil setting up his oppressive government here on earth in these last days, just before JESUS comes back to earth again.7 This is the very government that you are experiencing today. Do you feel oppressed? Do you see the cruelty, the unfairness, the oppression from every side? It is from the chief oppressor, the devil.8

The devil knows he has only a few more hours to oppress the people on earth. Revelation 12:12b says, “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he has but a short time [before he and all who follow him shall be cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone to be tormented there without ceasing, both day and night].”9

“And the great dragon was cast out [of Heaven], that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which [by his church, government, and media] deceives the whole world: he was cast out [of Heaven] into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our GOD, and the power of HIS CHRIST: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our GOD day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the LAMB, and by the WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” (Revelation 12:9-11).

The prophet Daniel spoke of the devil’s world government cult in Rome, and media, describing this oppressor as being “dreadful and terrible, and strong [to oppress] exceedingly; [I saw the same vision that] it had great iron teeth [like triangles]: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was different from all the beasts [worldly kingdoms] that were before it” (Daniel 7:7). Today’s beast, one world government, is the very last world government (Daniel 7:23). The next kingdom is the kingdom of GOD, which will soon arrive!10

Proverbs 3:31-32 says, “Envy not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but HIS secret is with the righteous.”

The devil has finally figured out that it is the end of the line for him. His time is up. He is going to the Lake of Fire with his evil angels, and with all who follow them.11 So in futile retaliation, in an envious rage, he thinks he will hurt GOD by his attempt to change the LAWS of GOD.12 Abortion is okay, he says. Murder is just fine. Homosexuality is just fine, and you dare not say anything about this or he will call it a hate crime. The devil’s government also says Christianity is offensive. GOD is offensive? GOD is evil, and evil is good?13 Right, Satan! The devil knows his time is short. It is also short for all of you who believe him rather than GOD. The devil’s supposed-to-be Supreme Court says it’s okay to lie.14 They did you proud, devil. It won’t be long now till you shall be standing before the LORD JESUS, and we who are with HIM will see you being flung into the worst place in the universe.

You in your envy said, “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the MOST HIGH. Yet thou shalt be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see you shall narrowly look upon you, and consider you, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?” (Isaiah 14:14-17).

All one has to do to have the same power as JESUS does is simply obey HIM.15 JESUS is saying that as far as humanity goes, HE is like you and me, with the exception that HE was begotten by the HOLY SPIRIT in HIS virgin mother.16 HE says in John 14:10-12, “Believest thou not that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME? the WORDS that I speak unto you I speak not of MYSELF: but the FATHER that dwelleth in ME, HE does the works. Believe ME that I am in the FATHER, and the FATHER in ME: or else believe ME for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on ME, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto MY FATHER.”

Do you believe these WORDS of the FATHER in JESUS? Hebrews 6:17-20 tells you why you must: “Wherein GOD, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise [us] the immutability of HIS counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was IMPOSSIBLE for GOD to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope [that is laid] set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which enters into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even JESUS, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”

So it cannot be a lie! We, as heirs, share eternity and power with JESUS!17 The devil doesn’t want to share anything with GOD-JESUS; he wants to be the boss. This is also impossible! It is the Lake of Fire for him, his angels, and all those who follow him. What about you? Do you want Heaven or Hell? If you want Heaven, then say this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Diligently study the King James Version Bible, and do what it says until the day you die13

Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
