JESUS “showed HIMSELF alive [to the apostles whom HE had chosen. This HE did] after HIS PASSION [HIS beatings and torture, HIS crucifixion, HIS resurrection, and HIS ascension into Heaven] by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of GOD: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the FATHER [GOD promised them that they would be given divine power from on high1], which, saith HE, ye have heard of ME. For John [the Baptist] truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT not many days from now.2 When they therefore were come together, they asked of HIM, saying, LORD, wilt THOU at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And HE said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the FATHER hath put in HIS own power” (Acts 1:3-7).
JESUS said, “All power is given unto ME in Heaven and in Earth” (Matthew 28:18). HE also said, “I and MY FATHER are one” (John 10:30). JESUS said that HE is in the FATHER and the FATHER is in HIM.3
JESUS is “EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, GOD with us,”4 “the FIRST and the LAST,”5 “the FULNESS of the GODHEAD BODILY,”6 the “I AM” (Exodus 3:13-14).
JESUS knew and knows all things.7 However, HE told the disciples, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the FATHER hath put in HIS OWN POWER” (Acts 1:7). The book of Mark states, “But of that day [of the LORD’S return] and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither the SON, but the FATHER” (Mark 13:32).
The ministry of the apostles was to preach “the kingdom of Heaven,” not to tell people when CHRIST will restore the kingdom to Israel (Matthew 10:7). Many Jews living during the time of JESUS stumbled at this. They believed when the MESSIAH came to earth, HE would overthrow their oppressive Roman rulers, that HE would reign forever over the entire earth, and there would instantly be world peace. They didn’t expect GOD to appear as a common man, to be a suffering MESSIAH that would be crucified as a criminal for the forgiveness of their sins. Yet the Scriptures prophesy many times of both. The truth of this paradox is revealed to all seekers of the truth.
The Prophet Isaiah lived about 700 years before JESUS. Chapter 53 of Isaiah prophesies: “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For HE shall grow up before HIM as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: HE hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see HIM, there is no beauty that we should desire HIM. HE is despised and rejected of men; a MAN of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from HIM; HE was despised, and we esteemed HIM not.
“Surely HE hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem HIM stricken, smitten of GOD, and afflicted. But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM; and with HIS stripes we are healed.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on HIM the iniquity of us all. HE was oppressed, and HE was afflicted, yet HE opened not HIS mouth: HE is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so HE openeth not HIS mouth.
“HE was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare HIS generation? for HE was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of MY people was HE stricken. And HE made HIS grave with the wicked, and with the rich in HIS death; because HE had done no violence, neither was any deceit in HIS mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM; HE hath put HIM to grief: when THOU shalt make HIS soul an offering for sin, HE shall see HIS seed [HIS children that HE would save], HE shall prolong HIS days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in HIS hand.
“HE shall see of the travail of HIS soul, and shall be satisfied: by HIS knowledge shall MY righteous SERVANT justify many; for HE shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide HIM a portion with the great, and HE shall divide the spoil with the strong; because HE hath poured out HIS soul unto death: and HE was numbered with the transgressors; and HE bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors” (Isaiah chapter 53).
“Behold, MY SERVANT shall deal prudently, HE shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonished at THEE; HIS visage was so marred more than any man, and HIS form more than the sons of men: So shall HE sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at HIM: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider” (Isaiah 52:13-15).
The MESSIAH fulfilled the prophecies which foretold of GOD bringing salvation to the Jews and becoming a saving light to the Gentiles who would seek HIM.8 HE will soon triumphantly return, as KING of kings and LORD of lords, and fulfill every single prophecy that foretold of HIM.
The Apostle Paul spoke of his people, the Jews: “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in CHRIST. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it [the heart] shall turn to the LORD, the veil shall be taken away” (2 Corinthians 3:14-16).
The LORD will have mercy on HIS people who still have not discerned who HE is: “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the SPIRIT of power and of supplications: and they shall look upon ME whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for HIM, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for HIM, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn” (Zechariah 12:10).
However, the Apostle Paul tells us that all Israel is NOT Israel. True Israel is those who believe GOD’S MESSIAH, whose name is YESHUA, JESUS!9 YESHUA means salvation. When JESUS restores the kingdom to the true Israel, HE will come back to earth. When HE does come back, ALL will know it!
Revelation 1:7-8 says, “Behold, HE cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see HIM [even those who were born blind or lost their sight], and they also which pierced HIM [those who physically pierced HIM at HIS crucifixion, or blasphemed and pierced HIM with their blaspheming tongues]: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of HIM. Even so, Amen. I am ALPHA and OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the ENDING, saith the LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY.”
JESUS said, “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the SON of MAN be” (Matthew 24:27).
JESUS told HIS disciples, “But you shall receive power [to continue in the ministry, through persecution, tribulations, trials, slanders, betrayals, prosecutions, prisons, robbery, kidnapping of children, separations from loved ones—every stormy trial. And when the world sees this mighty power on you (the HOLY SPIRIT power)], after that the HOLY SPIRIT is come upon you: [then, and only then] you shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). After this, JESUS ascended in a cloud into Heaven.
The LORD came into this world to save sinners and deliver us all from the bondage of the devil, to show us how to get ready for Heaven, to teach us how to purify ourselves and remain holy, and to show us how to be filled with the power of GOD. HIS power enters us when we repent of our sins, ask JESUS to cleanse us by the blood HE shed for us, and become born again. Then we are instructed to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.10 Witnesses for CHRIST can never be SPIRIT-led unless we are filled with HIS powerful HOLY SPIRIT baptism.
The Catholics believe salvation is by water baptism, but according to the WORD of GOD, this is not true and is completely false!11 This is why most of them have no spiritual power, and why they don’t have salvation, eternal life. JESUS said, and still says, “You MUST be born again [of the SPIRIT]” (John 3:7), be baptized in water, then be filled with the power, the BAPTISM of the HOLY SPIRIT and the WORD of GOD, to be prepared to overcome the world’s and the ministry’s trials.
You must also read the SPIRIT, which is the Bible, the WORD of GOD, each and every day, if you want to be spiritually strong, and approved by GOD.12 “Study to show thyself approved unto GOD, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH” (2 Timothy 2:15).
Walking with the LORD will be the most rewarding thing you could ever do—not just for yourself, but for those in the world that you will bring hope, joy, and eternal life to through the gospel of JESUS, the MESSIAH.

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
