GREAT TRIBULATION

The first part of a vision I received from the LORD was both glorious and mysterious. Although I was young in the LORD, I was spiritually and physically strong. I saw a very steep mountain and walked briskly up it with ease. The sky was blue, and it was a beautiful, peaceful summer day. (I wrote an entire message about this vision titled Difficult Mountain.)
At first, I was the only one in the vision, but the vision widened and I saw my wife, Susie, who was ill, quite a way behind me, walking very slowly with her arms at her side. I turned back to help her. When I reached her, I put my right arm around her waist, and both of us proceeded up the mountain. Then suddenly, everything turned gray, then black. Fierce winds began blowing against us. They came down from the top of the mountain. Then the vision became very dark, and it was very hard to climb. Every so often there was a gray spot for less than a second where I could see us really struggling as we continued up this very steep mountain. Two or three times I was pushing Susie; I could see that I was worn out because I was on one knee.
I was quite young in the LORD at that time, and I wasn’t aware of the meaning of the vision, but I was sure very hard times were going to come. I knew that GOD had a very special call on my life because I was being whipped into shape very quickly. I had so many supernatural experiences, visions, dreams, signs, and wonders. There were jealous, ungodly churches attacking us and imitating our television program. There were attacks from federal and state government agencies, local sheriffs’ and police departments, the media, and false brethren betrayers, and there were satanic manifestations of many other kinds.
Susie was able to teach me about these spiritual attacks. She had many supernatural experiences during her life. She had seen JESUS when she was a little girl and was healed from tuberculosis when the hand of the LORD reached down to her on her deathbed. She was the wisest person I’ve ever known, and the godliest. She also was a reporter at one time with the Los Angeles Examiner newspaper, and she worked for the Paul Coats TV program. Susie and I were married for seventeen years until her death. During her sickness, every demon in Hell and in the air was attacking both of us, until the day she died. The attacks have intensified against me since she went to be with the LORD.
One night before the service began at our Los Angeles church, I was outside. It was a beautiful night. There was no breeze. The weather was perfect. The LORD spoke to me as I was admiring a huge, old oak tree on the church property. GOD told me, “You’re going to have to be hundreds of millions of times stronger than that tree.” I said, “How could that be? I would be happy to be as strong as that tree.”
I went inside. The church was packed. Behind the pulpit, I relayed exactly what the LORD told me. Everybody laughed. At that moment, there was a huge crash outside, and the church building shook like an earthquake. Several people looked out of the windows, then looked at me and said, “It’s the tree!” It had fallen and was completely uprooted.
Why would I have to be hundreds of millions of times stronger than that tree? It’s because the tree, unknown to me, was dead! We must be spiritually alert and alive, walking in constant communication with the source of all life found only in GOD, and pressing onward.
I’m so glad and thankful that GOD gave me a wife who really knew GOD, the ways of GOD, and how the ministry works. GOD has warned me many times that we would go through tribulation, and in the last days, the “great tribulation.”1
“And as HE [JESUS] sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world? And JESUS answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am CHRIST; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for MY name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:3-22).
JESUS never said HE would take us out of the tribulations, but HE did say that immediately after the tribulation, HE would return. JESUS stated, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days [the last days] shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the SON of MAN in Heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the SON of MAN coming in the clouds of Heaven [in HIS glorified, translated human body, the glorified same human body that died on the cross, was buried, resurrected, and ascended] with power and great glory. And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:29-31).
In the book of Acts, the Apostles traveled, “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we [real Christians] must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of GOD” (Acts 14:22). “Yea, and all that will live godly in CHRIST JESUS shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12).
When preachers, pastors, deacons, and witnesses don’t teach their people about tribulations to come, they will never prepare themselves for it. They will fall away from the LORD in shock when tribulations come to pass. GOD wants you to believe the gospel so that you may enter Heaven. Nothing is to be eliminated.2
JESUS said in John 16:32-33: “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave ME alone: and yet I am not alone, because the FATHER is with ME. These things I have spoken unto you, that in ME ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” The LORD told us, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).
Romans 5:3-5 states, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of GOD is shed abroad in our hearts by the HOLY SPIRIT which is given unto us.” Romans 8:35-39 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of CHRIST? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For THY sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD, which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD.”
“Blessed be GOD, even the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of mercies, and the GOD of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of GOD” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). The Apostle Paul stated, “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation” (2 Corinthians 7:4). “And ye shall be hated of all men for MY name’s sake: but HE that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Mark 13:13).
Revelation 7:13-14 states, “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the LAMB.”
As for those who are members of the Antichrist world government and the Great Whore (the Vatican’s false prophet, the entire false religious system) and the voice of the beast through the media,3 “Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds” (Revelation 2:22).
One night I was sitting on my bed, and Susie was sleeping. The room was pitch black. A stick of vapor formed in the air. It was around three feet high and made a hissing sound when it entered the room. It was about five feet from the floor. It began hissing again and formed itself into an oval-shaped mirror with a gold frame. In the mirror was the LORD JESUS sitting on a beautiful purple velvet throne with gold trim. The LORD was extremely handsome. I thought HE was going to take me to Heaven, but HE put HIS hand out and said, “Not yet.” It was extremely disappointing. HE was talking to me, but it was in spurts and was not intelligible. HE was letting me know that I wasn’t hearing HIS voice clearly by seeking HIM through reading HIS WORD. It was a warning. If we don’t seek HIS face and study HIS WORD diligently, we won’t have knowledge of HIM and we will perish.4 “MY people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of ME]: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to ME: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy GOD, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6). This made me read the Bible and really know the LORD who is the WORD of GOD.5
You can personally know HIM too. Don’t listen to the false prophets. Read the WORD of GOD for yourself. The Bible records the Ten Commandments that were written on tablets of stone by the finger of GOD HIMSELF.6 There are many other laws that HE commands us to keep. The LORD JESUS said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till Heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” (Matthew 5:17-18).
JESUS also taught, “Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:37-40).
We must admit that all of us have sinned. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD” (Romans 3:23). The law of sacrifices for sin in the Old Testament was a foreshadow of the true and only sacrifice for our sins.7 It was GOD’S perfect plan to send the SON of GOD to earth, born as a man, to be the perfect sacrifice in our stead, if we accept it.8 JESUS never sinned, yet HE was mercilessly beaten and crucified.9 HE fulfilled over three hundred prophecies in the Old Testament. As witnessed by over five hundred people, HE rose from the dead after three days and now sits at the right hand of the FATHER as our advocate.10 This is for all that have repented of their former sins, and walk in holiness after making JESUS the LORD of their lives.
JESUS said: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD” (John 3:3). You must have a spiritual rebirth so your sins can be forgiven and you will escape the eternal torments of Hell awaiting all those who die with sin on their souls. Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
