The WORD of GOD is one of the names of JESUS in Heaven and on earth.1 HE is also the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily.2 In the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament, when GOD speaks, HE is to be obeyed if one expects to enter Heaven at the end of their temporal life. Only the obedient will live eternally in the kingdom of Heaven.3
King Saul disobeyed GOD’S command and lost his position as king and his soul. The Prophet Samuel was commanded by GOD to tell Saul, “Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft [even churches are often infiltrated with rebellious witches], and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the WORD of the LORD, HE hath also rejected thee from being king” (1 Samuel 15:22-23). GOD took away Saul’s rulership over Israel and gave it to David because of disobedience.4
In the New Testament, the angel Gabriel spoke to Mary. “Therefore the LORD HIMSELF shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a SON, and shall call HIS name IMMANUEL. Butter and honey shall HE eat, that HE may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good” (Isaiah 7:14-15). Mary believed his message that she, though a virgin, would conceive a son by the HOLY SPIRIT.5 GOD would be in HIM. HE would be GOD-MAN, GOD in the flesh, yet with all the limitations of man, because HE is also the SON of MAN. HE was fully human like us in every way, yet HE never sinned.6
JESUS was called IMMANUEL, which means GOD with us!7 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a SON is given: and the government shall be upon HIS shoulder: and HIS name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELLOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE” (Isaiah 9:6). During the earthly ministry of JESUS, everywhere HE went, HE healed the sick, delivered those oppressed by demons, and raised the dead.8
“Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When JESUS saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, HE saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered HIM, SIR, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me. JESUS said unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath” (John 5:2-9).
When the CREATOR speaks, all creation must obey. Sickness, disease, all curses, infirmities of all kinds, the devil, all evil spirits, the sun, the moon, the stars, the wind, the waves, you and I—everything—must obey GOD.9
“The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the Sabbath day: it is not lawful for you to carry your bed. He answered them, HE that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up your bed, and walk. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? And he that was healed didn’t know who it was: for JESUS had conveyed HIMSELF away, a multitude being in that place” (John 5:10-13). Although HE is GOD, HE walked this earth as a natural man who used the authority and power that the FATHER gave HIM, and now gives to all believers today.10
Later, JESUS found the man “in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, you are made whole: sin no more [JESUS is not like those who say we can continue to sin and still go to Heaven! NO! HE SAYS SIN NO MORE, or you will not enter into Heaven, but you will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire11], SIN NO MORE, lest a worse thing come unto thee” (John 5:14). What would that be? I know! In a vision, I saw Hell full of great multitudes of shocked, terror-stricken, and hopeless people. They were full of dread, regret, and great anguish, knowing they were lost forever! The eternal WORD of GOD says no sin will enter Heaven.12 There are no exceptions.
“The man departed, and told the Jews that it was JESUS, which had made him whole. And therefore did the Jews persecute JESUS, and sought to slay HIM, because HE had done these things on the Sabbath day. But JESUS answered them, MY FATHER works [on the Sabbath], and [when HE works] I work [for MY FATHER tells ME what to do]. Therefore the Jews sought the more to murder HIM, because HE not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that GOD was HIS FATHER, making HIMSELF equal with GOD” (John 5:15-18).
“Then answered JESUS and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The SON [the human part of ME] can do nothing of HIMSELF, but what HE sees the FATHER do: for what things soever HE does, these also does the SON likewise. For the FATHER loves the SON, and HE shows [ME] all things that [HE] HIMSELF does: and HE will show HIM greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the FATHER raises up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the SON quickeneth whom HE will. For the FATHER judgeth no man, but has committed all judgment unto the SON” (John 5:19-22).
JESUS is the WORD of GOD made flesh (John 1:1, 14), and everyone and everything shall be judged by the WORD of GOD, the Bible.13 If you read the Bible, you can see clearly why and how you will be judged on the Day of Judgment! Then you choose where you will spend eternity by how you live your life.
“That all men should honour the SON, even as they honour the FATHER. He that honoureth not the SON honoureth not the FATHER which hath sent HIM. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth MY WORD [receives it], and believes on HIM that sent ME, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life…they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil [by not walking in the SPIRIT of GOD], unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:23-24, 29).
Believe the WORD of GOD and live in obedience to what the LORD says. “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16). JESUS said, “I am the door: by ME if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief [the devil] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth HIS life for the sheep” (John 10:9-11).
JESUS fulfilled over three hundred specific prophecies in the Old Testament that prove HE is the MESSIAH who came to earth as a man and fulfilled the will of the FATHER by willingly laying down HIS life for us.14 At thirty-three years old, HE took the most severe beatings that could never be imagined to provide healing for all that need it and claim it by faith.15
As prophesied in the book of Isaiah, “HE is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from HIM; HE was despised, and we esteemed HIM not. Surely HE hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem HIM stricken, smitten of GOD, and afflicted. But HE was wounded for our transgressions, HE was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon HIM; and with HIS stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:3-5).
JESUS was the LAMB of GOD slain on a cross for us. HE took the sins of all humanity upon HIMSELF and shed HIS sinless blood to gain forgiveness for us. JESUS said that we must be born again spiritually to attain Heaven as our eternal home. HE said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD…. Except a man be born of water and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD” (John 3:3, 5). We must be renewed and restored to communion with GOD through the blood of JESUS, which is the only thing that has the power to cleanse us of all our sins.
The book of Revelation states, “And I saw a great white throne, and HIM that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before GOD; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:11-15).
Your name can be written in the Book of Life if you will repent of your sins and turn away from a fruitless life of sin. Surrender to the LORD who died for you. Make HIM your LORD today. Start now by saying this prayer:

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
