KING SOLOMON’S PRAYER FOR TODAY

Written in 2013

aka Bernie Hoffman

At the dedication of the temple (in Jerusalem, Israel), King Solomon prayed, and when he prayed to GOD, he said, “When THY people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against THEE, and shall turn again to THEE, and confess THY name, and pray, and make supplication unto THEE in this house: Then hear THOU in Heaven, and forgive the sin of THY people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which THOU gave unto their fathers.1

“When Heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against THEE; if they pray toward this place [Solomon’s temple], and confess THY name, and turn from their sin, when THOU afflictest them: Then hear THOU in Heaven, and forgive the sin of THY servants, and of THY people Israel, that THOU teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon THY land, which THOU HAST given to THY people for an inheritance. If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence [sickness, disease], blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be; What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all THY people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house: Then hear THOU in Heaven THY dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart THOU KNOWEST; (for THOU, even THOU only, KNOWEST the hearts of all the children of men;) That they may fear THEE all the days that they live in the land which THOU gavest unto our fathers.

“Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of THY people Israel, but comes out of a far country for THY name’s sake; (For they shall hear of THY great name, and of THY strong hand, and of THY stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house [the temple]; Hear THOU in Heaven THY dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to THEE for: that all people of the earth may know THY name, to fear THEE, as do THY people Israel;2 and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by THY name.

“If THY people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever THOU shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which THOU hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for THY name: Then hear THOU in Heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. If they sin against THEE, (for there is no man [at that time] that sinneth not [After we are saved, we walk in the SPIRIT and do not sin.]), and THOU be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near; Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto THEE in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; And so return unto THEE with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto THEE toward their land, which THOU gavest unto their fathers, the city which THOU hast chosen, and the house which I have built for THY name: Then hear THOU their prayer and their supplication in Heaven THY dwelling place, and maintain their cause, And forgive THY people that have sinned against THEE, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against THEE, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them: For they be THY people, and THINE inheritance, which THOU brought forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron: That THINE eyes may be open unto the supplication of THY servant, and unto the supplication of THY people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto THEE. For THOU did separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be THINE inheritance, as THOU spake by the hand of Moses THY servant, when THOU broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD GOD.

“And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to Heaven” (1 Kings 8:33-54).

I believe, if Solomon were here today, he would encourage everyone to pray this way daily, because many signs of the times show us that the return of JESUS CHRIST is near.3 This is the time to draw closer to GOD than ever before! It is not time to fall away with those who have made up their minds to go to Hell and the Lake of Fire to be tormented with horrible suffering forever and ever.4

After the dedication of the temple, the LORD appeared to King Solomon at night and said: “I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to MYSELF for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among MY people; If MY people, which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek MY face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:12-14).

This promise is for all who claim it. Now is the time to repent with all your heart and turn away from all sin in your life. Now is the time for the whole world to wake up before it’s too late.

The WORD of GOD has given those who decide to give their lives to the LORD and follow HIM many exceedingly great and precious promises (2 Peter 1:3-4). JESUS promises: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in Heaven” (Luke 10:19-20).

When you ask the SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST to wash away your sins by the sinless blood HE shed on the cross for you, HE will do it! When you ask HIM to come into your heart and dwell within you by HIS HOLY SPIRIT, HE will do it! JESUS stated, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of GOD.… Except a man be born of water and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD” (John 3:3-5). You must have a spiritual rebirth and accept the blood sacrifice of JESUS to be forgiven of all sin in order to gain eternal life.5

JESUS is the WORD of GOD.6 HIS WORD is everlasting and will never return void. “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall MY WORD be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11).

Keep yourself in prayer and in the Bible.7 Walk in holiness.8 GOD will give you the power to do it.9 You will never walk alone again.10

If you don’t know JESUS CHRIST as your SAVIOR, if you haven’t been born again yet, don’t delay or reject this extraordinary gift from GOD. Begin your new life in CHRIST now by saying this prayer to GOD:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
