THE SECRET PLACE OF PEACE

by Tony Alamo

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for Thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety [and confident trust]” (Psalm 4:8).

Some people’s lives are too high-strung and filled with far too many emotional distresses, feelings, vain ideas and imaginations. Their lives are an emotional mess. However, if our eyes, minds, and hearts are fixed on the Lord with confidence, we will understand that the Word of God is not a lie or a poem, but the Word of God (faith in the ability of Christ) is the only truth, and it really works.1 If your mind, heart, and soul are fixed on Him, His ability, then you have found the secret place of the Lord, the secret place of the Most High. People don’t have to let their emotions control them; they can learn to dwell in the secret place of the Most High, which is to live in the Holy Spirit always (rest, sabbath in Jesus), to trust Christ to live His life in you completely.2

The perfect instruction from the Word of the Most High is, “He that dwelleth in the secret place [the Holy Spirit] of the Most High [shall not be emotional, but stable in the faith of, not you, but Christ] shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1). “And he shall be [fixed] like a tree planted by the rivers of water [in the faith of Christ! (Galatians 2:20)], that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither [he shall never die, shall live forever]; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” (Psalm 1:3). Why? It’s because all that he does is coming from the eternal Lord. He studies God’s Word, the KJV Bible, and seeks Him by praying to Him constantly for direction and everything.3 This is the secret place of the Most High. The secret from God is to let Christ have control over your life, for you to allow Christ to have total control from the Father, the Most High, over every minute of your life every day. It must be.

It takes our constant attention to live in faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit, stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty, whose almighty power the enemy cannot withstand.4 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I [completely] trust” (Psalm 91:2). This is why we must dwell in that SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH, where we actually experience the presence, the peace, the healing, and the stability of Him.5

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow Jesus for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God in Christ on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the Word says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God bless and reward you abundantly.

Yours in the wonderful name of Jesus,
Pastor Tony Alamo
