SEEK GOD AND HE WILL BE FOUND BY YOU, BUT IF YOU FORSAKE HIM, HE WILL FORSAKE YOU
(2 CHRONICLES 15:1-2)

“And the SPIRIT of GOD came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with HIM; and if ye seek HIM, HE will be found of you; but if ye forsake HIM, HE will forsake you” (2 Chronicles 15:1-2).

The true GOD is not anybody’s fool. If you turn your back on HIM, HE will turn HIS back on you! “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry” (1 Samuel 15:23). If you live in disobedience to HIM, this is like the sin of witchcraft to GOD. HE will not allow you to enter Heaven.1

Many people put men, women, children or possessions before GOD instead of trusting in HIM, and making the LORD GOD first in their lives. This is the sin of idolatry.2

CHRIST JESUS says in Luke 14:26, “If any man come to ME, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be MY disciple.”3 JESUS said, “He that loveth father or mother more than ME is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME” (Matthew 10:37-38).

The LORD JESUS promised those who keep HIS commandments that HE will never leave them or forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).4 HE said, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20).

However, if you leave HIM or forsake HIM, you are the one that left HIM, and you are the one that forsook HIM, and you will lose everything! JESUS stated, “Whosoever will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for MY sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:34-37).

When you study the whole Bible, it’s easy to see that the LORD has not changed HIS WORD, HIS policy, HIS covenants, or HIS standard. When anyone repents of their sins and makes JESUS the LORD of their life, HE sends HIMSELF through the HOLY SPIRIT to live in them, so HE may give them HIS strength and godly desires to do what HE commands. As we walk in obedience to the LORD, HE will give us the desires of our hearts, when HE knows we mean business with HIM.

If you’re not going to trust the LORD’S ability and serve HIM with all your heart, you don’t deserve any of HIS blessings, and you don’t deserve to be in the house of GOD, or the kingdom of Heaven. You really don’t deserve children either, because you would only raise your children to believe that something in the world is more important than GOD, the LORD who created us, and is more important than going to Heaven for eternity.

If your children are your idols and you live a secular, ungodly life, you open the door for Satan to turn the hearts of your children away from you. This will leave them without the godly foundation we are commanded to diligently teach our children.5 They must be trained up in the ways of the LORD in their youth, or it will be easy for Satan to trick, manipulate, and use them. They must have the WORD of GOD in their hearts as we must. As they themselves seek the LORD, HE will be found by them (Jeremiah 29:12-14).

Second Chronicles 15:1-19 states, “And the SPIRIT of GOD came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with HIM; and if ye seek HIM, HE will be found of you; but if ye forsake HIM, HE will forsake you. Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true GOD, and without a teaching priest [Jewish, not Catholic], and without law. But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD GOD of Israel, and sought HIM, HE was found of them. And in those times, there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries [as it is today]. And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for GOD did vex them with all adversity [as HE is doing today]. Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak [in faith]: for your work shall be rewarded.

“And when Asa [king of Judah] heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the LORD his GOD was with him.

“So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. And they offered unto the LORD the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep. And they entered into a covenant [amidst all their vexations] to seek the LORD GOD of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the LORD GOD of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought HIM with their whole desire; and HE was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about. [When they committed to seek the LORD with all their hearts, the LORD blessed them with peace.]

“And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove [The king put GOD before his mother and was blessed.]: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron. But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days. And he brought into the house of GOD the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels. And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.”

In contrast, we see the example of King Rehoboam: “And it came to pass, when Rehoboam [king of Israel] had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him. And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD” (2 Chronicles 12:1-2). Many fenced cities were taken by their enemies. When Israel forsook the LORD, HIS protection was no longer with them and they could not stand against the invading armies.

“Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken ME, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak” (2 Chronicles 12:5).

But, “When [King Rehoboam] humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that HE would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well. So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put HIS name there. … And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD” (2 Chronicles 12:12-14).

So we must prepare our hearts to seek the LORD wholeheartedly if we want to live under the blessings and protection of the LORD. Do not neglect to make time for regular, daily prayer in your life and with your family.

Never doubt GOD and believe that the worldwide antichrist government is stronger than the LORD. Let us serve the LORD and be blessed. Trust HIM and you will be directed and protected by HIM.6 GOD promises blessings if we serve HIM and trust HIM, and we are cursed if we serve man and trust man instead of GOD. Again, GOD says, “Forsake ME and I will forsake you!” James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to GOD, and HE will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

JESUS said, Repent; deny yourselves.7 “Thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick [thy church] out of his place, except thou repent” (Revelation 2:4-5).

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love HIM” (1 Corinthians 2:9). JESUS proved that HE loves us by willingly laying down HIS life so we could have eternal life.8 HE was beaten beyond recognition for our healing.9 JESUS was crucified, though innocent, and HIS sinless blood was shed as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. What great mercy GOD has shown toward us, even while we were living in great darkness and sin! But now you know. You know the LORD has made a way of escape for you. You have no excuse to reject HIS salvation made available to you now.

If you accept this great offer of love from GOD, you will be given exceeding great and precious promises.10 True peace, joy, friendship with the GOD of the universe, eternal life in Heaven, and so much more can be yours.

One of the promises JESUS gives to HIS followers is, “Behold, I give unto you power [authority] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). The devoted servants of GOD are given this authority over all evil and darkness in this world. You will no longer be a victim. You will be a victor!

The LORD will be found by you as you seek HIM. Seeking GOD is as easy as breathing. Start now, and make JESUS the LORD of your life with this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
