SUSAN ALAMO’S WEDDING DRESS

by
Tony Alamo

Before Susie and I were first married, she told me of a vision she had years ago. The vision was that she was preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to millions of people while wearing a beautiful wedding dress. She told me that the people she was preaching to were all sitting in a green, grassy amphitheater.

At that time, this annoyed me a lot. Preaching the gospel to millions of people in a wedding dress seemed wrong or unscriptural to me at the time, and the more she talked about it, the more annoyed I would be. Women who preach the gospel just don’t wear wedding dresses, especially the kind of wedding dress she was telling me about. She didn’t think it to be strange, an embarrassing thing to do. I didn’t tell her what my thoughts were about it at the time. I respected her too much because I knew that she was one of God’s favorite people.

When the Bible says, “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34), that means, no matter who people are, if they sin, they’re going to Hell, and no matter what status you have in life, if you’re born again of the Spirit and you keep the commandments, you’re going to Heaven. “God is no respecter of persons” in that regard (Acts 10:34). This doesn’t mean that God has no favorites. Enoch, Elijah, Moses, David, and Joseph were all favorites of the Lord; the prophets, the apostles, and those today who are led by the Lord are also his favorites. Susie was a highly esteemed favorite of the Lord. The two witnesses of God in the eleventh chapter of Revelation are favorites of God. He allows them to be killed, to be raised from the dead in three and a half days, as Jesus was, and to be raised into Heaven in a cloud, as Jesus was when the voice of God told them, “Come up hither” (Rev. 11:12).

It was hard for me to visualize Susie preaching the Gospel to the whole world in a wedding dress, a “bride’s gown.” At this time, I was a young Christian. I believed then that if all the other women preachers in the world never did this, it should not be done. At the time, I thought she was just wishing, and to this date, with the exception of me telling about it, no one else has ever seen or heard of such a thing. Nevertheless, I found out that the vision she saw was most definitely from God.

After this literature, you may see many female preachers start wearing wedding dresses. Nevertheless, it will not happen for them. This message from God was not meant for them, but for one special person, and that person is Susan Alamo. God gave that incredibly supernatural vision to her and to her alone.

I told Susie, “Maybe the Lord was showing you that you are part of the body or bride of Christ.”1 Sue answered me, saying, “I know that we are the bride of Christ. We are members of the true Church, the bride of Christ, as mentioned in the 21st chapter of the book of Revelation, but that wasn’t it, Tony. The Lord was showing me that I was actually going to preach the gospel to millions of people in a beautiful white wedding dress.” She said, “The neck of the dress went clear up to underneath my chin, and it was lace, and it frilled around the top. The sleeves were form fitting, and there were frills around the wrist.” She described this wedding dress very vividly on a few occasions.

She spoke of this vision a few times before we were first married, around forty-two years ago. The first time she talked joyfully of it off and on for a whole week. The first time she told me the vision, I watched her eyes sparkle, and her face had a sheen to it like the face of an angel. I could see that she was recalling what she had seen and that it made her extremely happy. She asked me if I would like to go with her shopping to see if we could find a wedding dress like the one God showed her.

At that time she and I were living in our separate apartments in Hollywood because God, at that time, had not yet shown us that we were to be married. Susan was the one who was reading the Bible to me, teaching me the entire spectrum of the carnal and spiritual worlds, the things to do and not do, the things to say and not say. She taught me the rights and wrongs of all the different “Christian” denominations. She also taught me all about the many phases of missions such as “wino missions” and other missions that at one time used to be scripturally good and today are nothing more than sleepovers, soup lines, and thrift stores. She told me of the many denominations that were good and have fallen away from the Lord. She taught me the entire scope of the world system, the entire scope of the criminal element both inside the government and outside the government, and taught me about the deceived people in the media and those in the media that know exactly what they are doing. She taught me from God’s Word who “ THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS ” is (Rev. 17:5), who the “beast” is (Rev. 17:3), and who the mouth of Satan is (Rev. 13:5). She taught me how the political system operates, how the criminal system operates, about the judicial system and how corrupt it is, and much more. God and Susie also told me what the judgment will be for all the above mentioned corrupt antichrists.

Down through the years, I’ve seen that everything that God and Susie have told me is true. After my forty-two years in the ministry, I’ve experienced all of these things. I’ve seen it for myself. It’s all very true. There are so many things that I’ve learned from God, Susan, and personal experience, so much that it would take many volumes to tell even one small portion of it all. God, with many millions of His angels, is constantly in action, going through the innumerable with many millions of details and experiences in an attempt to bring people to the knowledge of salvation for their own good. I am today what God and Susie, along with my studies and my experiences, have made me to be, and that is “A SERVANT OF GOD.” There’s much more to salvation than the sinner understands! Much more than what the false prophets teach!

I agreed to go with her to see if we could find this dress, this exact wedding dress, primarily as a courtesy, thinking, “Why, and what for? I don’t really believe anything will come of it.” Secretly I was hoping she wouldn’t find the exact wedding dress because I would be embarrassed to be around her in a mission, in a church, on television, or anywhere else she would be wearing a wedding dress preaching the Gospel. In downtown Los Angeles, she intently looked through every kind of wedding dress imaginable, but she told me that none of them were the dress. I secretly praised and thanked the Lord that we didn’t find the dress.

When you see a vision, it is extremely vivid, and God puts the emphasis in the vision on what He wants you to remember. Nobody, especially men, really pay that much attention to a dress or a wedding dress to remember the details the way Susie did, and it seemed to me that she was emphasizing them so much. Secretly, it annoyed me greatly because I never paid any attention whatsoever to wedding dresses or, for that matter, to any women’s clothing. Again, this just isn’t something unsaved men, or even men who are ministers, do. At the time, we were not married. I thought if we were together, a lot of people would think we were married and it would be embarrassing to try to explain the situation. I said, “Sue, wouldn’t people think it odd for anyone to be preaching the gospel in a wedding dress?” She answered me with a little anger in her voice, saying, “Tony, I am just telling you what the Lord showed me in the vision.”

Again, a few days before God told us by visions that we were to be married to each other, Sue asked me with great enthusiasm, “Tony, would you go with me to look for the wedding dress that God showed me in the vision?” She was so excited. I asked her if she remembered what it looked like, and she said, “Yes, I know exactly what it looks like. It’s all white. It’s a full length dress, all the way from the neck clear down to the floor. It has a high, sheer neck. It goes up under the chin with lace ruffles all around at the top. At the top of the shoulders, it balloons out a little bit. The sleeves are tight all the way down to the wrist, and they are sheer with lace ruffles at the wrist.”

I, like most men, hate shopping, but I was very fascinated with Susie. I loved her godliness, her zeal, her sweetness, her intelligence, her angelic chasteness, and her love for God. In fact, I loved her. I never let her know it, though. I told her I would go with her. While we traveled from one store to the next in downtown Los Angeles, I cautiously prayed to God. “Lord, I know certainly I don’t deserve anything, especially salvation. You placed me with a teacher, an angel who knows You so well and the gospel so well. Lord, don’t be angry when I ask this petition for myself. Would it be too much if I asked You for her to be my precious wife? And, if we find that wedding dress, wherever it is, could you have her be married to me in it, if it be Your will?”

While I was praying this prayer, I thought it was ridiculous for me to ask such a thing from the Lord because of the things I did before Iwas saved. I was so young in the Lord at that time that I didn’t realize fully how all my sins were washed away in the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He would never judge me for them again if I continued on in the Lord till the end, until I die.2

Susie was so enthusiastic, so beautiful, and so very childlike, even though she was nine years older than me. She was born April 25, 1925, and I was born September 20, 1934. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and I was born in Joplin, Missouri. Again, we never found Susie’s dress that day. But a few days later, God showed both of us by visions that we were to be married to each other.3 In the seventeen years that we were married, we never looked for or spoke of that wedding dress again. We were always too busy winning souls, building housing, churches, schools, cafeterias, recreation facilities, etc., and building all types of things for the people who lived at the church facilities to look, seek, think, or even talk of Sue’s wedding dress again.

After seventeen years of marriage, our fight against the terminal cancer that Susie had for most of those years was over. She died April 8, 1982, at a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her death was the biggest tragedy in my entire life. In my grief, not only was I faced with running the entire church myself, but despite my grief, I was not given any time to mourn for her.

I was immediately called into trial on a Department of Labor case. The Department of Labor wanted me to write payroll checks to anyone who would join the church. But again, by the government adding up all the benefits that the people received in the church, the ruling was that I was paying the people five or ten times more in benefits than was required by the minimum wage scale. As long as we all shared the benefits that the Lord says we should, no one lacked anything (Acts 4:35). The book of Acts states, “The multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common…Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need” (Acts 4:32, 34-35).

At the time of Susie’s death, I was also faced with having to find something suitable for Susie to wear for her burial. I looked through Susie’s wardrobe, but nothing in it was at all suitable for her funeral and burial. All that she had was everyday clothing and the wardrobe that she wore on her television program, which consisted of bright and lively colors and was not at all appropriate for anyone’s funeral. Susie and I had a couple of friends in Fort Smith, Arkansas, who owned a wig shop. I called them and asked Susie’s friend if she would fix Susie’s hair and do her makeup, because she’d fixed Susie’s hair quite a bit and knew the way Susie made herself up. I also asked if she would help me find something decent and suitable for Susie to wear on the day of her funeral. She said, “Oh, yes, Tony. I feel very honored that you would ask me to do this for Susan.”

She, her husband, and I drove to Tulsa, and we went to a department store there. Susie was in the funeral home in Tulsa being embalmed. We looked for one or two hours, and we couldn’t find anything that would be suitable. Finally, as we were walking through a section in the store that had gowns and things like that, I saw a lot of lace dresses hanging to the right of me in some extra tall wooden closet-type alcoves. I told Susie’s friend, “Look over there. Can you see if one of those would do? They look dignified and suitable.” She said, “Yes, they do. Let me take a look.” She looked at them and said, “Those are wedding dresses.” We went to Susie’s size, and Susie’s friend pulled one out. Both of us agreed that it would be very suitable. I told her, “Well, why not a wedding dress? Susie, like every other member of the body of Christ, is married to Jesus.”4 Susie’s friend said, “Yes, Tony, you’re right. I don’t know why not, either.” I felt that her taste was very good, and it’s hard to tell what a dress looks like on a hanger, except that the material looked heavenly, pure, white, and elegant. I bought the dress and took it, along with some other things such as shoes, to the funeral home. Some of the sisters from the church were there for the purpose of dressing Susie while Susie’s friend did her makeup and fixed her hair.

I gave them the dress and started to walk into the place where Susie was. The Lord stopped me. I heard Him audibly say, “Not yet. She’s not ready.” So I decided to sit down in the lobby until she was ready.

While I was sitting on a couch in the lobby, I heard Susie’s voice saying, “I’m pretty, Daddy.” I stood up and began praising and thanking the Lord with my arms raised. I choked up. I’m not a weeper, but my eyes filled with tears and I began from my heart praising and thanking the Lord for allowing me to hear her voice again. I said, “You’re the most beautiful woman in the world, and I love you.” At this same moment, the voices of the ones who were dressing Susie told me, “She’s ready for you to see now. She’s beautiful.” I already knew that because Sue told me, “I’m pretty, Daddy.” So I went right in to where she was, and she was very beautiful, more beautiful than anyone in the world. She looked like she did in the vision that I had of her at the time the Lord showed us that we were to be married.

Then tremendous fear and guilt hit me like a bolt of lightning. It was the Holy Spirit opening my mind, causing me to remember the things Susie told me about her wedding dress, the very same wedding dress she was wearing in her casket. She saw the wedding dress in her vision, and I was seeing it before my very eyes. Everything about the dress was exactly the same as she had told me.

I was filled with fear and guilt for not believing the things God’s prophet had told me. God was showing me how sinful it is for people to not believe His prophets. Words cannot express how guilty and ashamed of myself I was and still am to this day for doubting Susie’s vision, for thinking she was a little off the beam, and for my being so carnally, stupidly, unspiritually critical and opinionated about this deep, Godly vision that was sent to her from Heaven by God Himself, which I was now seeing before my very eyes.

My mind went back to the clothing store where I casually pointed to a row of gowns without much hope that one of them would work. It was Susie’s friend who casually took one off the rack when she found one in Susie’s size, and I casually had stated that it looked fine.

Again, looking at the dress Susie was wearing, the exact dress of her vision, caused so much fear and conviction to come down upon me that I actually thought God would take my life for doubting her. In reality, I was doubting God’s vision. The Bible reads, “He that believeth…shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16). I don’t want to be damned. I want to go to Heaven. “The fear of [God’s Word, that it’s true] is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:10).5 And “The fear of the Lord, that is wisdom” (Job 28:28). God told Moses that those who don’t fear Him will not serve Him, and those who don’t serve the Lord shall spend eternity in the lake of fire (Deut. 4:10, 31:12).6

We had several parcels of property that equaled between 120-240 acres on a place called Georgia Ridge—beautiful-view lots, high above Dyer, Arkansas, overlooking the Arkansas River. Many of the Christians in the church lived there in beautiful homes that Susie and I built for them. There was a chapel, a cafeteria where everyone ate, an office, and a recreational area with a larger-than-Olympic-size swimming pool for the children to swim in. In the same area of the swimming pool, there was a little valley on top of Georgia Ridge, which surrounded a five acre pond and a little old cabin that the children played in. Up by the swimming pool, you could look down, and the area below looked like a natural amphitheater, a place where Susie could tell thousands of people about salvation, the Kingdom of Heaven, God, Jesus, the prophets, the apostles, Heaven and Hell, the works of God, the works of Satan here on earth, about false prophets, false Christs, how to have God’s life living in you, how to have the power of God living in you, how to be led by the Holy Spirit, how to separate yourself in this world from evil, and that we can have victory over all things. This is not to say that we won’t suffer persecution, trials, and tribulations, but that through them we will have the victory in Jesus, our Lord and Savior, King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Alpha, the Omega, the beginning and the end of all things.7

Suddenly all the visions, dreams, signs, and wonders that had been given to us from the Lord regarding the great ministry of the two witnesses in chapter eleven of the book of Revelation, which God promised to us, instantly came back to my mind, my heart, and my soul. This was because Sue had never preached in that wedding dress before. Yet that prophecy from God stated that she would preach the gospel to the people throughout the world in the very last days in that same wedding dress. God wants you to know we are living in the very last days, the very last moments of time.

We’re at the end of time (Rev. Ch. 10). God has shown me the way by which the 144,000 Jews will be saved just before the wrath of God, mentioned in the eighth chapter of the book of Revelation, shall begin destroying the world because of sin. I’m doing everything in this world that the Lord is telling me to do, and all the evil powers in this present world are attempting to put a stop to God’s working both in and through me to bring about the salvation of the 144,000 Jews. I come against you, Satan, in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. You have no power to hinder God, and what He has said He will do, He will do. Everything God said would happen has happened and will continue happening. If you “fear God, and keep His commandments,” which is the whole duty of man (Eccl. 12:13), then I’m sure that you will remember these things and keep yourself holy.

In visions and in dreams, Susie has appeared in her wedding dress to over one hundred people that I know of. Only she and God know how many more have seen her.

During the trial in Memphis, where I was railroaded into prison on false charges, one of the people, who years before had lived at our church, started running towards me with his fist doubled up to hit me as I was walking into the courtroom. His face and his eyes were filled with hatred, but in less than a second they were suddenly filled with fear as he jumped backwards, as if he had seen a ghost. After I had served my time in prison, he called me, and at the end of our conversation I asked him about it. I told him, “At my trial in Memphis, I saw you running at me with your fists doubled up, and then you looked very frightened and jumped back quickly. What was that all about?” He said, “Susie appeared in front of me and put her hand out and said, ‘No.’ She was wearing a wedding dress.” I told him that I knew something supernatural had happened to him. I thought that the Lord or an angel had appeared in front of him, telling him to back off. He said, “No, it was Susie.” It was Susie telling him, “NO!”

Dear reader, why don’t you seek the Lord? The Psalmist David told his son, Solomon, “If you seek [God], He will be found of you” (II Chron. 15:2). Solomon did seek God, and He was found of him. The same promise is given to you and everyone else, especially the Jews, because God has placed a veil of blindness for 2,000 years over the eyes of much of the entire Jewish race for their rejection of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. At that time God, to provoke the Jews to jealousy (Rom. 11:11), turned to the Gentiles. The Gentiles have had the gospel for 2,000 years, and now the masses of them are backslidden. So God, in these last days, is turning to the Jews. The Gentile dispensation of time ended in 1947/1948, when the Jews returned to their home - land, as the prophets said would happen in the very last days, just before the Messiah comes back to earth for the second and last time. This is an incredible, supernatural sign to the people of the world as to how close we are to the end of time. Now God is turning back to the children of Israel. We, the children of Israel, are called to the front as 144,000 John the Baptists to “Prepare…the way of the Lord, [making] His paths straight,” His Word straight (Luke 3:4). God, in His mercy, is sending us because of the false prophets and their false doctrines. We hate the false doctrines that many of the Gentiles are preaching today, and God hates them too.

If people are going to spend eternity in Heaven, they must accept Christ (the Scriptures8 ) and believe the Bible the way it was given to us, the way it is. The Apostle Peter stated, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation” (II Pet. 1:20). In other words, no one will enter the Kingdom of Heaven by making the Word of God what they want it to be. It has to be as God says it is. Chapter seven of Revelation tells of how there are four angels holding back the destruction of the world. Then another angel begins ascending, and tells these four angels not to hurt the earth or the sea until the seal of God’s mark is in the heads of the 144,000 Jews. That is happening right now. As soon as the last of the 144,000 are saved, God will begin pouring out wrath on this earth as He has never done before. (Read chapters 7, 8, and 9 of Revelation.)

Our church and other churches are very busy bringing about the salvation of these 144,000 Jews. Brace yourselves. You must prepare yourselves for this, because immediately after the tribulations, Christ will bring such fear upon the wicked that they shall hide “themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains: and [say] to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb [the Lord Jesus Christ]” (Rev. 6:15-16). Are you ready to meet the Lord, or are you one of the very many that shall be running for the rocks and mountains to fall on you and hide you from the wrath of the Lamb of God, Jesus, the Messiah, the Savior of the world to those who receive Him?

Don’t gamble with your soul any longer, wasting your time and God’s time, and don’t waste the eternity that is prepared for you in Heaven. If you think this world is bad, so bad that you have to find many temporary escape methods, such as music, sex, drugs, and alcohol, what good will that do you during the coming of Christ when you could have come to the Lord, letting Him give you the power which is far more powerful than drugs, alcohol, sex, music, motion pictures, and all that is in this world?

As God told Ezekiel, “As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead” (Ezek. 3:9). This means not to let the things of this world turn you to the left or to the right. Get saved and witness the things of God to the world, or all the sins of the world will be placed on you. If you will do as I say, and tell the people of the world what I say, you will be saved. If you refuse, you will be damned. This is true prophecy. These are the true words of God. God threatens everyone in this manner.

The world is nothing more than “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” (I John 2:16), but to come to the Lord is true living, and true living for eternity in Heaven. To reject it is to spend an eternity in Hell and the lake of fire with Satan, his evil angels, and all those who reject the mercy of God’s love, which is salvation. If you think that the world is treacherous, Hell and the lake of fire9 are so treacherous that the human tongue has no words to describe them.10

So accept the work of the Lord with the Lord, and put all the things away that will damn your soul to Hell. If we can get enough finances in here, we can evangelize the whole world quickly. Don’t wait any longer, because we never know one minute to the next when we’re going to drop dead. We have no promise that we’ll live five minutes from now, but we do have a promise that we will die, and after death will come the judgment (Heb. 9:27). How horrible to stand before the Lord if you’re an unrepentant sinner! Give not your life to the world, but give your life to the Lord right now, this very instant, by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
