THE DOOR
(THE GATES)

“The secret of the LORD is with them that fear HIM; and HE will show them HIS covenant” (Psalm 25:14).1 When you fear GOD and keep HIS commandments, you will see and experience the blessings of HIS promises.2 King David of Israel put his trust in the LORD and said, “Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for HE shall pluck my feet out of the net [the trap set for him by his enemies]” (Psalm 25:15).

Before Moses died and the people of Israel crossed the Jordan river to enter the Promised Land, Moses told them, “And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy GOD require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy GOD, to walk in all HIS ways, and to love HIM, and to serve the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and HIS statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13).

“And unto man HE said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding” (Job 28:28).

A few of GOD’S promises to us are: “Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear HIM, upon them that hope in HIS mercy” (Psalm 33:18).

“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear HIM, and delivereth them” (Psalm 34:7).

“But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear HIM, and HIS righteousness unto children’s children” (Psalm 103:17).

“And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not ME, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:5).

The book of Proverbs states, “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death” (Proverbs 14:27). “By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil” (Proverbs 16:6). “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honor, and life” (Proverbs 22:4).

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates [the gates or doors of your seeking minds and reasoning hearts; open your gates to receive instruction from GOD]; and be ye lift up [Wake up!], ye everlasting doors [the entryway, the doors of your hearts where the LORD’S SPIRIT, HIS WORD, enters into you]; and the KING of GLORY shall come in. Who is this KING of GLORY? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. [Wake up!] Lift up your heads [open your heart, open the gate to your spirit], O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors [where eternity, eternal life, enters]; and the KING of GLORY shall come in [into your soul]. Who is this KING of GLORY? The LORD of HOSTS, HE is the KING of GLORY. Selah” (Psalm 24:7-10).3

The MESSIAH, the LORD JESUS, is the WORD of GOD. “In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD.… And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the FATHER,) full of grace [power] and truth” (John 1:1, 14).

The book of Revelation says, “And I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and HE that sat upon him was called FAITHFUL and TRUE, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war. HIS eyes were as a flame of fire, and on HIS head were many crowns; and HE had a name written, that no man knew, but HE HIMSELF. And HE was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and HIS name is called The WORD of GOD” (Revelation 19:11-13).

Don’t let the WORD of the LORD just slip or sneak through the everlasting gates of your spirit and soul. Let GOD’S WORD rush into your heart as a river of life and make sure it stays there through reading the WORD daily.4 Never let it go out of the gates except when you’re witnessing (sharing the WORD of GOD with others).

All believers have the duty to preach the gospel and bring souls to the knowledge of the WORD of GOD.5 JESUS said, “If ye abide in ME, and MY WORDS abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is MY FATHER glorified, that ye bear much fruit [bring souls to salvation]; so shall ye be MY disciples” (John 15:7-8).

The last recorded WORDS of the LORD JESUS after HIS resurrection and before HE ascended back to HIS FATHER in Heaven were, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19-20).

The book of Mark states, “HE said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the LORD had spoken unto them, HE was received up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of GOD” (Mark 16:15-19).

The WORD of the LORD is your very eternal life.6 The WORD is the gate to the kingdom of Heaven. JESUS said, “It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are SPIRIT, and they are life” (John 6:63). “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth MY WORD, and believeth on HIM that sent ME, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (John 5:24). “Now ye are clean through [receiving] the WORD which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3).

The book of Proverbs states, “Wisdom crieth without [outside your heart, trying to show you to consider your soul; GOD is attempting to enter your heart and spirit with wisdom, which is the fear of the LORD7]; she [wisdom] uttereth her voice [HIS WORD] in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates [of peoples’ souls—whosoever has an open heart, an open door or gate to their spirit, to let wisdom, the WORD of GOD, come rushing in like a flood]: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

“Turn you at MY reproof: behold, I will pour out MY SPIRIT unto you, I will make known MY WORDS unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out MY hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all MY counsel [MY WORD], and would none of MY reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. [It is inevitable that all these things shall befall them when they are dying, because they don’t pay attention to the LORD’S offer of mercy while they are alive.]8

“Then shall they call upon ME, but I will not answer; they shall seek ME early, but they shall not find ME: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of MY counsel: they despised all MY reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto ME shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Proverbs 1:20-33).

JESUS tells us, “He that believeth on the SON hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the SON shall not see life; but the wrath of GOD abideth on him” (John 3:36).

The LORD said through the prophet Isaiah, “Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure” (Isaiah 33:6). Hide the fear of the LORD in your heart and always treasure it.

JESUS said, “I AM THE DOOR [to Heaven]: by ME if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:9). When Thomas said to JESUS, “How can we know the way?” JESUS said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the FATHER, but by ME” (John 14:5-6).

As the flood in the time of Noah destroyed all flesh (except for eight people) by the water under the firmament,9 so also does the HOLY SPIRIT, which is above the firmament, mortify or destroy the lustful desires of the flesh when you surrender your life to HIM. That is, it kills all desire to sin in the flesh. You become focused on the LORD, and become dead to the flesh and self, by spiritually disciplining yourself and denying the desires of the flesh with the help of the HOLY SPIRIT who dwells within the believers.10

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the SPIRIT, if so be that the SPIRIT of GOD dwell in you. Now if any man have not the SPIRIT of CHRIST, he is none of HIS. And if CHRIST be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the SPIRIT is life because of righteousness. But if the SPIRIT of HIM that raised up JESUS from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up CHRIST from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS SPIRIT that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the SPIRIT do MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the SPIRIT of GOD, they are the sons of GOD” (Romans 8:9-14).

So open your heart now, open the gates, the door of your heart, and let the LORD of GLORY come into you to give you HIS eternal life! Receive forgiveness of all your former sins through the sinless blood sacrifice of JESUS. Turn your life over to GOD and make JESUS your LORD. Time is running out. You must be spiritually born again (John 3:3-8). Start your new spiritual life in GOD now by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
