THE LAMB OF GOD

JESUS CHRIST is the only true sin-bearer of the world (to all those who repent of their sins).1 The gospel of John states, “The next day John [the baptizer] seeth JESUS coming unto him, and saith, Behold the LAMB of GOD, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). “And looking upon JESUS as HE walked, he saith, Behold the LAMB of GOD!” (John 1:36)
Seven hundred years before the birth of JESUS, the prophet Isaiah prophesied, “HE was oppressed, and HE was afflicted, yet HE opened not HIS mouth: HE is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so HE openeth not HIS mouth. HE was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare HIS generation? for HE was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of MY people was HE stricken” (Isaiah 53:7-8). JESUS was the only perfect man who ever walked the earth. HIS sinless blood that was shed is the only acceptable atonement for the sins of the world.2
In the Old Testament, lambs and young rams were an important representation of the ANOINTED ONE, CHRIST, in the daily sacrifice.
“And he shall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of the first year [no more than one year old] without blemish for a burnt offering [a symbol of CHRIST’S future death for the forgiveness of our sins], and one ewe [female] lamb of the first year without blemish [sinless like CHRIST] for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings, And a basket of unleavened bread [leaven represents impurities or sin], cakes of fine flour mingled with oil [symbolic of the HOLY SPIRIT], and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings” (Numbers 6:14-15).
JESUS CHRIST, who is the WORD of GOD,3 is also the unleavened bread of life. JESUS said, “He that believeth on ME hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from Heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from Heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is MY flesh, which I will give for the life of the world” (John 6:47-51).
“LAMB of GOD” is a correct term used to describe CHRIST as the only sin-bearer for the sins of the world. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by HIM do believe in GOD, that raised HIM up from the dead, and gave HIM glory; that your faith and hope might be in GOD” (1 Peter 1:18-21).
In this passage above, CHRIST is likened to a sacrificial lamb on account of HIS death, innocently and patiently endured, to atone for the sins of the world. “Lamb” was a term used early on to describe the redemption to be brought by the long-awaited MESSIAH (Isaiah 53:7).
In the last days which we are in, the world system will set itself up as savior and god, professing to solve the world’s problems, but in reality, it is nothing more than a rank imitation (the Antichrist). “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the LAMB slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8).
This false prophet is described in scripture as “another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” (Revelation 13:11).
This demonic attempt to replace GOD was Satan’s desire when he was in Heaven. “How art thou fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of GOD: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the MOST HIGH. Yet thou shalt be brought down to Hell, to the sides of the pit” (Isaiah 14:12-15).
After Satan and his followers are cast into Hell and the Lake of Fire, only then will there be true, lasting peace. Revelation 22:1 says “And HE showed me a pure river of water [living water—the HOLY SPIRIT] of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of GOD and of the LAMB” (not the false lamb). “And there shall be no more curse [because everyone there does not doubt even one word of GOD]: but the throne of GOD and of the LAMB shall be in it; and HIS servants shall serve HIM [not the false god, the Antichrist]” (Revelation 22:3).
The term “marriage of the LAMB,” mentioned in Revelation 19:7-9, speaks of the union of CHRIST and HIS faithful and obedient church members (only those who are spotless from sin, obedient to HIS WORD—HIS commandments, and serve HIM).4 Faith without works is dead. “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works [without doing what GOD says to do] is dead?” (James 2:20)
JESUS said, “He that hath MY commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth ME: and he that loveth ME shall be loved of MY FATHER, and I will love him, and will manifest MYSELF to him” (John 14:21). What is it that the LORD requires HIS children to do? JESUS said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without ME ye can do nothing. ...Herein is MY FATHER glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be MY disciples” (John 15:5, 8). Bringing the wonderful news of forgiveness of sins and a blessed life with GOD here and for all eternity to all the world is our duty.5
Some of the worst of the many false prophets JESUS warned us about are those which tell you that you can live a life of sin and disobedience after you have been saved and still go to Heaven. This is patently false.6 The LORD says, “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the SON abideth ever” (John 8:34-35). “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD” (Hebrews 12:14). “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the LAMB’S book of life” (Revelation 21:27).
As for those who write antichrist government Bibles which tell you that the government’s secular rulers are GOD’S rulers—please don’t believe them for your own soul’s sake. The LORD’S rulers are HIS ministers (Romans 13:1-6). JESUS said, “Ye are MY friends if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:14).
The Apostle James says you are not a Christian just because you say there is one GOD, and that you believe all of HIS words. “Thou believest that there is one GOD; thou doest well [James sarcastically says]: the devils also believe, and tremble” (James 2:19). James also says, “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works [as CHRIST commands]: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works” (James 2:18). JESUS said we will be judged by HIS WORD on Judgment Day according to the works we have done (Revelation 20:12).7
For those who are part-time Christians, the LORD says, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of MY mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of ME gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear MY voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with ME. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with ME in MY throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with MY FATHER in HIS throne” (Revelation 3:15-21).
Again, “the marriage of the LAMB” is the union of JESUS CHRIST and HIS church. HIS second coming to earth is to destroy HIS enemies, cast out satanic power, set up the long-awaited kingdom of spiritual Israel and bring HIS bride, the spotless church, to the place HE promised to prepare for us.8
“And I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and HE that sat upon him was called FAITHFUL and TRUE, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war. HIS eyes were as a flame of fire, and on HIS head were many crowns; and HE had a name written, that no man knew, but HE HIMSELF. And HE was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and HIS name is called The WORD of GOD. And the armies which were in Heaven followed HIM upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of HIS mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it HE should smite the nations: and HE shall rule them with a rod of iron: and HE treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD.
“And HE hath on HIS vesture and on HIS thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great GOD; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against HIM that sat on the horse, and against HIS army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of HIM that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of HIS mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh” (Revelation 19:11-21).
In Revelation 5:6, John saw a LAMB “standing as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven SPIRITS of GOD sent forth into all the earth.” CHRIST, invested with the attributes of GOD (because HE is GOD), omnipotent and omniscient, shares the universal empire which HE, “the WORD of GOD,” created.9 HE shed HIS blood for whosoever will come to HIM to repent and turn from their sins. HE will wash every sin away by HIS blood. Accept this greatest of all gifts now.
“Therefore if any man be in CHRIST, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of GOD, who hath reconciled us to HIMSELF by JESUS CHRIST, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that GOD was in CHRIST, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for CHRIST, as though GOD did beseech you by us: we pray you in CHRIST’S stead, be ye reconciled to GOD. For HE hath made HIM to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM” (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
Although the physical body of flesh will die, the soul is eternal and will dwell in one of two places for all eternity. The WORD of GOD clearly tells us that we choose where we will spend eternity. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
We must decide either to walk on the wide path to the torments and everlasting fire of Hell or commit to making JESUS, the LAMB of GOD, our LORD for the rest of our lives. If we follow the LORD wholeheartedly to the end, we will be greatly rewarded with paradise in the kingdom of Heaven forever. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love HIM” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
