WHY AREN’T YOU BLESSED?

Many people in the world can’t understand why they seem to be cursed. They can’t understand why GOD is not blessing them, or why GOD refuses to answer their prayers. Ever since sin entered the world through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, Satan succeeded in causing curses upon mankind. In the paradise of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had everything including daily communion with GOD.1 They had one restriction: “And the LORD GOD commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17). Satan convinced Eve, and Eve persuaded Adam to disobey, and they ate the fruit (Genesis 3:6).
Their disobedience to GOD brought consequences upon us all. “Unto the woman [GOD] said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam HE said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3:16-19).
Adam and Eve were driven out of the Garden of Eden for good.2 They would have lived forever, but now death would eventually end every human’s life. The effortless supply of food was gone, and Adam had to work for their food as we do to this day.
Before we had the WORD of GOD written and translated for all to read in the Bible, men still had their consciences to direct them in what was good and evil. GOD “will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with GOD. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before GOD, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)” (Romans 2:6-15).
GOD gave the law to the Jewish nation including the Ten Commandments and the oral and written law to guide them. But the devil always creates a deceptive counterfeit for what GOD has made. Man-made religions, inspired by Satan, have deceived much of humanity throughout the ages. The way to blessings and communion with GOD is not through these.
The devil has sold some a bill of goods, telling them that the Bible has changed throughout the years and cannot be trusted, although it has been supernaturally preserved and has been verified to be accurate through several discovered ancient copies.3 Those who believe what the devil says rather than what GOD says will never be blessed. The Bible instructs us to give NO place to Satan.4
Mankind has struggled with knowing what is right, and yet being unable to overcome temptations. Therefore, GOD had a plan: “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which MY covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put MY law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their GOD, and they shall be MY people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know ME, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jeremiah 31:31-34). This new covenant promise from GOD of HIS power living within us is now available for everyone! (Ephesians 2:11-22). First John 4:4 states “Greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.” We can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens us!5
GOD has not changed.6 HE is “the same yesterday, and today, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8). GOD stated that HE would deliver the Jews from seven nations mightier than themselves, but they would have to keep all of HIS commandments (Deuteronomy 7:1).7 They were commanded to make no league or covenant with any of the other nations, or allow intermarriages with them (Deuteronomy 7:2-4). You may ask why. Believers are not to marry unbelievers that will pull them away from GOD. Christians are not to marry non-Christians.
Second Corinthians 6:14-17 states, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath CHRIST with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of GOD with idols? for ye are the temple of the living GOD; as GOD hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their GOD, and they shall be MY people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the LORD, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
The laws of sacrifice have been done away with since the true sacrifice of JESUS on the cross has been accomplished.8 But the moral laws are the same in the New Testament as in the Old! In Matthew 5:17, JESUS said, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” JESUS fulfilled over three hundred prophecies from the Old Testament.
As a matter of fact, JESUS makes the law more intense in the New Testament (the Beatitudes). HE says in Matthew 5:28, “...whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” And if you hate your brother without a cause, you have also committed murder in your heart (Matthew 5:21-22). This is stronger than the law in the Old Testament, so don’t say that the New Testament has done away with the law. If you say this, you are a liar.
Today, the world government is attempting to homogenize religions, or in other words, to make one government-controlled religion out of all false religions. The problem is that they throw the WORD of GOD in with all of that riff-raff. They disguise their motive by saying they are doing this to homogenize the races, that is, to make blacks, whites, Asians, and all races as one through interracial marriages. Again, this is not the case. They are doing it to eliminate Christianity. Christianity is salvation, Satan’s worst nightmare.9 Religion is from the devil, but salvation is from the LORD.10
If a person doesn’t have the HOLY SPIRIT permanently dwelling within, it is impossible for them to keep the law. Therefore, it is impossible for them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.11 But when a person becomes born again of the SPIRIT, and the SPIRIT of GOD is constantly living in them, they are more than able to keep the law of the SPIRIT of life in CHRIST JESUS.12 Not by power, and not by the might of a mighty army, but by MY SPIRIT, saith the LORD (Zechariah 4:6). Doing the will of GOD and all godly things are accomplished by GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT.
Galatians 3:27-29 states, “For as many of you as have been baptized into CHRIST have put on CHRIST. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in CHRIST JESUS. And if ye be CHRIST’S, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
Deuteronomy 7:9-20 states, “Know therefore that the LORD thy GOD, HE is GOD, the faithful GOD, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love HIM and keep HIS commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate HIM to their face, to destroy them: HE will not be slack to him that hateth HIM, HE will repay him to his face. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
“Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy GOD shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which HE sware unto thy fathers: And HE will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: HE will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which HE sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy GOD shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
“If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy GOD did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy GOD brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy GOD do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid. Moreover the LORD thy GOD will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.” Deuteronomy 7:21 adds, “Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy GOD is among you, a mighty GOD and terrible.”
So the merciful GOD, who knows the end from the beginning, made a way for us to be blessed and live in communion with HIM again. Read the Bible so that you can know why things are not good in your life.13 See if you line up with the WORD of GOD. If you don’t, then turn from your sin, repent. Begin following the LORD, who is the WORD of GOD.14 In this way, you will be able to correct yourself and become blessed with all of GOD’S children.
JESUS says, “Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).
“For HE is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in HIMSELF of twain one new man, so making peace; …For through HIM we both have access by one SPIRIT unto the FATHER” (Ephesians 2:14-15, 18).
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the SPIRIT. For the law of the SPIRIT of life in CHRIST JESUS hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2).
First of all, you must be born again of the SPIRIT of GOD. JESUS said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.… Except a man be born of water and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD” (John 3:3, 5). Then abide in HIM constantly, as HE abides in you constantly (John 15:4-7). Start your life of blessings, and become a son or a daughter of GOD by saying this prayer:
Prayer
My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13
CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
