WHY ARE SO MANY SOULS IN HELL?

by Tony Alamo
aka Bernie Hoffman

I’ve wondered through the years why so many people’s souls are presently in Hell. I became spiritually aware of the vast number of them at the time of my salvation. I had visions of Heaven and visions of Hell. The LORD recently made me again aware of the fact, bringing it back to my remembrance. Because of it, I wrote another piece of literature called “My Vision of Hell,” which tells of at least a billion souls in Hell and, more likely, billions more. As I said, I heard them, and I could spiritually feel in my soul, or my spirit, their most incredible gloom and hopeless despair, which is permanent. It is hard to realize anything can be so permanent because in this world, nothing even comes close to the permanency of Heaven, of Hell, or of the Lake of Fire.1

But I firmly believe, after having been in the ministry since 1964, that many individuals are in Hell because of the “Christian ministries.” They obviously are ashamed of JESUS and HIS WORD (HE is GOD’S WORD, the WORD of GOD!2). Billions have never heard of Hell, and it is never taught in a vivid enough spiritual manner to convince people to give sin up so they might avoid going there.3 In Mark 8:38, JESUS says, “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of ME and of MY words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the SON of man be ashamed, when HE cometh in the glory of HIS FATHER with the holy angels.”

Mark 8:34-37 says, “And when HE [JESUS] had called the people unto HIM with HIS disciples also, HE said unto them, Whosoever will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME [in speech and in deed4]. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for MY sake and the gospel’s [the WORD], the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Some people are too ashamed of the LORD and HIS WORD to explain Hell to people. Well, you might say it is because “people don’t want to hear about it.” But JESUS wants them to hear about it anyway. We are to obey JESUS, not people! They need to hear about it before they find themselves in the confines of Hell forever, before they hear the roaring at the approach of condemned souls, and before they are forever agitated by the flames and the other souls in Hell or by the impure breath of evil, unclean spirits. Then they will come to the realization, when it’s too late, when they are experiencing the pain, the misery, the utter frustration, the gloom, the complete lack of rest, the constant work, the very hard labor, the lack of water or any other liquid, and the complete lack of air and food. They will only experience torments beyond thought.5 Don’t be ashamed to explain Hell, or you will spend eternity there!6

And what else in the WORD of GOD might you be ashamed of? Polygamy?7 Marriage at puberty for women?8 Or that the doctrine of “once saved, always saved” is false?9 What of GOD’S WORD are you so ashamed of that you’re willing to spend eternity in Hell or in the Lake of Fire?

How many Christians are you willing to help send to prison or have put to death because they believe GOD and you don’t? The envious and the angry will be cast into the abyss. There is a tower and a wall in the evil city, Hell! There will be a rain of fire beyond belief when you get there, but then it’s too late! That’s why so many souls are there! No one had ever convinced them adequately. Many think when they die, there is no more pain, but that’s when the real pain begins. This I’m sure.

The Apostle Paul said: “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also [where the idolaters are]. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of CHRIST: for it is the power of GOD unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of GOD revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

“For the wrath of GOD is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness [such as the scriptures which tell of Hell and the testimonies of those, such as myself, who have much to tell of it because in the Spirit we have seen some of it, felt somewhat of it, and heard the moans and the groans of it]; Because that which may be known of GOD is manifest in them; for GOD hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and GODHEAD; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew GOD, they glorified HIM not as GOD, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible GOD into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
“Wherefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of GOD into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

“For this cause GOD gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge, GOD gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of GOD, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of GOD, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:15-32).

Ministers are not warning the people that those who are doing these things are going to Hell—and Hell is very, very real. I saw it and heard the moans of what sounded like billions of doubters who are there forever. Why would Paul be ashamed to tell people about Hell and tell people not to be homosexuals,10 lesbians, bisexuals, murderers, abortionists, adulterers, fornicators, liars, false witnesses, purveyors of all manner of false doctrine such as: “once saved, always saved,” or not loving the LORD your GOD with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength?11

Hell is so horrible! Look what CHRIST did to make it possible for us not to have to go there.12 JESUS despised the shame of the cross (Hebrews 12:2).13 He did it because He didn’t, and doesn’t, want us to go to Hell. If you don’t repent, you will go to that horrible place—so escape it. Start your initial salvation by saying this prayer to GOD:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
