THE WRATH OF GOD
vs.
THE WRATH OF THE DEVIL

by Tony Alamo

Satan has wrath, and God has wrath as well. Whose wrath is more powerful?1 And whose wrath is inescapable? 2 If the devil is angry and full of wrath because he knows his time is short, you can always call upon God to deliver you, but if God gets angry or His wrath is kindled at you, who can you run to for deliverance? The answer is no one but God!

There are many scriptures describing the wrath of God, but no scripture giving the Christian a reason to fear the devil’s wrath. Zechariah 7:12 speaks of “A great wrath from the Lord of Hosts.” “Your fathers provoked Me to wrath” (Zech. 8:14). “He reserveth wrath for His enemies” (Nah. 1:2). “In the fire of My wrath have I spoken” (Ezek. 38:19). “The fire of My wrath” (Ezek. 21:31), “Because of the wrath of the Lord” (Jer. 50:13), “In that ye provoke Me unto wrath” (Jer. 44:8), “For the fierce wrath of the Lord” (II Chron. 28:11), and “For the wrath of God is revealed” (Rom. 1:18). There are many more references to God’s wrath. “At His wrath the earth shall tremble” (Jer. 10:10). John the Baptist said, “Who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” (Matt. 3:7). There are many, many more scriptures regarding the wrath of God, but people don’t pay any attention to them. 3 Mention one scripture of the wrath of satan and oh, how the wicked people do tremble!

Now the devil was cast out of Heaven by God’s angels! (Isa. 14:12, Luke 10:18, Rev. 12:7-12). This already shows how weak his angels are in comparison to God’s angels, let alone the Almighty God. Revelation 12:7-9 says, “And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon [devil]; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in Heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Even God’s angels are much more powerful than the devil and his fallen angels.

The book of Revelation says this is a joyful time, because the devil and his angels are cast out of Heaven into the earth and God has now elected us, the sons of God, to cast the devil and his angels out of the earth.4 God’s will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven.5

God told us to rule, to continue the work of Jesus till He comes.6 Of course, the devil doesn’t like it because he has bluffed and deceived the whole earth. God’s Word tells us how we are able to cast him out, how to defeat him, just as Michael and his angels did.7 We do it with the instructions from Revelation 12:11: “And they [we] overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by [this Word] the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Now we saints sit with Jesus the Christ in Heavenly places (Eph. 2:6).

“Therefore rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye that dwell in them. [We are in Christ. We are some of the inhabitants of Heaven! But,] Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you [the unsaved, deceived world], having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” (Rev. 12:12).

If we dwell in Heaven with Jesus, the devil is no longer in Heaven. The devil has been cast to earth, but our lives are with Jesus in Heavenly places, so I will not fear what man or the devil can do to me.8 “And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child” (Rev. 12:13).

Again, we are sons of God, and we sit with Jesus in Heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). The Word says we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Rev. 12:11). Our testimony says we win! If you believe the Word of God, then fight!

Why do you think God says to, “Therefore rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye that dwell in them” (Rev. 12:12)? After the devil and his angels were thrown out of Heaven, where we by the Holy Spirit dwell with and in Christ, “I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night” (Rev. 12:10).

The book of Revelation is filled with the wrath of God towards the devil, his angels, and all those who worship any part of the Antichrist, beast system, the false prophet, the devil’s church, his government, and his media. 9 “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of Heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made Heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city [Rome 10], because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication [sins].

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast [today’s anti-Christ government] and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them” (Rev. 14:6-13).

“The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore” (Isa. 57:1-3).

I have seen Jesus with my eyes wide open. I’ve seen Sue and myself, both of us, in Heaven. There wasn’t anything depressing about it! I long to be there. I cannot explain how many billions of times better it is there. It is beyond words. 11 You will not be able to take it all in. Everything is so alive, 12 and every motion people make is so beautiful. Your eyes never get bored looking at details. A person’s eyebrow, eyelids, eyelashes, and hair can keep you focused forever, and then there is still everything else!! Don’t miss it!!

As beautiful as Heaven is, Hell is beyond words to explain how horrible it is. No one can explain or imagine. Receive the Lord’s life now by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You’ve just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow Jesus for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the watery death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God with Christ on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God in Christ on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, submit yourselves one to another and do what the Word says, so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God’s Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.

Yours in the wonderful name of Jesus,

Pastor Tony Alamo
