ATONEMENT

by Tony Alamo

Leviticus 17:10-14: “AND WHATSOEVER MAN THERE BE OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set My face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off [kill him] from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL. Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood. And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off [killed].”

The blood of the incarnation, “God in human flesh,” is the one and only atonement for the sins of the world to those who believe Christ, who is the whole Word of God.1 We are separated because of sins (former sins), but when they have been atoned for by the blood of Christ, we are reconciled to God as long as we continue living a sinless life before God and man.2 It is an exchanged life: we give Christ our sinful life in exchange for His sinless life, our mortal life in exchange for His immortal life.

The atonement is the covering over of sin, the reconciliation between God and man, which was accomplished by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the result of Christ’s sacrificial, sinless life, horrible sufferings, and death, by virtue of which all who exercise correct patience and faith receive forgiveness of all their former sins and obtain continual power to continue to the end, if they continue serving the Lord to the end. Repentance means no more sinning.3 We become new creatures,4 “sons of God,”5 “overcomers.”6

Faith without works is dead.7 There is no kind of work we can do to receive salvation.8 It is the gift of God, but after we receive the free gift, we are commanded to (1) deny ourself (2) take up our cross and follow Christ,9 (3) study the Word to become a workman approved by God.10

Today’s animals have many diseases in their blood as well as steroids and medicines. Eating rare meat is sin. The blood of all animals (clean animals) has been designated as symbols, figures, or types of the true sacrifice, Jesus, our Lord and Savior. The animal sacrifices have ended because Christ came and atoned for us about 2000 years ago. Because of this, we still are forbidden to eat or drink blood. All we need to do now is to be covered with the atoning (covering) blood of Jesus, study His Word, and do what it says. Start now by saying this prayer to God the Father in the name of Jesus:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
