DANIEL’S PRAYER

by Tony Alamo

The great prophet Daniel prophesied of today’s “New World Order,” which is also known as the “One World Government,” which GOD calls the “beast.” It is given its power from that Great Red Dragon called the devil and Satan.1 Daniel also gave us the prophecy of the false prophet, which the Apostle John from CHRIST says (both the false prophet and Satan’s seat) is in the city of the seven mountains. Most people believe this is Rome, Italy (Revelation 17:9).2 Daniel also informs us from GOD as to what day, month, and year GOD would come to earth in the flesh of man as the MESSIAH. He also, by revelation from GOD, tells when the MESSIAH would be murdered for the sins of all of us.3

It is difficult to think that a man like this could ever think of himself to be a sinner in need of repentance, but Daniel is wise. He fears GOD, which is the beginning of WISDOM, and it is WISDOM.4

One of GOD’S commandments is that you may plant seed in the ground six years, but on the seventh year, you are to let the land rest or Sabbath.5 For seventy years the people of Israel never allowed the land to rest, to Sabbath, so for their disobedience, God put all Israel in bondage under King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, in today’s Iran-Iraq area, for seventy years.6

When the Jews were taken into exile, Daniel was very young.7 In this approximately seventy year segment of time, Daniel became curious as to when the time would be up and Israel would be released. He began reading books and seeking the LORD for answers. He began by asking for repentance for Israel and himself. Babylon had been taken from King Belshazzar, who was the son of Nebuchadnezzar. The Medes and the Persians were now in control under King Darius,8 “the son of Ahasuerus, the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; In the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the WORD of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

“And I set my face unto the LORD GOD, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the LORD my GOD, and made my CONFESSION, and said, O LORD, the Great and Dreadful GOD, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love HIM, and to them that keep HIS commandments; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from THY precepts and from THY judgments:

Neither have we hearkened unto THY servants the prophets, which spake in YOUR NAME to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O LORD, righteousness belongs unto YOU, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither YOU have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against YOU. O LORD, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against YOU. To the LORD our GOD belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against HIM; Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our GOD, to walk in HIS laws, which HE set before us by HIS servants the prophets. Yea, all Israel have transgressed YOUR law, even by departing, that they might not obey THY voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against HIM. And HE has confirmed HIS WORDS, which HE spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing against US A GREAT EVIL: for under the whole HEAVEN has not been done as has been done upon Jerusalem. [‘For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of GOD: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of GOD?’ (1 Peter 4:17)] As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our GOD, that we may turn from our iniquities, and understand the truth. Therefore has the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our GOD is righteous in all HIS works which HE does: for we obeyed not HIS VOICE.

“And now, O LORD our GOD, that hast brought YOUR people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and has gotten YOU renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. O LORD, according to all YOUR righteousness, I beseech YOU, let YOUR anger and YOUR fury be turned away from YOUR city Jerusalem, YOUR holy mountain [In other words, let us go back home and rebuild]: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and YOUR people are become a reproach to all that are about us. Now therefore, O our GOD, hear the prayer of YOUR servant, and his supplications, and cause YOUR face to shine upon YOUR sanctuary that is desolate, for the LORD’S sake. O my GOD, incline YOUR ear, and hear; open YOUR eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city that is called by YOUR name: for we do not present our supplications before YOU for our righteousnesses, but for YOUR GREAT mercies. O LORD, hear; O LORD, forgive; O LORD, hearken and do; defer not, for YOUR own sake, O my GOD: for YOUR city and YOUR people are called by YOUR NAME.

“And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my GOD for the Holy mountain [nation] of my GOD; Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill and understanding. At the beginning of your supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to show you; for you art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision [Daniel is now shown when the MESSIAH will be born, and when HE will be murdered for the sins of the world. In Hebrew, a week is seven years. If you’re any kind of a mathematician, you will, by Daniel’s vision and the time of it, you can figure out the time of the MESSIAH (JESUS’ birth and death).] Seventy weeks are determined upon YOUR people and upon YOUR holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the MOST HOLY. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the MESSIAH the PRINCE shall be seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after sixty-two weeks shall MESSIAH be cut off, but not for HIMSELF: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And HE shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week [three and one half years] HE shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease [there have been no animal sacrifices since the death of CHRIST], and for the overspreading of abominations HE shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined [the Lake of Fire] shall be poured upon the desolate” (Daniel Chapter 9)

King Artaxerses gives the command to build and restore Jerusalem in 457 B.C. “Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel. Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time. I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee. Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy GOD which is in thine hand; And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the GOD of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem, And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their GOD which is in Jerusalem: That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your GOD which is in Jerusalem. And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your GOD. The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy GOD, those deliver thou before the GOD of Jerusalem. And whatsoever more shall be needful for the house of thy GOD, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king's treasure house. And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the GOD of Heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily, Unto an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much. Whatsoever is commanded by the GOD of Heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the GOD of Heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

“Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of GOD, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them. And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy GOD, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy GOD; and teach ye them that know them not. And whosoever will not do the law of thy GOD, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment. Blessed be the LORD GOD of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem: And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my GOD was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me” (Ezra 7:11-28).

Go up with JESUS now in repentance of your sins by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11
