DIE LIKE DOGS IN THE STREET

by Tony Alamo

GOD asks you if you will be a channel for HIM to work in and through. Put yourself in GOD’S place. If you were the Creator of all things, would you take it lightly that HIS disciples fled and left HIM alone as HE was dying on the cross? Most people who will be martyrs will die only if someone witnesses their suffering. JESUS died seeing HIS friends flee from the scene.1 But JESUS was not alone. “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave ME alone: and yet I am not alone, because the FATHER is with ME” (John 16:32). The FATHER was with HIM up to the time HE went to the cross. HE became our curse. “CHRIST hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree” (Galatians 3:13). HE was not alone. We were alone until we were regenerated. Now the GODHEAD, the TRINITY, is with us if we hold fast to that which we have been freely given.

“And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth” (Hebrews 11:32-38).

The rain falls on the just and the unjust, the people of CHRIST and the heathen, so all people are going through trials and tribulations, some more than others. “For HE maketh HIS sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matthew 5:45 b). JESUS went through far much more than all of us put together, and did it all for us.

If we are really saved, on this side of eternity we have no certain place to dwell.2 In this world, everything is uncertain. In this world we who are Christians are hated.3 We are, to those who are lost, the scum of the earth, simply because we are Heaven bound! Because our destination is sure, we bear CHRIST’S reproach. “Wherefore JESUS also, that HE might sanctify the people with HIS own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto HIM without the camp, bearing HIS reproach” (Hebrews 13:12-13). In this world we have no city that continues, but seek a continuing city to come. “For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come” (Hebrews 13:14). Let us offer by HIM “the sacrifice of praise to GOD continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to HIS name” (Hebrews 13:15).

Repent of your sins by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Diligently study the KJV Bible, and do what it says.13

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
