Give Me A Cup of Cold Water

by Tony Alamo

Like Simon, we must help JESUS carry the cross.1 “If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow ME” (Luke 9:23b). If we are saved, we are the body of CHRIST, and when we help each other in a time of crisis, we are helping JESUS carry the cross. When one of the members of the church loses a loved one, have had their children or a loved one taken away, or they themselves are being slandered, persecuted, or imprisoned, you could bring them something to eat, like a bowl of soup or stew, bring them a cup of cold water, or help them in many other ways, such as doing their dishes, helping fix up the house, or a million other ways.

All of this is helping JESUS to carry the cross.2 Wiping the sweat from a forehead, or the blood from a beating, or comforting someone during the pangs of death—all these are the blood of JESUS.

When you see somebody you love suffer and die, your heart breaks, and you can’t do anything about it. JESUS did HIS suffering in silence.3 GOD raised JESUS from the dead.4

Did you ever have anyone, out of nowhere, say, “I am your friend—I come with help for you in the name of the LORD”? This is some of the work that the LORD has for us to do. There are many people in worse shape than us! Satan does not want us to help each other in the church or out of the church. However, JESUS will reward you for your compassionate actions.

One of the LORD’S names is the “WORD of GOD,” and how majestic it is! HIS WORD said “Be,” and it was, and now, “It is.” We as Christians have been called to be SPIRITUAL warriors, to fight in WORD and deed against Satan.5 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). We are prayer warriors, committed to tearing down all satanic strongholds and putting them in subjection to GOD. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of CHRIST” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

We were created to be in the presence of the LORD, and to celebrate it. How wonderful to be in the presence of JESUS, and to, with HIM, be in HIS work with HIM!

I seek HIM in whom my soul loves, and now HE is in me.

The mystery of the LORD shows us the mystery of humanity. When the Catholics pray “Hail Mary, full of grace,” they might not know it, but her being full of grace is her being filled with JESUS, who is truth and grace.

Thank you for all you have been doing for JESUS and me!

If you’re not saved, say this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, Jesus said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Diligently study the King James Version Bible, and do what it says.13

If you’d like to serve the LORD, you can do so at our church if you keep the rules.
Then, as JESUS commands, be a soul-winner. You can do this by becoming a distributor of Pastor Alamo’s literature. We print Pastor Alamo’s literature in many languages, and we ship them all over the world. We spend millions of dollars on paper and shipping, so we need your prayers and financial help.

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).

God commands us to correct and discipline our children.14 Marriage is allowed by God at puberty when children become men and women. Forbidding this is the doctrine of devils (1 Timothy 4:1-3). Pastor Alamo is in prison for preaching and doing what the Bible says.
