PROPITIATION

by Tony Alamo

Eve, who was one flesh with Adam,1 her husband, sinned against God. She became Satan’s first evangelist or preacher, thus converting Adam to Satan, who is also the devil. Adam and Eve are one human, as all married unions are, but the man is the head of the woman2 (Gen. 3:16). God said, “Unto the woman...I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband [which means farmer, sower of seed], and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened [listened] unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree [of the knowledge of good and evil], of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Gen. 3:16-19).

Genesis 2:17: “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 5:1-2: “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made He him; Male and female created He them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” (All these things are literal, not symbolic at all.)

God told them (Adam) that they would die if they disobeyed His command3, and they did die4. It doesn’t matter whether or not you believe it or not, everyone has the Adamic sin on their soul, so everyone dies. All have sinned because Adam sinned.5 God is angry with the sin which is on the souls of those who He created.6 God hates every sin stain on every soul.7 Therefore, there is a great wall of separation between God and man.8 The Tri-une God had a council meeting in Heaven after Adam’s sin, and devised a plan to redeem mankind unto God.9 There is only one way to be redeemed to God. It is only through Jesus.10 He is the only door through the wall of partition.11 Jesus said, “I am the door” (John 10:9). (Read also John 10:1-18).

There are several books of Adam and Eve. Some are contaminated. The one I have has two contaminations. If you love the Word of God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, contaminations are very easy to spot.12 They never conflict with or contradict the rest of the Bible.

In the book of Adam and Eve, God told them that in order for the human race to not have to spend eternity in Hell and the lake of fire, He would have to, in the last days (two thousand years ago), come to earth as a man. God, who is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, cannot change His Word.13 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezek. 18:4, 20). “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 6:23). The entire human race was condemned unless God became a man and paid the price of death for all our sins, for the sins of the entire human race, so that those of us who believe on Christ, the Word of God and will never disobey Him again, will have eternal life.14

Propitiation is the God part in the God-Man of Christ, who gave His human life, His body, on the cross.15 I am speaking here of Christ’s death, the shedding of His precious blood for the forgiveness of every one of our former sins. His blood by faith separates us from our (former sins).16 “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us” (Psa. 103:12).

After His propitiation for us, we are to not sin anymore.17 If we willfully sin, there remains no more forgiveness.18 Only sins of ignorance may be propitiated for.19 What a marvelous gift that God has given us through the work of Christ if we believe, repent, and join the community of Christ, where we will live out the book of Acts kind of life and be an example to the lost and the found. The entire population of the world is lost unless they receive the propitiation of Christ, then follow His lifestyle to the end.20 There is no other way to get to Heaven. We cannot please ourselves and God.21 We must choose God rather than ourselves. Jesus commands, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23). “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6).

The position of the entire human race has been changed forever because everyone now has an opportunity to change their destiny if they want to. If people wish, they are more than able to enter God’s blessings. The work that Christ did on the cross has rendered God propitious towards people who are saved, as well as the unsaved, who repent if they have sinned ignorantly. (I John 2:2) God is rendered propitious because Christ, if believed, takes away the sin of the whole world.22

The word “propitious” describes what Jesus became for sinners, even sinners as vile as the Apostle Paul once was (the chief of sinners).23 God has become gracious to give repentant sinners an opportunity to enter Heaven and fellowship with God. So God is now gracious or propitious.24

In the Old Testament, the mercy seat in the holy of holies was a place of propitiation, but with sacrifice (Heb. 9:5). But today by faith in the blood of Christ’s soul cleansing blood, Christ’s work on the cross and His atoning blood has become the mercy seat, and we with our faith in and with Christ do officiate it.

The mercy seat for repentant sinners who repent once and for all is the fountain of life, if, as in the example of the Apostle Paul, the sinner put away sin once and for all. Otherwise, there is an awful judgment that awaits those who have repented, then have fallen away. It would have been better for them had they never known the truth, which is Christ. “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6).

So many people today are following the new age doctrine that God has forgiven sins past, present, and future. This is false, totally unscriptural. Christ was not slaughtered so we could go and sin some more. His command is, “Go, and sin no more” “lest a worse thing come unto thee” (John 8:11, 5:14). Even the new Bibles and Bible dictionaries are very wicked in this respect. Sins of ignorance are propitious, but after salvation there must be no willful and wantful sinning. So repent of your sins, which means stop sinning once and for all, or perish. Begin by saying this prayer to God.

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
