THE DOOR (THE GATES)

by Tony Alamo

“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His covenant” (Psa. 25:14). You will see and experience the blessings of His promises. This is why David (King David) said, “Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for He shall pluck my feet out of the net [the trap, set for him by his enemies]” (Psa. 25:15).

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates [the gates or doors of your seeking heart and mind and reasoning hearts. Open your gates to receive instruction from God. Again]; and be ye lift up [wake up], ye everlasting doors [the entry way, the doors of your hearts where the Lord’s Spirit, His Word, enters into you]; and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. [Wake up,] Lift up your heads [open your hearts, open the gate to your spirit], O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors [where eternity, eternal life enters]; and the King of Glory shall come in [into your soul]. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of Glory. Selah” (Psa. 24:7-10).

The Word of the Lord is the Lord (John 1:1, 14, Rev. 19:13). Don’t let the Word of the Lord just slip or sneak through the everlasting gates of your spirit and your soul: let God’s Word, the Lord, rush into your heart as a river of life and make it stay there. Never let it go out of the gates except when you’re witnessing. The Word of the Lord is your very eternal life.1 It is the gates to the city (Heaven).

“Wisdom crieth without [outside your heart, consider your soul, God is attempting to get into your heart and soul with wisdom, which is the fear of the Lord2]; she [wisdom] uttereth her voice [the fear of God, His Word] in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse [wherever the Word of God is, is in the chief concourse], in the openings of the GATES [of peoples’ souls]; [whosoever has an open heart, an open door or gate to their spirit, to let wisdom, the Word of God, come rushing like a flood into the spirit, the soul]: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at My reproof: behold, I will pour out My Spirit unto you [the Word of the Lord is Spirit and life (John 6:63)], I will make known ‘MY WORDS’ unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out My hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all My counsel [My Word], and would none of My reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you [it is inevitable that all these things shall befall those when they are dying, because don’t pay attention to the Lord’s offer of mercy while they are alive].3 Then shall they call upon Me, but I will not answer; they shall seek Me early, but they shall not find Me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: They would none of My counsel: they despised all My reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Prov. 1:20-33).

Jesus said, “I AM THE DOOR [to Heaven]: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved…” (John 10:9). Jesus also said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6). This He said unto Thomas when Thomas said to Jesus, “How can we know the way?” (John 14:5)

As the flood in the time of Noah destroyed all flesh by the water under the firmament,4 so also does the Spirit, which is above the firmament, mortify or destroy the lustful desires of the flesh.5 That is, it kills all desire of sin in the flesh. “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do MORTIFY the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Rom. 8:9-14).

So open your heart now, open the gates, the door of your heart, and let the Lord of Glory come into you to give you His eternal life! Pray this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up the cross daily for the purpose of mortifying yourself, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of Christ.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of Christ. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for God on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for God on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the Word of God, then submit yourself and do what the Word says, so that the Church and the world may see evidence of your submission to God's Word, His order, and His authority in and by you.

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
