YE SHALL SERVE GOD ON THIS MOUNTAIN

by Tony Alamo

The thorny mountain, the very steep mountain, the difficult mountain, the mountain of GOD—this is Mount Sinai. This is the mountain region reached by the Israelites three months after they left Egypt. This mountain’s name means “thorny” in Hebrew which, in other words, means it is filled with ravines. Seneh, in Hebrew, means “thorn bush.”

Moses went up the mountain and received a message from JEHOVAH GOD declaring HIS past assistance and a promise of future guidance and protection on the condition of obedience (Ex. 19:3-6). The people were commanded, as are you, to prepare themselves for a direct message from HIM (GOD). A boundary line was set up around the mountain to prevent any of the people from approaching or touching the mountain, deliberately or by accident.1

Before this, on the same mountain, GOD spoke to Moses from a flame of fire in a bush that did not burn up. GOD told Moses, “Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto ME: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth MY people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto GOD, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? And HE said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye SHALL SERVE GOD UPON THIS MOUNTAIN” (Ex. 3:9-12).

Mount Horeb and Mount Sinai are one and the same. After Moses instructed the people of Israel not to cross the borders to the mountain, “The LORD descended upon it” (Ex. 19:18). The thick cloud in which HIS glory was shrouded was “in the sight of all the people” (Ex. 19:11). The people were brought out of their camp “to meet with GOD; and they stood at the [foot] of the mountain” (Ex. 19:17). And all Israel were able to hear the thunder and see the lightning bolts and the sound of the trumpet and they saw “the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not GOD speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for GOD is come to prove you, and that HIS fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not” (Ex. 20:18-20).2

I believe the vision I mentioned in my literature3 was me rapidly walking up the mountain of GOD, which was very steep. When the vision widened, I saw my wife Susie, who had terminal cancer, walking quite a distance behind me. In the vision, I turned back to get to her and to help her. I put my arm around her waist, and that very moment, dark, thick clouds and a strong wind kept us from getting to the top. It seemed that we were around one fourth of the way up the mountain. The wind was so fierce, and the clouds so dark, that we would disappear from view at times.

I was very young in the LORD at the time of that vision. In it, sometimes I would be brought to my knees while still helping Susie. This vision was telling me that we were in for a very tough and rough ministry. It happened just as I saw in that vision from GOD.

This month, May 19th, 2009, after almost forty-five years in the most persecuted and misunderstood ministry, GOD showed me that at the time of the vision, I was trying to do things using my own strength. Now, I’ve learned to trust only in the LORD.4 Recently, GOD showed me myself standing on top of the mountain, and JESUS standing with me. This time, it was in my mind’s eye. Getting to the top of the mountain without JESUS is impossible, but in the LORD JESUS, the struggle is over.5

Praise the LORD!! Thank you, LORD, for putting me through the fire to make me ready for the remainder of my ministry and make me ready for Heaven.6 By faith in JESUS, the WORD of GOD, we are saved and delivered.7 We can look up, see the clouds and Heaven, then in the twinkling of an eye we will be there. If you are desirous of salvation then say this prayer:

Prayer

My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. 2 I believe that He died on the cross and shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of all my sins. 3 I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit 4 and that He sits on the right hand of God at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart and I invite You into my heart, Lord Jesus. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that You shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 You will not turn me away, Lord Jesus, You will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because Your Word, the Bible says so. 8 Your Word says that You will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that You have heard me, and I know that You have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as You command and sin no more. 11

You've just completed the first step in a series of five steps which are necessary to receive salvation. Your second step is to deny yourself and take up your cross daily and follow JESUS for the purpose of mortifying your flesh, that is, for putting to death your own will, your soulful self, and the world with all of its lusts. All these must be baptized into the death of CHRIST.

Step three is your resurrection from the satanic life of Adam unto the sinless life of CHRIST. Step four is your ascension into a position of authority to reign for GOD with CHRIST on earth, and the fifth step is to reign for GOD in CHRIST on earth to the end for the purpose of bringing about the kingdom of Heaven on earth. You must learn the WORD of GOD, submit yourselves one to another, and do what the WORD says so that the church and the world may see evidence of your submission to GOD’S WORD, HIS order, and HIS authority in and by you. Praise the LORD. May GOD bless and reward you abundantly. Yours in the wonderful name of JESUS,

Praise the Lord. May God reward you abundantly.
