To Whom It May Concern:

I was born and raised in the Tony Alamo Christian ministries. This ministry is set up for people who want to serve the Lord so they can serve Him without the distractions of the world. Since I was young, my dad taught me many trades including: electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, welding, and many others. I am able now, as an adult, to practice these trades in the homes that the members of the ministry have built and purchased for the purpose of living in and housing homeless people who have a desire to serve the Lord. My dad never thought of his work as doing it for Pastor Alamo, but, rather, he was doing it to keep up the properties of the members of the ministry so the properties wouldn’t be run down.

There are many different kinds of jobs in the ministry to keep up the whole purpose for which the ministry was created, and that purpose or reason is that all the people of the world would hear the gospel. We have people who work in the print shop printing our pastor’s Spirit-filled literature. We have people in the mail department who mail the literature literally all around the world to people who request it (sometimes by the thousands). We send hundreds of thousands of pieces of literature all around the world every month. We also send Bibles to people that need them. All of this is done free of charge. We pay the postage and handling. We pay for the materials to be able to print the literature and for the electricity to run the press. Our Pastor said, “The Lord gave salvation freely to us, and I am not going to charge anyone for it.” The Lord has always multiplied the finances to be able to do this. We also have crews of people distributing the gospel literature to people hand to hand and putting the literature under the windshield wipers of vehicles; I have had the opportunity to do this myself. I have been part of this ministry my whole life, a little over 19 years now. I have been learning and practicing the skills that my dad taught me. I have never felt in all the years I have been with the ministry that I was working for Tony Alamo, but for all the members of the ministry, and most importantly, for the furtherance of the gospel.

Sincerely,

Zechariah Edwards
