MORE POWERFUL THAN THE BIG OAK TREE

When JESUS sent HIS disciples out into the harvest field to bring souls to GOD, HE first gave them the power to preach to the lost sheep of Israel without any fear of the devil.1 HE told them to simply say, “The kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils” (Matthew 10:7-8). JESUS gave them this power and authority, and commanded them to use it!2 HE also gives every SPIRIT-filled Christian this same power throughout the ages, and this also means today!3

JESUS commanded HIS disciples not to take any provisions for themselves, telling them not to carry “gold, nor silver, nor brass in [their] purses, Nor scrip for [their] journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves” (Matthew 10:9-10).

You don’t go out like this, without money and protection, unless you definitely have the power of GOD in you to do all of the above-mentioned miracles! JESUS instructed HIS disciples that when you do the works of GOD in the eyes of the public and in their houses, “The workman is worthy of his meat [his food, lodging, and all other provisions]. And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy [who is a Godly person or persons]; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:10-16).

“But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for MY sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the SPIRIT of your FATHER which speaketh in you” (Matthew 10:17-20).

I have written of the time I was at my Los Angeles church, one of several which I pastor. There was a huge oak tree around thirty feet from the church. I was outside before the service began, and I asked the LORD to make me as powerful as that tree. GOD told me that I would have to be millions of times stronger than that mammoth tree.4 I went into the church, puzzled by what GOD had told me. The church was full of people, and they laughed when I told them what the LORD said. Suddenly, it felt like we experienced an earthquake, and the church shook violently. People looked out of the window. It was the tree! It had fallen! Its roots were up in the air! GOD was not kidding. I have had to be millions of times stronger than that big, dead tree!

The battles that are being fought today are spiritual for the Christian,5 but for those who are secular, the battles that are being fought are psychological and financial. Every day for a Christian is a mountain hike, and sometimes a very difficult and stormy mountain hike.6 It takes the fear of the LORD to go out to the world with GOD’S message of “Repent: for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). If you want eternal life in Heaven, you will have to fear GOD more than you fear the one-world beast government of these end times we are in!7 And you can do it with virtually no provisions, with the exception of the POWER OF GOD and the authority of the name of JESUS!8

JESUS said, “Whosoever shall not receive you, or hear your words [which are really the words of the LORD], when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city [and we know that GOD will not at all tolerate Sodom and Gomorrah9]” (Matthew 10:14-15).

JESUS warns us all of the steep mountain with all of its difficulties (which has happened to our church) by saying, “And the [Christian] brother [who has fallen away] shall deliver up the [true Christian] brother to death [this is to save their own skin, they think], and the [fallen away Christian] father the child: and the [ungodly] children shall rise up against their [Christian] parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for MY name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

“But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the SON of Man be come. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known” (Matthew 10:21-26).

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the GOD of all power, who hath called us unto HIS eternal glory by CHRIST JESUS, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you” (1 Peter 5:8-10).

One of the names of JESUS is “THE WORD OF GOD” (Revelation 19:13, John 1:1, 14). We love to preach, teach, and distribute the truth contained in the WORD of GOD. We love the name of JESUS. It’s a daily mountain climb to Heaven, but well worth the cost. The LORD has given us spiritual armor to be victorious through every trial we face (Ephesians 6:10-18).

The Apostle Paul said, “Put on the whole armor of GOD, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:11-12).

We must be as our MASTER JESUS. HE said, If the unsaved people of the world called HIM who is the MASTER of the house the devil, how much more shall they call them of HIS household (we who are born-of-the-SPIRIT Christians) devils? (Matthew 10:25). But “fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear HIM which is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell” (Matthew 10:28).

Surrender your life to the LORD and HE will be with you always.10 “For it is GOD which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of GOD, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the WORD of life” (Philippians 2:13-16). JESUS overcame this world and so will we as long as we follow HIM with all of our hearts.11

“But thanks be to GOD, which giveth us the victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the LORD” (1 Corinthians 15:57-58).

This world will soon come to an end and our eternal souls will live in Heaven or Hell forever. Set your heart on Heaven.12 It is wonderful to be saved and know that the LORD is with you and you have eternal life with GOD. JESUS, the SON of GOD, came to earth as a man and died in our place as a sacrifice for all our former sins. Give yourself to JESUS now and accept forgiveness of your sins. Become born again of the SPIRIT of GOD by saying this prayer:

Prayer

My LORD and my GOD, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner. 1 I believe that JESUS CHRIST is the SON of the living GOD. 2 I believe that HE died on the cross and shed HIS precious blood for the forgiveness of all my former sins. 3 I believe that GOD raised JESUS from the dead by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT 4 and that HE sits on the right hand of GOD at this moment, hearing my confession of sin and this prayer. 5 I open up the door of my heart, and I invite YOU into my heart, LORD JESUS. 6 Wash all of my filthy sins away in the precious blood that YOU shed in my place on the cross at Calvary. 7 YOU will not turn me away, LORD JESUS; YOU will forgive my sins and save my soul. I know because YOUR WORD, the Bible, says so. 8 YOUR WORD says that YOU will turn no one away, and that includes me. 9 Therefore, I know that YOU have heard me, and I know that YOU have answered me, and I know that I am saved. 10 And I thank YOU, LORD JESUS, for saving my soul, and I will show my thankfulness by doing as YOU command and sin no more.11

After salvation, JESUS said to be baptized, fully submerged in water, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY SPIRIT.12 Then study the King James Version Bible, and, for your benefit and the benefit of others, do what it says.13

CHRIST and GOD the FATHER now live in you through the HOLY SPIRIT. There is a way you can receive a fuller portion of the divine nature of GOD in you. The more the divine nature of GOD lives in you, the more you will be able to stand against the temptations that have so easily moved so many millions of Christians away from salvation. Pray for the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.14 For instructions on how to receive the baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT and to receive more of GOD’S holy nature, ask for our literature or call. For without holiness, no man shall see GOD (Hebrews 12:14).

If you want the world saved, as JESUS commands, then don’t rob GOD of HIS tithes and offerings. GOD said, “Will a man rob GOD? Yet ye have robbed ME. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed THEE? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed ME, even this whole nation [and this whole world]. Bring ye all the tithes [a ‘tithe’ is 10% of your gross income] into the storehouse, that there may be meat [Spiritual food] in MINE house [souls saved], and prove ME now herewith, saith the LORD of HOSTS, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of HOSTS. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of HOSTS” (Malachi 3:8-12).
